Is the Killer reveal exploit back?

I was watching back a vod of a streamer I played against and they knew I was a Trickster on the loading screen, 40 seconds before the game started.

If it is, it's an entirely new method as the log files are very much still encrypted.

And unless there's more examples of that person being unrealistically good at predicting the killer in several matches, it could just be a lucky guess. When I play with people I like just saying stuff like "It's gonna be <killer>" or "It's gonna be <map>", and sometimes I'm right πŸ˜„

EDIT: And the post below is a possibility too, I don't know who's who in the clip and if someone that had never faced the Trickster before was in the party they'd get "Facing the Trickster" loading screen tips.

You're all probably right, he was rank 15, SWFed with a Rank 1.

You are not wrong, just a little correction:

It is not only for new players, it is for every player the first time they verse a Killer. So the person saying this might have not played for a while and it is their first game against a Trickster - so they get the Hint in the Loading Screen.

Actually... I predict that they will have to add the killer and a quick killer power description onto the loading screen in the future. There are more and more killers in this game, it is hard to know what each of them do for a new or occasional player.

Maybe even the perks will have to be listed with a description.

Several people have said this already, but there's a really good chance that the person who said "It's a Trickster" hasn't played in a while or hasn't played against a Trickster. They then got the "Tips for playing against Trickster" hints and shared that info with their SWF. It's a little sucky that can happen, but those tips do need to exist.

Certain it is the first three times going against each specific killer on an account.

Like everyone said. If you've never faced a particular killer before then a loading tip will appear in the loading screen. You stop getting those tips once you face that killer about 5 times. In my SWF we got a friend who rarely plays and he often gives us a heads up "were facing a trickster, twins, PH" ect. I wouldn't call it an exploit because it's built into the game and they don't find out until the match is loading in. By then you can't change your perks to counter said killer.

Now if say you were doctor and magically ALL 4 survivors were running calm spirit. Then id say that was a hack for they had no way of knowing prior to change their perks. NO ONE runs calm spirit out of the blue, let alone all 4 survivors.

Sorry what? They already have pretty clear descriptions.

Yeah but new players will not go through a dozen of killer descriptions before starting to play. The loading screen should show them the description of the killer they will be facing in the match.

I did. But to be fair, there were a lot less killers then.
