You Can't Win, With Some Survivors (A Rant)
A small rant here! Bring your dried meats; there's enough salt to preserve them!
I 2-hit the BT Survivor who tried to bodyblock me? I'm a filthy tunneler. You gave me the first hit for free. Why would I walk away now?
I avoid picking up the Nea with D. Strike? I'm a <bad word to the max> slugger.
I attack someone waiting to unhook the Jake I just hooked 0.35 seconds ago? I'm a <oh no you can't say> camper.
It's like some people just flat out think Killers are supposed to play sub-optimally because they say so. I actually asked the Nea if she expected me to pick her up, when it was obvious she had D. Strike (She jumped in a locker, I pretended to leave, then ran back to hit her when she jumped out).
Her answer was 'Yes. Slugging is for filthy scrubs. Don't be a scrub'. She actually felt she could shame me into playing badly. And she felt she deserved the D. Strike because 'sLuGgInG iS fOr ScRuBs!'
I'm getting REALLY exhausted of getting treated like garbage in end game chat because some <bleep> noskill Survivors heard some <bleep some more> twitch streamer bleat 'Camping iz bad!' and now they believe they get to match 'toxic' with true toxicity.
When they get angry that the Killer WON, and that's what it's all about, really. When they get angry they lost, they remember that 'XxXBillySurvivorMain420BlazeItXxX' said 'Only toxic Killers camp/slug/tunnel!' so now they believe they have a RIGHT to be toxic in words because I was 'toxic' first in action.
Y'all wonder why Survivor queues are so long? It's because SOME of you treat the Killers like indentured servants, and try to thrash us when we dare to break your made-up rules about how to play 'better' and 'not toxic'. When what you really mean is 'Play badly so we can win'.
And it's getting <bleep to the whole lotta bleep> exhausting. I'm not your GD toy; I'm a human being.

Just ignore it and stop taking it so seriously.
I had someone call me a camper yesterday so you know what I did? I said “ok” and proceeded to my next match. People are always gonna whine about something because gamers are extremely whiny. Trying to fight against it is like willing the sun to rise in the west. It ain’t gonna happen.

I've started to just respond with LOL. Either the survivor stops messaging me or they go on a huge whiny rant about whatever "toxic tryhard loser ez" killer action I did. Either way is a win!
But yeah OP, whiners are gonna whine. I'd recommend not responding (or reading it if that's an option!) or responding OK or LOL or LOL OK LOL because then it's funny.

it really sucks when some of these people act like this. i really wish it would stop but they want to keep their ego up so it prob will never stop.
the best thing is just to ignore them, they are the whiners and all they really want is to keep their ego up and get a reaction out of you

Just the title and the OP and i've already read the entire post.

I think Survivors are considered more toxic because it's easier to insult the other side when you have three people behind you to agree. Or three people to insult as well, because it's always the other's fault.
Don't listen to them. The rare time I play Killer, I just close the chat and move on. I've been called a hacker because someone jumped into a locker in front of me and I found them. I've been called a tunneler because someone was always coming in front of me, no matter if I went away from the hook and didn't come back when they got hooked....
It's sometimes hard to understand the other side point of view. And I guess people let their frustration speaks for them most of the time.

I have yet to see a gaming community where players get triggered so quickly. It's so funny and I almost joyfully expect the salt in the final chat. I imagine a manchild sitting in front of the monitor with his head red and getting upset with me. Dude, it's just a game!
I either don't write anything in the endchat or sometimes "My pleasure" or "Thanks for the salt!" If you are really "mean" you can just write "gg, have a nice day!".
If the game didn't go well for me, against a swf group, I read more often in chat "gg ez killernoob" I usually write then "You're welcome!"
Don't get dragged down by and play the way you like.

Take a chill pill and turn off end game chat I don't see the need to interract with strangers especially not in a game

The thing is, we can't just "ignore it" because the GAME DEVELOPERS will listen to this, side with it (partly because of its sheer numbers), and then patch the game accordingly.

