If roles would change?
Lets play different game today. All survivors joined killer team and all killers joined survivor team. All roles changed. Who would be best survivor and who would be best killer? Respond by looking at their backstory.
I am starting game:
Best killer would be Ash Williams, he has good weapons and he already killed so much demons, he has experience.
Best survivor would be Wraith because he had hard times when he was child. He survived in really bad locations, so he would be okey as survivor.

Well we all know the answer, best killer would be Nea....jk, I think Bill, he knows how to fight and Quentin, cause he already kills me with his face.
I think Hag would be a good survivor, cause she had to endure a lot after being kidnapped

Wraith should definitely become the equivalent of Blendette, judging by his killer power and tome story.
And Doctor will become the annoying flashlight clicker..
Yun-Jin is already almost a killer based on her backstory, she would adapt just fine as killer.

I never thought that but yes, possibly Doctor would be new Nea.

Cheryl could use the dark part of herself so she would be a really powerful killer.
Spirit would be the perfect survivor as she never killed anyone and her story could be tweaked a bit : instead of her dad killing her aswell, she would come back from the school to discover both her mother and her dad corpses (he suicided). She would then be taken by the Entity has she has no more family and no hope for the future.

So, if we're looking at ALL backstories for ALL characters, Ash would single handedly be the best Killer. To date, from what I could find, he has dispatched 61 deadites, many with special powers that far surpass what a man could reasonably deal with. The RE characters will clearly dethrone this, but for the time being, he probably has the most experience killing.

Jill would probably be the best Killer, and Nemesis would probably be the best Survivor.
Especially considering Nemesis is the REmake 3 Nemesis; who, despite being unable to swim, survives being submerged in acid among a bunch of other rather insane feats.
I'm honestly not quite sure how most of the new Killer cast would really manage to kill him. Even Jill struggles to, and that was by using an experimental super weapon.
As for Jill, she's killed a LOT of ridiculous stuff aside from the aforementioned Nemesis.
I think the fact that an undead great white shark and a genetically modified superhuman tyrant are some of the easiest things she's killed really kinda speaks for itself.

If we're talking only original characters, Huntress would probably be the best Survivor and David would probably be the best Killer.
Huntress not only survives, but thrives in a nearly inhospitable wasteland by herself as a child.
She's not going to be as great as she could be without the ability to fight back directly, but she's going to be far from a pushover. She'd probably have perks like Leon or Jill's that allow for indirect ways to slow down amd combat the Killer.
David for his part is really good fighter. He's not superhuman incredible in the way that nearly everyone else I've mentioned here is, but he'd the best out of the non-licensed characters.

Imma take it a step foward .
Dwight as killers would be "The Despot"
killer power: Relm Shaper. Allows The despot can turn lockers into Mimic lockers or allows you to place a mimic locker in preset locations, interacting with a mimic locker allows The Despot to teleport to a different locker in the map. Survivor who enter Mimic lockers will be put into de wounded state and cant exit the locker for 15 seconds.
Perks
Bound: Marks a survivor as the obsession, every time the obsession get withing 15 meters of another survivor both of their auras are revealed for 10 seconds, this can only activate once every 45 seconds.
Burdens of leadership: Marks a survivor as the obsession, every time a non obsession survivor is hooked, the burdens of leadership gains a token, each token applies an actions speed penalty of 6% per token, stacks up to 5 times, at 5 stacks the obession becomes exposed, the survivor affected with burdens can remove a token by perfoming one of the following: Repairing a generator, Healing a Health state, taking a protection hit, performing a safe unhook.
Crunch time: Marks a survivor as the obsession, when the obsession is repairing a generetor with other survivors increases the chance for all working survivors to get a skill check, failing a skill check on the generator will cause the entity to block it for 6 seconds.

David, Ash, and Cheryl would probably be the most dangerous killers out of our current cast - a vicious berserker with daddy issues, a dangerously practiced and self-interested 'hero', and someone who can project something dark and otherworldly. Claudette might be a poisoner, making various weakening or even lethal tonics out of her plants? Elodie becomes a sort of witch, using occult research, artifacts, and voodoo (well, not specifically voodoo, that's American and she's from Madagascar) to hex the survivors - so she and the Hag might trade places to a degree. Kate is a siren whose voice has lulling or damaging effects on the survivors - she might even have a mapwide song that's slightly directional but mostly masks her location.
Wraith would make a cool survivor - his perks would involve hiding and alerting fellow survivors that the killer is coming, like how he used the wailing bell as a child. Trapper's best traits become enduring abuse and looking out for his friends... so he becomes the new David, really. Huntress would be a skilled solo survivalist like Jake. Plague would be all about faith and healing, so she might end up having perks like Quentin and Ace - passive heals and divine favor giving the team slightly better odds. Spirit wants to make the people around her happy, but has a temper, so she's probably team-oriented but has a 'fight back' type perk in her roster.

Jill Valentine would be the best killer. She goes up against Nemesis. And wins.
Best survivor would be Myers. Super durable, and can sneak around like the best Claudettes.
