Any plans to fix this camping and tunneling issue?
I have just finished my 7th game today and all of the 7 games I have today have tunneler and/or camper killers. I say, I'm fed up. Lots of people here don't think this seriously because in their area, they don't encounter it. But in SEA, most of the killers I played with do this. The killer I've played with right now is on rank 2 and easily got 30k BP, yet we worked so hard only got 12k each and had no remorse saying that it is allowed.
At least make don't give points to those who got kills by tunneling and camping so doing such acts won't be worth it for them unless they are desperate to get lots of kills or just for fun(even though not fun for the survivors). Killers have options but doing the act of camping and tunneling will greatly reduced on higher ranks.

Tunneling isn't cheating.
Camping isn't cheating.
Jjst because the Killer implemented a poor strategy and you allowed them to win, doesn't mean they cheated.

The maps aren’t fun for killer since you spend years moving around, simply just reduce the size of maps or increase the amount of generators needed to leave. Camping usually means some form of action, when i do play survivor I spend time unhooking and chasing and not on gens for a reason

Devs solved the camping and tunneling issue by introducing Undying. It made a great combo with Ruin. By rewarding killers that didn´t camp or tunneled.
Now Undying is gone, because survivors didn´t like the idea of cleansing totems.
What did survivors expect would happen?

Look... I don't know how long you've been playing this game... and I'm not trying to come off as a jerk or anything but if the killers decide to camp or tunnel they are allowed to do so.
It's not a punishable thing... The Devs have said it themselves. If you want to punish the killer for camping... Do the generators or if you really want to save your teammates bring Borrowed Time... If the killer is Tunneling, either be good enough to loop them for awhile so that your teammates can have enough time to finish generators or just bring DStrike.
There's perks and playstyles in this game that can help avoid all of this.
I'm sorry that you're not having a great experience with the game but it'll get better down the road, sometimes you just have to take the L from a bad gameplay and move on to the next game.
Honestly it has nothing to do with being over seas. Everyone that plays this games has been camped and tunnelled before, it's a common thing and you'll run into a killer that does it once or twice every ten or fifteen games. Seven games back to back is very unfortunate and I feel bad for that happening to you.

Yes, it is not cheating but completely an a-hole's way to play the game. And waiting for the long queue in the lobby then you'll just get killed immediately because you were camped/tunneled? I can understand if the survivor is very good at looping and/or playing toxically, but it happens even the survivor isn't good at evading the killer.
I'm talking about certain people that are willing to use cheats or everything they have just to win, won't care if the other players would get pissed off, and they have no qualms in claiming victory because it is pretty normal for them.

I just played 4 matches as the most toxic insidious basement Bubba. It was fun, would have been more fun not having to do it by not getting an undeserved 2 man escape with keys since BHVR refuses to nerf them, so I'll keep camping.
Chainsaw go BRRRRRR

A couple of things, a Killer that got 30K+ gave you a lot of hooks. Killers cap out (just like Survivors) in how many points they get in each grouping. 32K is a perfect game. That means your Killer got lots of hooks, lots of chase time, broke lots of pallets/walls, and pressured your Generators. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't trying to con us. That means you are simply misinformed and making a lot of assumptions (wrong assumptions).
I play both Killer and Survivor. Most of my Survivor is in the Solo Queue. It is my experience in both that has taught me that Survivors tend to identify Camping and Tunneling INCORRECTLY most of the time, and confirmation bias makes them think it is happening far more often than it is in fact. I used to think I was being Tunneled and Camped every game too. Some wiser, more experienced people told me the same thing I'm going to tell you now:
- You are wrong.
- You need to research those terms and understand what they mean.
- You need to learn to tell the difference between a Killer's plan and Survivor's mistakes.
- You need to start recording every match to review later to see what you can do better.
- You need to start tracking what happens in your matches using your recordings to do it accurately.
- You can then take stock and understand what is actually happening and how often.
- Once you have firm grip on the reality of the situation, you need to research what approaches will work better.
- You need to put these new tactics and useful information to use in the field.
- You need to log thousands of hours in the field. There are no shortcuts to getting good.
- Last but not least, you have to always be self aware. We lie best when we lie to ourselves. We like to scapegoat. It is easier on the ego to blame other people or the game for our failures. The only person you have power over is yourself, so there is no point in applying your energy and time to anything other than trying to improve yourself.
Does that sound like a lot of work? It is work. All worthwhile things, even games, require some work. Dead by Daylight is a continuous stress test. It isn't just the fictional Survivors being forced to relieve a horrible situation over and over again; we are right their with them. You have to weigh whether or not the stress is worth the fun you are getting. You have to weigh whether you care about really getting good or just want to play for some laughs. If you want to get good, then I've given you a starting point. If you just want some laughs, ignore everything I said and just play the game. The caveat is that you should stop complaining. If you aren't willing to do what it takes to overcome those obstacles yourself, it is unrealistic to ask the DEV to do it for you.

Yeah, they are allowed to, but because it is really effective, the killers that I encounter in my region used it as a tactic. It is either they want to win or earn lots of BP, it is truly effective. If I notice that a survivor is getting camped, I give up on them, but the problem is my teammates, they try hard to save them. Or even I fall victim to camping/tunneling where I'm just a pretty average player and not good at looping nor using flashlight(I suck at it, specially after the update).
It looks like it got accepted by everyone in this forum, probably because it rarely happens to them. But in my case, more than 50% of chance(probably around 80%), the killer is playing like an a-hole(playing dirty is too understatement).
Can't we just have fun? I'm fine getting killed or even get mori'ed. Just stop doing those despicable things. I love playing against good nurse and I applaud those that can do ungodly mind games.