I doubt it. Survivors have been complaining about these strategies for years now. If they wanted to do something about it then they would have already. The devs themselves have said these are legitimate strategies the killer can use to win.
They aren't going to listen to complaints about it so I wouldn't worry.

"Camping" is often confused with "patrolling". And "tunneling" is often confused with "attacking the injured Survivor instead of the healthy one".
The only version of "camping" that I agree with is facecamping. Where you literally stand right in front of the hooked Surv, and stare at them. But like... if they do that, it's a 1k game at best...
Whereas, why would a Killer NOT patrol a hook if they know 2+ Survivors are gonna try to rescue? It's literally math.
Survivors get mad when the Killer does anything that isn't intentionally losing...
Combined with how Survivor-sided this game is (by an offensive landslide) and DBD just isn't fun... Like, at all...

Well, no, the evidence we have doesn’t really support this. You know what survivors have been complaining about for years? Camping, tunnelling, slugging and NOED. And yet these things remain in the game, mostly unchanged - the devs have even defended them and said they’re fine as they are. The devs obviously don’t just nerf everything survivors complain about or Spirit would be gone, as would Hag, as would half the killer perks in the game.

Since all opinions are subjective, there's little that can be done when someone claims you're tunnelling. It's rare you'll come across somebody who is willing to reason, because in most cases the majority of these comments is to cause pain in order to relieve themselves of theirs.
Those people are like that because they choose to be, and their role in the game is separate from that. It wouldn't matter what side they play, as they would react the same way to a loss regardless.
Try not to think of it as a "side" thing, because it makes the problem so much more anxiety-inducing. There are many players who play one or both sides who are decent and just want to enjoy a few rounds, just as there are childish individuals.
Either ignore them, or turn it into a joke. I now always respond to any comment in character, whether good or bad. Admittedly, as I've started to write very recently it's now practice for my stories. But it is a lot of fun responding as a cowboy, a hillbilly or in tongues (amongst many other things). It either lightens the mood, or moves them away.

Just type gg wp and laugh as you watch the salt pour out of them. 😁😁

Just aim for the minimum of what you consider a win condition.
Sacrificing a specific survivor.
Breaking even with a 2k.
Brutal Killer.
3k and hatch.
Loss happens and it can push you to get better.

Survivors will literally say horrible stuff about you for no reason no matter what you do. It's especially obvious if you check the vods of ttvs you go against, I do that a lot cuz I like to see what they saw from their perspective, but it's almost always some bs or another about tunneling, camping or using a non approved killer, or because they have 0 awareness they demean every play I make cuz they don't know what I'm trying to do. Non ttv survivors do the same.
I literally have had survivors unhook someone and work on a gen, AND heal, and still if I chased them, I was somehow tunneling.
Do not ever feel bad about doing anything you need to win. Survivors certainly don't. Don't ever follow their rules unless you, yourself, want to. I know I stopped caring about their bs rules long ago. Way I see it, it's the devs job to make the game nice for everyone, I just wanna go into a match and try to get at least a 3k, by whatever means within the rules of the game, and I expect survivors to want every gen done and everyone out as fast as possible by whatever means as well.
And if they try to say anything to demean you after the game is done, either ignore them and move on, because they're seriously not worth your time and energy, or remind them that they're playing a role whose main objective is literally to just hold a button on an inanimate object for a few seconds so they honestly have no business telling you how to play or how "skillful" your tactics are.

Man people are still getting triggered by this stuff. Only thing that pisses me off anymore is bugs, certain nerfs, and poor optimization. GG and move on baby killers and survivors.

I went through a phase feeling just like you not that long ago when I learned nurse word of advice just play the game how you want. You own it so OWN it. GG them and play again it's not worth it responding trust me, it's not worth it taking your frustration out on the next group either so just ignore it.
