What if killers had the option to MOVE which totems holds the hex?
There was many post long ago that maybe killers should decide which totem they want their hex perk.
Instead, would it be better if we could change when we want it only once? the totem is lit and we can see if it's far or not from a gen, we see it's close to a gen, we find another totem elsewhere and perform a short animation to lit this totem instead which will put out the previous totem, it could also be used to protect your totem, if you chase a survivor and they ran next to it or fall next to it, you can get the survivor and get to another totem if you find one and change it's position, but it will be only once per match, since it requires you to perform a animation for a few seconds any survivors that see you doing it will know you moved your totem so you might lose it very soon.
It would make hex perks less RNG based on spawns, since many totems spawns directly next to a gen, it could help with this issue, obviously reworking totems placement would be a better options, but you know Behaviour.
If the killer is using undying this option is not available, undying is meant for that.
What do you guys think?

No bad idea since you, yourself said that is what undying is meant for. And you would have to take out time as a killer to find the rest of totems, unless you got thrill of the hunt. It would be better for them to rework the totem spawn locations.

Then they waste a lot of time cleaning house.
More totem spots and better locations is the fix.

Could be a good idea except most times I find a hex totem at start of match it's because the killer is checking on it. If killer were to set their hex totem it'd just give away the location to any survivor paying attention to the killers location.

Am I alone in thinking they're doing a good job with totem spots lately?
Even in old maps, they seem to have added new spots that are kinda crazy.
Here's one that blew my mind in particular:
Though some spots do suck still, I admit that.

More on-topic, I wouldn't if killers chose the spot too much. Don't know how it would work but I can't think of a reason why I'd mind yet, as long as it was from a list of pre-determined spawns so they didn't try to bug it.

There are still spots out in the open on old maps.

Not only that if the survivor has detective hunch ruin is 100% gone since it shows you all the totem location within 64 meters. Based on my experience the only map were detective hunch won't find all the totems without running across the map is haddonfield since it's huge, and I'm going to assume RCP since it's huge map as well.

The totems should just have a better location tbh

you sure about what you said?

Considering I was giving recognition to the newer spots in old and new maps that have been introduced lately, but still acknowledged that some spots still sucked...
Yeah, I think I'm pretty confident in my words.

I rarely get good spots, and when I do, it's the other killer

That could work if DBD also introduced a general 'set-up' phase of a match start. You know pick your Hex spots, set up Hag or Trapper Traps, et cetera.

killers would see the map and probably leave

They have that option already.

you mean like RE resistance, but we all know for BE it would be extremely too much work and if they wanted to work on it now it would take them 3 years to do it

It’s a cool idea but I think revamping totem spawns in general is a cleaner solution.

would be if the devs would actually work on those things