Nothing will be done about it. Yes it sucks getting camped or tunneled. Just deal with it. If 3 gens pops and I just got my first hook, what am I supposed to do? I basically have to proxy camp the guy on the hook and hope to punish survivors altruism at that point.

What you call killers that are patrolling around the basement building? Or intentionally chasing the freshly unhooked survivor despite of there are other survivors near the killer? There was an instance where the killer is near me and can see me repairing a generator went back because the survivor got from opposite direction which is a lot further than me got unhooked and downed then hooked again until he died.
True, the killer on my last game hooked the other 3 survivors three times and me twice that was why he got 30k BP. Well, I saved him first and didn't know that the killer is just patrolling the shack area, and thought he's leaving. When I saw the pattern, I didn't tried to save anyone again from the basement and just focused on fixing gens. But what can I do alone playing with other stupid survivors? Everyone is fairly high ranked but they can't see that the killer is camping.
So to discourage most killers to play like an a-hole, better add some kind of deterrence. They can still do the camping and tunneling if they want to, but in exchange they won't earn points doing that. If they really want to reach higher ranks, they should start playing properly. Doing such sh-tty play proves that they are low-rankers. Do anyone here sane enough to think that a douche player should be on green and higher ranks?

It is fine if you chose to, but there should be a compensation for such act. Also, if you think you can't catch the survivor(specially those with object of obsession), just leave them, their builds are for getting chased and can't do much when repairing generators because they're too busy getting your attention. So there'll be only 2 survivors busy with the generators.

I'd have to write you a long essay to thoroughly cover this topic, and I'm trying to do that less often. You are relatively new to the game. I feel for you; I really do. We have all been there. However, I'm a straight shooter. I would be doing you a disservice by telling you anything other than the cold, hard truth. Tunneling, Camping, Slugging, Herding, 3-Gens, and a whole lot more are just tactics, tools in the Killer's tool chest. Sometimes they are the right call and sometimes they are not. Survivors also come with a pretty well-stocked tool chest; the difference is Survivors have to work as a team for their tactics to work. I understand your frustration, but I want to assure you that it isn't the Killer who is to blame for your woes. It is a combination of your teammates and yourself. Success only comes with time. If you like you can play with me and my friends so you have a taste of what it is like to have people who:
- Attempt Safe Rescues as a first choice
- Bring Borrowed Time
- Bring DS
- Carry things like the Styptic Agent
- Are willing to risk downs as viable bait
- Unhook with themselves between the Killer and the person they are saving
- Are willing to take protection hits for the unhooked
- Are willing to trade hooks for the good of the team
- Are willing to take risks to sabotage hooks
- Are willing to steal chases and/or do shoulder saves
I could go on but I'm moving into essay territory. Long story short, it isn't the Killer's job to protect Survivors or make it easier for you to rescue them (or be saved). In fact, their job is the opposite. It is the job of SURVIVORS to protect one another. You get points for rescues; altruism is a key part of the game and advancement. You don't get those points for nothing; the DEV expect and want there to be risk so they are earned. Think about this fun fact, the game is designed to ring a big old DINNER BELL whenever someone is unhooked. The Killer is getting both an audible and visual cue when a rescue is taking place. Why would they do that if they didn't expect the Killer to return to the hook, or at least give them the opportunity? One might infer from this design that the DEV want rescues to be dangerous so that the points are earned. They also give Survivors all the tools they need to deal with the problem. I've been rescued from a face-camping Killer, right under his/her nose, more times than I can count. It isn't impossible

I'm definitely a new player. I just stop playing after I get fed-up because of these arseholes. True, they are tactics but being used almost all the time because it is effective, this need an immediate fix. Borrowed time has little chance of success because the killer will patrol the area, sneaking in has low success rate. I'll definitely get hit first before I could save the hooked survivor, and evading the killer is close 0% success rate so I'll definitely get hooked and camped later, and I doubt if others have BT or can do better. So I give up on playing too altruistic. Trading hooks is full of demerits.
The few times I used DS, proved that the killer will more tunnel me because they got pissed off because of it so I stopped using it too. Sabotaging hooks can only work if the other two survivors are chasing after the killer and watching all of the hooks near them. If I find that the survivor is on last hook, I start to do protection and steal chase that usually leads to less gen repairs.
Regarding rescue from face camping, it will only work if your teammates are SWF, I tried to work with random players to save 1, but in exchange we lost two people. Sometimes the other two, sometimes I'm one of those two that get killed.
Rescuing someone always comes with danger and adding the element of camping the entrance to basement will just make it sucks for the poor survivor, yet the killer will just benefit more on it. So to make things more balanced and fun for everyone, then making such douche play would earn them nothing. They can still do it, but in exchange they won't receive anything from it. They can go after the altruistic survivors but please don't chase the freshly unhooked one.

I don't know, you may just want to look at your gameplay. I only play solo queue survivor. Sometimes I'm a ninja and my teammates are on fire, other times we get washed. The game is the game. We can only control ourselves and try to influence what we can. Just keep playing and keep learning, like anything else. Don't get too invested, just enjoy.

Oh look; I seem to have dropped some pertinent information about camping & tunneling:

Ask for gen speed Nerf before asking for tunnel Nerf.
