Midwich Elementary School should set a standard for Exit Gates

You can say anything about that map, except that the Exit Gates are badly designed. They are at a reasonable distance for the killer to patrol them, they have LoS blockers to help survivors sneak around them, and to top it all they are fixed. All this make the end game feel more balanced and engaging for both sides. The more I play that map the more I think that every map should have Exit Gates with those characteristics.

Midwich shouldnt set a standard for anything, unless it gets removed and whoever designed the map send to the corner with the pointed cap to think about his actions, it can be a standard for that.

Jokes aside and on a more serious tone, its not the first map featuring such Exit Gates setup, The Game has them like that and Lery's too (most of the time).

I can literally walk back and forth between the gates and prevent escapes that’s not balanced

The exit gates are the only thing I can consistently find on that map. Generators? No. Totems? Hell no.

The map needs a major rework.

This, the exit maps are consistent and the only way to improve the distance is to make the map bigger. But then it would make the map unfair for both sides to only unfair to killer.

The map needs a complete rework.

I feel like most of the people complaining don't know that, as Survivor, if you get the Gate open until just before the first red lights up and then hide; the Killer won't see any signs of you having been there. In the time it takes them to leave to the other Gate and come back you can usually then finish opening it before they can get a hit on you.

Or you can run Wake Up! and definitely get out.

Obviously, Trapper, Clown, Snare Freddy, Plague, and Whispers can all counter this, so I wouldn't say it's amazingly balanced, but it's not as bad as it seems from seeing Survivors who try to Yolo it just die because you can walk back and forth between them.
