Ez Ruin Rework
Ruin is disabled at the beginning of the trial
You see dull totems in yellow within a radius of 18 meters
You can interact with any dull totem whenever you want and assign Ruin to it
No more RNG :)

This would be actually good, except the killer will choose an unfindable spot on difficult indoor maps like lerys, Hawkins, etc...

This should apply to every single hex perk to be honest.
Interact with a dull totem for 2.5 seconds to light it up with a random hex perk in your loadout (or just make it selectable somehow).

This. Plus Killers don't have much time to chase & down Survivors as it is. Why give them ANOTHER time-wasting task at the same time?

Just make it spawn on the closest totem to the killer. That at least would prevent survivors spawning on top of it and cleansing it immediately.
Sure survivors would be able to narrow down the hex location to half of the map, but that's still a large area to search.

Or how about just make all totems blocked by the entity for at least the first 30 seconds of the trial.

Just pay attention when you set-up your ruin location
The idea was to let the killer put ruin in the area he wants to protect, or give him the opportunity to wait the mid game to use Ruin and put it into his 4 or 3 gen.
It's more interesting to reward killers for their decision-making than pure RNG tbh

You know, I like this idea. You see, Ruin is actually a lot better during the middle of the game when survivors have to balance out rescuing and healing teammates rather than finding totems. I think I once made an idea like this where Ruin only spawns after 3 or 2 gens are completed while only regressing by 150%

Well I mean If you know totem spawns there is no such thing as the unfindable spots and small game and rainbow maps exist so Nothing is unfindable!!!!

Ruin is fine. Don't add more objectives to killer its the survivors who need the objectives.
