Otzdarva just showed how essential Bloodlust and how bad map RNG can be to Killers.
The First Place guy with 4:02 second chase time, 3 Generator would have pop at the time it took a down. The Killer would have probably chase someone else off at that point but still that's just frustrating that as a Killer you just wasted your time.
Good Killers would get the down faster but what about someone like a M1 Killer like Clown, Myers and Legion?

Wow who would've thought that not using your power as killer isn't reliable to secure winning chases
Also Clown? Clown has one of the best 1v1 kits in the game, making almost every loop unsafe
29 -
oh not this again...
23 -
Of course it's the cowshed video again
13 -
Like the killers you mentioned, theres also pig or huntress/trickster when out of hatchets or knives
I think bloodlust is fine and should stay
1 -
Otz literally said don’t use this video to prove a point
32 -
Funny how this is shared at least 3 times now, but it is considered completely fine that a Killer can win 50 games in a row. In a more realistic environment than those Cowshed-videos.
"Yeah, because Otz is doing that, he is a very good Killer!"... But Ayrun and Zubat are representations of the average Survivor player../s
25 -
What about killers who dont have a power for chase? Legion, pig, wraith?
Without bloodlust the chase would never end against a good survivor, even tho a killer shouldnt over commit to a chase like this, bloodlust is fine i think.
1 -
How dare you bring logic and facts to this place. To that I say boo, boo on you sir!
0 -
People posting the video: "i'm just gonna pretend i didn't hear that"
7 -
are you seriously using m1 only 1v1 against some of the best players of the game to make a point on balance? Do you think otz or any experienced killer would play that way in real match? heck do you think the survivors you see in the video would play that way?
1 -
Wraith????? Pig??????? Those two killers are really good, pigs dash is very good at closing loops, and she has built in slowdown in her basekit, wraith uncloak post Speed lunge too?? + Wraith has incredible map pressure given his recents buffs too. Legions power comes from literally slowing down the game forever
Without bloodlust it just takes skill to play. If you rely on it, get good period
6 -
This is such a ridiculous assessment of the outcome for some killers.
I main Michael Myers and I have never had 2 let alone 3 gens pop as a common thing.
If anything this video is basically just showing how bad it is to overcommit to a chase. I’ve had people chase me on 5 gen runs before, and claim the same thing.
Learn when to ignore a chase and go for other people. Use the one who keeps dropping pallets as a way to get rid of survivor’s resources. That’s it.
5 -
Good survivors i said, they will leave a loop against pig ambush, they will only loop safe tiles against wraith, legion only gets first hit then has to rely on mindgames, which GOOD survivors will outplay you at.
What im saying is bloodlust helps in certain situations, i dont see a problem with it staying.

I can’t tell if you’re serious or trolling.
1 -
Yeah those 2 are bad examples. But this kinda shows the problem with myers. He literally doesnt have a chase power. His schtick is to end the chase before it begins but you can hear him from longer than his tr distance if hes running dead rabbit and M and A. And good survivors can outlast the tier 3 just via looping. Myers is the personification of m1.
1 -
Yeah, Myers sadly suffers the most out of this, I can agree with that.
Sorry that my posts don't suit your killer weak and bullied :'( pov

