Gens Still a Problem?
Idk if this is a thing, but do the survivors have a reduce gen repair speed when 4 are alive compared to 3 or 2?
It seems like it's too easy to do 3 gens at once at the start especially on some unfair maps. So say like 10% Reduction repair speed base alone if there is 4 then bring it to 6% if there is 3 alive, then 3% and so forth. Maybe just have a reduce repair speed for the beginning and iver a certain amount of time it goes back to normal.
I just think matches can be luck base at the start and even if I down the David in seconds, 3 gens can get popped as hook him because they all spawned apart. The shroud the makes them seperate isn't even an advantage honestly. A disadvantage if anything.
HONESTLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU ALL THINK...GENS TOO EASY TO FINISH ESPECIALLY OFF AT THE START?

Someone made a very good post about this a long time ago, I think it may have been @NMCKE. It was essentially about why tunneling the first person out of the match was so effective because once you got down to three survivors gen progress almost came to a standstill and if there weren’t many gens done before that time it seemed almost impossible for them to win. I think there was a similar suggestion of repair efficiency based on number of people remaining that could possibly alleviate the need to tunnel, incentivized the remaining survivors to still work gens instead of hiding and waiting for the killer to kill the others and maybe even make the hatch an unnecessary mechanic.

If a change to generator speeds is needed, PLEASE don't just make them take longer to do. Actually doing gens is the most part of survivor, don't make it worse

Gens need to be changed, similar to HSH (Needing to get items for it, etc.) and then they can rework all the gen regression perks like ruin, etc...
It will make the game a lot healthier and fun to play

Definitely. I jusy suggested an idea that idk if it even help, but it be better than what it is now ya know.

I understand. Don't want to make players waste more time sure, but matches go by really fast at times and you can either make gens take longer, or add more objectives. Either way it takes away from being a survivor.
I do definitely know what you mean though.

100% The game is balanced for a 4v1 aspect. When it's a 3v1 or 2v1, the Killer can have a scary advantage. I have had people DC with 2 to 3 gens left and the 3 others die, due to pressure being more tight on them.

No, why?

That's fair, just actual gen rushing seems to be luck base and can tilt a killer for just trying to find someone at times.
Still would need to support survivors who are down a guy or 2...Like they need a chance. 3 Gens and 2 people left, THAT'S GG.

- Killers are stacking 2 or more gen slowdown perks.
- 2 or 3 gens go by the time the killer gets his first hook.
- NOED always triggers when killers equip it, despite very easy to find totem spots.
So yeah, i´d say gens a still a problem.

Problem with NOED is you can do gens, have someone take the NOED/chase till hit while others check for it. By the time they are hooked you can just save them with BT.
Shame NOED is also a fun perk suffering from the gen speeds. Haven't gotten it much however recently.

The problem are not generators the problem is you with all the bus that The Killers have been getting lately and you still can't kill anything it's not the game it's your lack of skill

I don't think gen speed is a problem per se, Survivors need an objective since i doubt BHVR would make a different game mode that focused on chases instead. So i think the problem resides in the gymnastics that killers have to go through to accomplish their objective. finding a survivor can be time consuming, Double chasing a survivor for 1 hook is time consuming, getting to a hook might be time consuming then there's the possibility of all this being denied by flashlights or sabo or bodyblocks or pallet saves... time wasted for nothing.
It's not survivors fault that 1 or 2 guys can be cranking gens while killer is failling to apply pressure on gens just like it's not a killers fault if he can't pressure gens if he is chasing 2 or 3 people all the time, alternating hooks and never getting to go after gens, killers objective isn't gen defense it's sacrificing survivors. It's the chase and hooking aspect of killers gameplay that can take too long sometimes and some killers suffer more than others on this aspect.
So either remove gens, remove a huge balance issue and focus the game around chases, speed the whole process up, maybe have all 5 players rotate between roles on fast speed rounds of killing or surviving so everyone experiences both sides and the better they do the more BP they get. This would solve alot of problems in the game and community, namely reduce grind, reduce balance issues, reduce perks cause gen regression perks aren't needed, reduce the gap between SoloQ and SWF since good Solos will save their ass more often. This may offer more room for sandbagging sure but you get your turn as killer to absolutly chase and murder the hell out of that survivor too. We could balance maps better cause we don't need to account for gen location, we can balance killers cause they don't need to have their kit tailored to offer slowdown, they can focus on lethality or chase potential, it would help the community understand both sides better and have a better consensus on what balance changes should be made if bHVR would listen.
Another idea is to keep everything mostly the same but everytime a killer hooks a survivor that survivor gets timmed out and they stay timmed out untill killer gets another hook, this reduces map pressure from survivors, helps Killers that need some set up since they can gain time by removing someone from the game, would reduce the need for gen slowdown perks. This would allow killers to genuinly focus on chasing knowing they can buy time every now and then.

Love those ideas and appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Yeah some maps with some killer make it like impossible to defend most gens. I had a slinger game where I downed everyone in about 15 seconds give or take but because of the joys of Mothers Dwelling even though I knew where they were because of BBQ gens would finish before I had walked there yet.
