Idea for Dead Hard change

Right so we know how annoying it is when survivors dead hard for distance so they can get to a pallet... So why don't the developers implement a small radius around the survivor while Dead Hard is active (Injured) And you only have the option to use it when the killer or any other form of damage enters that area. This would both prevent the idea of "Dead hard for distance", and would actually create a less boring mechanic which most killer players despise.


So basically make it so there is a radius around the survivor, like 4 meters or something, and the survivor can activate Dead Hard if the killer or any type of ranged damaging power enters that area, resulting in the whole "Dead Harding" for distance mechanic being removed.

The survivor would also be forced to medium vault if they choose to wait to dead hard to get to a window with this change. Also they may go too far past the pallet if they choose to use it to get to a pallet as well.

    I think that would still allow survivors to use it, I mean they can still just dead hard when you get close and even sit close to a window or pallet to use it.

    But at least they can't dead hard when they are 10 meters away from you at shack for example, they will not have to do it much later, resulting in a higher chance you will be able to hit them.

    Doing this would have to have a tradeoff like making dead hard a GUARANTEED dodgeor some other buff bc dead harding for distance was all the perk got going for it. How many times as killer you KNEW a survivor had dead hard and laughed at their pitiful attempts to dodge only to get exhausted on the ground, or you just waiting for them to dead hard in your face? Too weak and unreliable without that aspect imo

    i think this is a pretty good idea but salty swf mains are gonna be terrorizing everyone if this makes it to the game...

    What would be something else to change (if this makes it into the game) is to dead hard off of something while doing a fast vault, this way people will be able to jump off windows when they wasnt able to dead hard before to get to the window. i think this change would also make survivors think of when to use dead hard. (and ofcourse if you dead hard off a vault you would be stunned for like 2/1.5/1 second) this way dead hard would be actually skillful

    using dead hard for distance would be more difficult, but still entirely possible. against most killers, being outside the set range would mean the surv wouldn't have to dead hard anyway. i prefer the idea that you shouldn't be able to vault for a brief period of time after using dead hard
