Aim-dressing tech?
Has there been some aim-dressing tech survivors are abusing these days? For the past month or so, more and more survivors start to wiggle side-to-side just when I am about to lunge and then aim-dressing yanks my camera around and causes a miss.
I can assure you guys that I wouldn't be making this thread if something about this didn't raise my suspicions, as I land hits on survivors not doing that wiggle just fine.
Anyone here share similar experiences?

Everyone does that. Have you just noticed it?
It is supported by the devs, so it's not an exploit if that's what you're wondering.

It's more of a console issue than a PC issue because of the joystick, but yes, I've experienced it.

Yeah, sometimes the game decides it wants you to swing in the wrong direction

maybe happens on console, not on pc you rarely get aim dressed on pc but it happened to all of us a couple of times at least. maybe on console is way often.

Yes, it's so annoying. So many hits that could have been but never were.

I had someone do this to me yesterday. I literally swung at them and my character just did a t rex lunge (really short) and hit nothing instead.
The game can't seem to handle the pc to console conversion as i am always having aim dressing issues against console users at windows and corners when their ping is 70+ The game will just force me into the structure or window frame instead of hitting the survivor.
Can you call it an exploit rather than a tech please?

Ah yes the console butt-wiggle I call it. I've smacked a few walls and vaults because of it, and even managed to pull it off a couple times as a surv. Unreliable imo to learn timing-wise.

That's more or less what supported by the devs means. I don't really think it's problematic anyways though, so...yeah

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees them shaking there butt ,but do you think survivors know what it looks like?

Yes. I don't mind 360s, but trying to exploit the autoaim with this is infuriating. Wait till you see somebody who's perfected it.

Yeah, that's a thing. A bit of advice I can give is to not try and track the survivor, but to use your lunge and their 360 to beat them to a pallet or window so you can bodyblock them.

They need to fix it already.

Trying to dodgd a hit is not a tech. It's normal gameplay. The game acting up in return is simply the game being #########.

Won't work if you know how to react.
But I also noticed that if you straight look at the Survivor you wanna hit, even if there are multiple other survivors around the one Survivor you aim to hit, you can hit them now. Just yesterday. A guy tried to tank a hit (was tunneling) and in the past that shouldve worked out for him. But I tried really hard to aim for the other one and it worked. Hard to describe how it works but it did.
So that's cool. I like to neech things where you have to find out how to do certain things like fast vaults on very difficuilt windows.

That's the simplest type of juking a survivor can do. Just don't lunge early and you are good, since they are moving side to side you will get in the simple M1 range much faster anyways.

I play on PC.

I'm not talking about side-to-side juking, I can handle that. As others have pointed out, it's more like a butt-wiggle. They don't physically move side-to-side all that much, it's more that their character model wiggles side-to-side.

Thanks you two, that fits exactly what I've been seeing lately.
If this increases, I might just turn off crossplay again.

I think it's rooted in the inconsistent connections we have on console, as another mentioned earlier in this thread.
Not lunging seems to help some, but if your normal swing does hit it always looks like an aweful miss to the surv, hence why they'll complain about it. And yes it does look like a clear miss from their perspective.
There may not be a solution to this through Crossplay.

I also like when the hit misses and plays the missed animation but is suddenly connected to me despite missing. Can we fix that exploit called inconsistent connections.

I've had games where the survivor will make weird wiggles, not even spins, and it will completely mess my lunge up when I'm not even turning.
It's bizarre and annoying and it feels terrible because its the game actively trying to prevent you from landing a hit.
