SWFs get to abuse keys for ez escapes, meanwhile moris are still considered an issue
Anyone else see a problem with this? Why do I have to endure premade groups with maps and random keys abusing the hatch mechanic while I have to struggle on a low tier killer like Trapper?
It's already bad enough that these groups completely negate my power by nonstop disarming my traps and/or using Dead Hard to dash over them. Why are they allowed to blatantly rob me of any further interaction or even chance to get more than a single kill out of these matches with the use of a single item?
The complete lack of care from these devs is seriously upsetting. Your main priority should be to get rid of this broken mechanic as soon as possible, moris are NOT the problem here.

I thought Lord Tony banned lmao

Sometimes they hatch escape. I don’t usually change how I play killer for keys.
Its really satisfying knowing they lost despite their key advantage and enjoy the challenge.

When you play a low tier killer don’t expect to win a match against 4 good survivors

My biggest issue with the keys is they still have no comments on upcoming key changes but oh wait here's details on the next change to moris! Personally I like that moris will be implemented as a base mechanic and not just a straight up offering, but it's still kind of annoying that we've had this many changes to moris and the only changes to keys aren't changes to the keys themselves but the hatch mechanic (I know that keys and the hatch go together but I'd still want to see something that involves the actual key instead of stuff like "keys were just buffed because you can choose where the hatch spawns" or "keys just got buffed because as long as you stay alive the longest the hatch will just appear").
Like we've had one very insignificant nerf to keys in the time it took the devs to nerf moris twice and even tell us what the next mori change is. If they actually think survivors won't group together when the hatch spawns and look for it so the ten seconds max on the hatch being open means something, they're wrong. Besides if there were 2 survivors left it would stay open indefinitely until the last survivor jumps in or the killer closes it.

The mori is still considered toxic? It's literally just a visual alternative to final hook now. Find it concerning how long they spent addressing the mori and then mentioned keys as a 2s end note.

Killing a survivor on death hook is toxic.
Jumping down a hatch with two of your buddies is fine.

ultimately this is the right answer, albeit a bit meanly delivered.
if you're playing trapper, play for fun. seriously, just don't worry about it.
i hate keys too when i'm playing killer, and i play trapper too! but the first step is just putting these concerns out of your mind and concentrating on the fun aspect.

There's no fun whatsoever in seeing the first 2 gens pop as you set up your traps and to see the remaining ones light up with each down you get - and that's when you're quick at ending chases. It's truly appalling how weak Trapper is in his current state. To experience a hatch escape on top of that is just additional insult to injury.

Same, little surprised it wasn't him.

was he actually?

the...
trapper gives up the first 2 gens in exchange for trapping his 3 gen. at the start of the game, as trapper, there are no survivors. there's just you and your 3 gen. if you need to set up faster use zanshin so you can see the pallets and window auras so you can get them trapped quicker but by all means the first 2 gens don't matter to him. arguably, the first 4 gens don't matter to trapper.
readjust your mindset when playing him and you'll have more success, readjust your attitude towards winning or losing and you'll have more fun.

the mori before ther nerf was toxic, the problem is that developers are taking too long to nerf the god dammit keys

Get off of the Soapbox Brenda. The devs announced a rework to keys around the same time that they announced a change to moris.

Keys are broken, but sometimes keys are used fairly.
All they need to do is make it so key only works for survivor holding. SWF needs all gens complete currently, change it to gates open or the single person escapes mechanic. Then for 2 players make it so last-gen needs to be popped but gates can be closed. Basically, extend the length of time or the milestone in-game for keys to be used.
Keys are broken because they take a game in which survivors would have lost and gives them a victory, but they are sometimes the only chance survivors have. It is not fun playing survivor and knowing you're dead regardless of what you do. It's kinda similar to when the killer couldn't close hatch so they'd stand on it...or when they camp....sometimes it's the only option. It is broken sometimes not all the time...

Fair point.

Exactly! I main clown which has lead to me not taking the game seriously

Probably. The mods probably looked at his Twitch 😂

That's not funny.

You can just look at his profile. But i think its against forum rules to discuss bans.

But where is the key change? 🤔
0 -
Yeah and look what took priority...I am abusing keys right now because developers cant be bothered
1 -
They were bothered enough to announce a change Karen.

They also announced mmr and ranks giving blood points rewards so I am not holding my breath🤣
1 -
They also announced a mori rework and delivered so I am holding my breath *obnoxious emoji to demonstrate my smugness*

- but they are sometimes the only chance survivors have.
If a magic door on the ground is the only chance a survivor has of winning, then he didn't deserve to win. He failed at everything. Doing gens, distracting the killers, keeping teammates alive, etc.
Why should the killer be given a loss and a derank because survivors can't win fair and square? Killers don't have a magic item that gives us an immediate kill with no effort required.
As always, survivors feel entitled to win without putting any time or effort into the match
