So... Can we get a better anti cheat?

o.o

This is actually the more minor stuff. He was able to use basically anything that's on the killer side. Hatchets, vomit, victor, etc. Wallhacks, teleporting, flying, you name it. Actually still a live stream but that would be 'witch hunting' to give anything.

Careful what you ask for. There are some really intrusive anti-cheats out there and they don't prevent cheaters any better.

Having an active team to review and ban cheaters is gonna be better than a better anti-cheat. Thankfully I've been fortunate enough to have only experienced 1 cheater but from their attitude seems like they weren't worried about getting banned.

Anti cheat is actually pretty good. It's just that once one person can get past it, everyone can.

Trust me you dont want something like Denuvo in this game.

DBD should just use their money to make their own anti-cheat, if possible. If not, then EAC will do, I guess.

EAC isn't actually that bad, people just found a way to bypass it, I guess. I really hope EAC does something about it.

I’m actually talking with someone about a lightweight anti cheat which would focus on server side implementation to allow suspicious activity to be flagged or even banned automatically. An example like being under the map, doing actions at a rate which would be impossible.

    Interesting.

The thing is, being under the map can be caused by crappy internet or in-game bugs by complete accident.

I noted down a few obvious cheaters (like this one, or a survivor doing all 5 gens alone in about 15 seconds) and they're still not banned months after. Meanwhile one of my friends got banned because his Internet connection screwed up and from server side it looked like he got teleported over a great distance. His appeal was rejected and he never played this game since then.

    Yeah great anti-cheat :')
