hit validation is a scam (rant)
Apparently BHVR made a system that will make the server decide when a hit is fair and should be registed and not doing it when it isn't, so far the only time we have actual evidence of it working is when the survivor location is completely bugged and run into walls and into nothingness, but what about in regular games? like when the weapon is 1.3 meters behind you and still hit you? what when you vaulted the pallet and made 2 SPRINTING STEPS, when you get behind a wall or car or barrel and the hatchet hits you 1 meter behind you and above you???? this system is a scam and not even working at all,

It looks like your problem can be fixed by calling your good friends at comcast and getting some good wifi

Yesterday I was being chased by a Pig, I vaulted over a pallet, clearly landed on the other side, took a running step and somehow the Pig grabbed me and yanked me back over the pallet.
I get grabs. I've grabbed many a survivor playing Killer. But that was just laughable.
Not only that, but I was in Crotus and Trickster was literally hitting me through a wall somehow. His knives kept coming and I was in the building and he wasn't LOL.

I have good internet

Information between players cannot be relayed instantaneously. When you get hit 1.3 meters from the killer realize you were not 1.3 meters away on their screen.

I know about that, but it's bs that it hits you when it shouldn't even less if they "made" a system about it

There is definitely some compensation that is Killer sided when it comes to landing hits. As Mr_K said it is often because of a delay or desync between the Killer and the Survivor. Unfortunately, it is probably more fair for it to favor the Killer as they are the solo against four. If every Survivor in the round had hit preference and they were whiffing every strike/grab then that would be waaaay too punishing for them.
But it does stink! What kills me is when I leap from a window or something and they are still on the second floor and 'hit' me when I'm about to touch ground. Sometimes it's a laugh - it reminds me of a time I was in a round with a friend and he got one of those delayed hits and he just cries, "Oh god, Trappers got a gun!" 🤣
It's not as bad as it used to be but there is definitely room for improvement. Hopefully they iron it out more!

Killers with ######### internet or high ping get favoured.
EU is plagued by VPN using killers abusing this fact in order to cheat and get easy games.

Nah. BHVR just can't code a game which is playable with a match full of 40ms ping

Facts. I do think they designed it that way on purpose

at first it was p2p, this is why it's in that state

Remember when people wanted dedicated servers, because they thought that servers would solve hits from high ping killers? (which you could totally dodge, as you could see their ping in the lobby.)

These servers are just terrible. I played Gears 5 the other day and got 18 ping. Even playing Apex Legends I get 30-50 ping. This game is minimum 70 ping for me every game. Not to mention all the bugs on top of that...I think they need to invest in better servers other than these "Amazon Game Servers" they're currently using because they're just bad.

It's true.
Unfortunately p2p was better because you could dodge high ping lobbies.
BHVR could at least implement proper interpolation for survivors so they see the killer closer to them when they have high ping.

but we all know it's never gonna happen
