As much as i hate self care its not that bad
It's not that bad but I still loathe it with every single fiber of my body. the real problem with it is that when someone puts it on they just use it every time they are injured. i would hate the perks so much if people didn't overuse it so much. Plus a lot of the megs and clauds that use it just run to the corner of the map and use it EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GET INJURED.( not all megs and claud but enough to where I hate the perk) plus most of you who sue self-care are so scared of being injured which ya you have an extra health state but you can get better at chases and in general, get better at the game

Yes it is. You'll notice that good players don't tend to heal often. This is because it's a waste of time. Well, SC wastes twice as much.

i know im just trying a little devils addvicit plus I don't want to be too mean

It's not mean to point out bad perks. It's actually kind imo, because you're preventing them from future inefficiency and trash talk. Calling a player bad is mean, but I hope you can see that that wasn't my intention.

Yah I feel that self care is the only perk that i find detrimental to the team, as in if I had the choice between a random survivor runing it and that same random survivor having any other perk or no perk at all, I'd go with option 2 every time

I use to run it all the time until they nerfed the heal time to 32 seconds which is a waste of time for healing. You're better off applying gen pressure and waiting for others to heal you.

In pure numbers, self-care is a net 0 for the team. One person healing another for 16 seconds has the same overall impact as a survivor self-caring for 32. The issue is that most people that run SC are not comfortable playing injured. Sometimes opening a door or finishing before self-caring can mean the difference between several escapes or deaths.
The perk is NOT bad, I just don't trust people that rely on it.

I love this perk.
- Releases me from the responsibility of having to heal someone (unless I want the points)
- Encourages timid players to actually play the game instead of wait in a corner injured
- Amazingly useful when only 1-2 people are left and heals are rare
I personally only use it when I'm running a heal build, with at least botany knowledge to supplement it. That said, the perk is so handy when I do take it and is liquid courage for people who otherwise have panic attacks.

It's also one of the only reliable ways to get a steady source survival points.
C'mon devs, we need more survival point options than aren't associated with getting killed or escaping (healing on ground, wiggling, struggling on hooks, escaping).

that's the only time im fine with someone over using self care when they have at least botany

Self-care is just as efficient as being healed by another survivor.
32 seconds for a Self Care
16 seconds to be healed by another survivor, however there are 2 survivors spending time on this. The healer and the injured.
In-efficiency stems from the time spent traveling to a corner of the map to heal/looking for another survivor to heal you or by healing too often in situations where it is not needed.
Bonus points: Self-Care + Resiliance, just 99% heal yourself, use that sweet, sweet buff, then finish the heal when threatened.

I'd rather run inner strength, at least then I did something other than just heal myself.
Overall, I prefer to bring a med kit with addons for multiple use.

When I'm on my main doing aggressive plays I'll usually Run Self Care/Botany/Soul Guard/Desperate Measures.
They've nerfed healing a lot over time for a reason.

i like these things much more than. self care by a long shot

Self-care is my only selfish perk. My loadout as Survivor is Self-care, Fast Track, We'll Make It and Borrowed Time. I always heal teammates after an unhook if it is safe to do so. I do plan on swapping out self-care for Second Wind, though.

I run selfcare for endgame. I will play the whole match hurt but if we make it to end game and everyone is hooked but me but I'm hurt well I'll SC hitting every great SC and I will SB and save everyone with BT and we can run out 4 deep holding hands laughing about the situation as we head to the Winchester. Or i can just leave everyone since I'm hurt or go down trying. 😂😂

Self-Care isn't a bad perk at all, but players use it in the most inefficient way possible. Rather than using it to heal in a pinch, they run away and prioritize Self-Caring over healing other players, cleansing totems, or doing gens.

Self-care is the best killer perk

I might just start running that since survivors cant heal me or run medkits more.

Self-care got me the best downs with my Nurse Calling on Ghostface.
Good perk, I like it.
As a survivor I like Inner Strengh or Second Wind more. Better healing more interesting conditions.
