Perks with unnecessary downsides: Hex: Blood Favour

Hex: Blood Favour is a perk that entity blocks pallets within 16 meters when you hit a survivor with a basic attack, and this has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

The fact that it's a hex makes it even less reliable as a perk, and many people have said that it shouldn't be a hex.

16 meters is not a big area of affect, especially considering how survivors play normally. Smart survivors will not stick around in the area where they've been hit; they will use their sprint burst from the hit to gain massive distance on the killer. So even without this perk being equipped, survivors by default will perfectly counter it.

You have to hit a survivor with a basic attack, so killers who usually down with their ability like Leatherface or Huntress can't really use this perk effectively.

And lastly, ladies and gentlemen, this is a hex perk *with a cooldown*. Does this perk really deserve a 40-second cooldown, let alone... a cooldown? This practically guarantees that you won't even get that many uses out of it before it inevitably gets cleansed.

This perk might have the most downsides of any perk in the game. It's no wonder it was never saw play even at launch.

I think it would be much better if it blocked pallets 16m AWAY from the killer. That means the killer can still make the survivor waste the pallet and the survivor will have to go to a much closer pallet, which means no holding W. As a Hex perk I think this would be more appropriate.

I would prefer it to just straight up keep those pallets blocked until the totem is cleased.

On top of this, any dropped pallets within 24m of the attack are immediately broken.

    No cooldown.

I'd like the basic attack condition removed, but it's BHVR.

There you go. Hexes should be OP.

The worst hex perk to date.

There are many ways how you can make it good / decent.

Most importantly, remove the cooldown. It's Hex perk... Or keep the cooldown but remove the Hex from it. Both would be nice.

And then, increase the range to at least 24 meters or make it that the Survivor who was injured can't interact with pallets for 15 - 20 seconds or something.

Honestly I think this wouldn't even be OP if it blocked every pallet on the entire map. Like you say, currently it is totally useless as survivors can easily leave that tile with their speed boost.

Even if it blocked every pallet on the map, the Killer still has to leave that tile and travel the map and pressure other survivors to get value out of it. Definitely needs a rework IMO.

The cooldown mechanism on a hex is interesting considering it can be yeeted anyway. If there is to be a cooldown then remove it from a hex.

I disagree, I think that making it not a hex will kinda kill low to mid tier players. I would personally make it also block windows
