We are getting a RESIDENT EVIL CHAPTER tomorrow and you are still arguing about the same ######### thats been settled a million times. I hate this place.
Edit: My point is not that you should be talking about RE and nothing else, its that we should stop complaining about stuff that doesnt matter.

The new flashy thing doesn't fix all the problems or address other interests in the game.
Personally, I don't care for resident evil, so it's nice to see threads not talking about it.

Because people are obsessed with the RE characters, and go to great lengths to ensure that their favorite character is better then another person's favorite character. Even to the point of belittling the said person along with the character

Alot of people are very excited and are grateful, but we still talk about other things because the RE chapter isnt going to fix everything, and we care about this game.

I feel licensed chapters are just ways to attract fresh meat for the grinder to keep the game going. Instead of fixing the foundation they're putting a fresh coat of paint on it.

I think the biggest thing, as others have said, is the DBD veterans want the game balanced and the bugs fixed more than we want a new killer or survivor skin.

I don't think the RE chapter will be released tomorrow, just the Broadcast. Shouldn't the RE chapter be released on the 14th of June?

We don't need one. Tomorrow is when the chapter reveal is happening, and tomorrow is also tuesday. The day we always get the ptb and chapter releases. They're not gonna reveal the new chapter, and then say "Also, you have to wait another full week to play the ptb."

On a serious note:
There is not much to discuss at this point. We just know that the Chapter will be based on Resident Evil. And thats it. No other information currently.
For me personally - I was never really into RE, so I dont care that much. In the end, it will be a Killer which I might or might not like. And a Survivor which I will most likely not main anyway with mediocre Perks at best.
So I am not that hyped for the RE-Chapter, more hyped for other things which will be announced in the Anniversary Stream.

In general, discussing game health is good, so long as it is kept balanced and civil. Regrettably, there's a few people who cannot remain civil and feel that anyone who dares question their point of view needs to be smited for their insolence.
I'm excited for the RE reveal and what the new year has in store, as well as it's longevity. Also, I'm certainly not someone who batters the devs - I genuinely think they do well overall. However, to not bring up imbalance, bugs and concerns would not be healthy for the future of the game, so it does need talking about too - just not like the playground garbage that sometimes stinks up the place.

What is there to discuss about bugs and optimization that hasn't been said? If it's a new bug it's like "oh, neat" and that's it. Nothing else to really talk about other than to all pray it gets fixed in about 6 months' time.
As for optimization...you know how many threads have been made about it in the last 3 years and the response to optimization has been questionable at best? No amount of discussion or feedback is helping. It's either not a priority or it's so impossibly difficult to improve that they're still not close to finding a solution

I'm less hyped than I thought I'd be. Probably because Blight is the only killer I've truly enjoyed since before Deathslinger.
Will we get a map? If not that sucks but if we do it'll just be another ######### Hawkins probably.
Will the killer be fun to play? Hopefully but they'll probably be either a no counterplay no fun allowed killer or Trickster 2.0.

The norm is the bugs, the imbalance, the awful playstyles, the unfair perks and killers. That's why people talk about them.

I know this bait, but hey I'm psyched for the RE crossover. Gonna die a little inside when one of the survivors is Barry, but thats my own personal issue. Can't fathom who the killer is, but there are so many options that would be awesome or hilarious.

Did you looked at the last Killer they released?
They all share an unhealthy abilitiy. Slinger, Pyramid, Blight, Twins, especially Trickster, (spirit, Hag)
Camping and tunneling is still way too strong. Bloodlust is still a thing. Map reworks didn't made them better. Still too many safe pallets but way too less pallets total. Huge deadzones, unnessecary breakable walls for whatever reason they have to be everywhere.
The Grind is a big mess, even removing all perk tiers would'nt be enough and they won't do that for, again, whatever reason.
Certain perks, addons aren't good for the overall game health.
Over a hundred perks are so bad that most people won't use them.
But ay we get another chapter, with plenty bugs and bad perks and another super unhealthy killer ability. How can I know? Because we're getting worse abilities over a year now, chapter by chapter.
Matchmaking is a mess.
And now last but not least.
We've got over 20 Killer and 25 Survivor. We've got almost 200 perks. To complete everything you need a big wallet and what,10k hours playtime?
We don't need new Killer, we need a big, a big big quality of live chapter, maybe 4 of them. Where we change everything that's unhealthy. Without going into detail bc that's way too much to discuss right now.

The first and last teaser was like months ago. It's really not surprising the conversations died out. In contrast to the usual things you see every day in the game.
People will talk about it again tomorrow when there actually is new stuff to talk about

There is always new chapters around the corner. Why focus on something we know so little about when there is millions of things in the game already to talk about?

I just 🤣 at the killer for camping while people do Gene's. The only thing makes me made is when team mates do nothing to help.but I the killer tunnels,camps,or hits me on the hook

I have never played RE. My first experience was watching Otz's RE 8 playthrough. I could not care less about the RE lisence. However I do care about the state of the game and the direction the game is moving in.

Quality of Life changes better than new chapters in my opinion, as much as i love RE and slighty excited for it...i'm more excited for the road map and other news.