Why are you using a video of a guy playing trapper not using his power on Fractured Cowshed, the most survivor sided map in the game?
A killer not using their power is like a survivor trying to loop without vaulting and/or not dropping pallets.
If you chase someone that long then no amount of bloodlust is going to help you. You have bad time management and are a bad killer and can't blame the game being busted.
Stop living vicariously through streamers and play the game and make your own experiences and opinions. The fact that you lacked the knowledge to to assess the context of this video showcases you need to gain a lot more experience before complaining about how bad killer is.
7 -
Not to his mention 102 x 4ks as Plague in a row.
3 -
I beg the differ about wraith.
If you have problems playing as wraith than it's most likely you have to adjust your playstyle and you will notice that he can pull of more than people think.
I play as wraith a lot and also played the day they put of bloodlust and still pulled of a 3 or 4k almost every game.
Now I'm not saying they should remove bloodlust.
Getting rid off bloodlust will force more people to play survivor, and a rework of 1 of the killer perks I believe beast of pray it's called.
What they should do is get rid of bloodlust 2 and 3 but keep level 1 bloodlust.
If you get into bloodlust level 2 or even in 3 than you've been spending way to much time chasing that survivor.
As wraith you can block of pallets or windows during a chase and forcing the survivors into a different direction.
Same can be done with legion, frenzy in front of them and block them forcing them into a different direction.
1 -
No. As a killer main, just no. Bloodlust is outdated and needs to be removed. If you didn't know, this is how it works. You get a tier of BL every 15 seconds in a chase, up to a max. of 3. Each tier increases your movement speed by 5%.
It just rewards killers for not playing well. You should get a hit in chase every 15 seconds, meaning that BL should never activate for more than half a second, where it isn't needed. If you think BL is necessary, you need to get better at killer.
5 -
Bloodlust level 1 I can understand existing, but the further tiers just should not be in the game. It needs to be capped, stop punishing survivors for playing well and encouraging killers to get into five minute chases.
6 -
He had no perks and used no power, he was a straight up M1 exclusive killer
Trapper could have shut down loops
0 -
Lets replace trapper in that video and throw in myers. Seems like a fairer example lol.
0 -
I still don't think it works great though. As Myers you'd 99 your tier 3, chase someone a bit and break a pallet or two and then bail to find someone out of place until you just instadown them before they do anything. If you're poping tier 3 and you don't get a down within like a second or two then you simply messed up as Myers.
Even if you want to use the video example then wherever the first hit would be should be where the chase ends and not only that but the extra vault speed and lunge distance could also come into play to end chases earlier as well so it still doesn't work great.
It's a fun little video but rather pointless as a showing of killer weakness or op's statement on bloodlust and map rng.
2 -
Can't wait for the eventual post of "Look how good RNG and GOOD maps for killer make them OP" lol
Oh wait, that won't happen lol
This is pretty much what I mean. People will sit on here and say Plague needs more love yet he's got over a 100 win streak with her.
Some people just have to accept as killer that the game can be unlucky sometimes. He could have this map with good survivors and not a great build. The next game the survivors could get a Wraith on Hawkins with Ruin, Pop, Undying etc..
3 -
There are perks if you are not good with ambush on loops, like Spirit Fury and Enduring. Same for legion and m1 killers
edit: if you will say about windows, there are Bamboozle too.
0 -
Myers is also not the best example, his tier 3 has an extended lunge and a faster vault with instadown capabilities
0 -
Wow, a killer playing without power against a survivor who had all pallets available on the map.
1v1s are not 4v1s, there is no team resource management and if a survivor does that at the beginning of the match their team is screwed.
1 -
Oh great this again,
0 -
Apology denied.
Where did I mention anything about killers being weak or bullied? You said Pig and Wraith have anti-loop. I just found that quite funny.
0 -
Okay, a few things.
1) This was a dumb fun little thing Otz did. Not meant to indicate the necessity (or potential lack thereof) of Bloodlust.
2) The killer was not using their power. A Legion or Myers would've gotten a down in 48 secs during that chase, as the chase proper starts at 22:08 and the first hit occurred at 22:56, and a Legion/Myers would've one-shotted. Clown would've shut down a loop entirely, making the potential chase time hard to estimate.
3) This is literally cowshed, one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game. It's like bringing up Haddonfield; the problem is the map.
4) You're the killer. Time management is your job. It's your duty to go, "okay, this survivor is too good and/or in too good of a position. I got a few pallets out of the way, I need to go pressure elsewhere and find them out of position later." There's nothing wrong with needing to drop a chase occasionally because a survivor's position is too strong, otherwise, THAT long chase happens.

Im not stupid i know how bloodlust works
And also i never said it is necessary, and okay i dont know why you need to personally insult me and tell me to get better as killer.
No it is not necessary, i just said it is useful in certain situations with certain killers, and i dont see a problem with it staying
Dont put words in peoples mouths
0 -
Im not having difficulty with wraith why is everyone trying to educate me on stuff.
All im saying is that i dont see a reason to remove bloodlust, like some people say because it can HELP in some situations, i never said it was NECESSARY
Theres a difference
0 -
Why are people personally attacking me, i didnt say i had problems in chase at all.
0 -
Just gonna make this clear
All i said is that bloodlust can help in certain situations, i never said it is necessary, all im saying is i dont see a problem with it staying.
I dont have problems playing killer, i dont need people trying to educate me because they think they know better.
We all are allowed different opinions
0 -
Are you really using a video from a streamer who thinks blood lust needs removed to defend blood lust?
1 -
This content has been removed.
-
Don't worry I don't try to educate anyone on something.
I was talking more in general and not to you personally as I don't know how you play.
I meant it more as in if people have trouble as wraith.
As for bloodlust, I said the same thing.
The only type of bloodlust they can remove is 2 and 3.
They can keep bloodlust 1.
0 -
Psst. This is not how it works here. Only the arguments that suit the respective OPs will be used.
2 -
Okay thank you, im sorry for taking it too personally
And yeah bloodlust 2 and 3 i can agree is too extreme and can be scrapped
0 -
Oh yes, I forgot.
0 -
I do see an issue with it staying. It's the same reason I don't like things like DH, well, any second chance perk really. It rewards you for bad gameplay.
0 -
The survivors also didn't use perks. But your point is taken. The general problem though is that the core game, after eliminating every factor (killer power, killer perks, survivor perks and hell, even looping and pallets) a survivor can waste far too much of a killer's time before 5 gens are done.
0 -
He also showed us the importance of picking your battles correctly and using your goddamn power. There's always going to be that one Meghead/baby Dwight on the team who not only gets killed and deprives the team of a player, but probably goes down with some collateral damage and camps the shack pallet.
0 -
stop chasing with wraith! wraith is a stealth killer.
even THEN, wraith's new speed boost with his uncloak DOES give him chase strength anyway.
either way, exclude wraith from the "m1 killer" example. he's not meant to be chasing.
