Anyone else just not really care about this chapter?
Probably because I am not a fan of RE but this chapter just isn’t interesting to me. The new map looks absolutely terrible and will play about as well as midwich. The new perks seem okay if not a bit weak and the new killer seems like PH 2.0

It's really just the map and the AI zombies I don't like.
The perks seem cool all around, which is rare for this game.
The Characters are cool. Nemesis has enough changes to make him unique.
The map is now a contender for the worst map in the game though. Should've stuck with the streets of Raccoon City. (like in the trailer...)
Zombies are just gonna get in the way and have nearly the whole game often decided on RNG.

Yeah fair enough. I guess I’m just worried about zombies being map dependent and rng based but at least he a bit more unique than someone like trickster

I mostly care about the map & Leon tbh. You're right about the perks, I think people are trying too hard to make them seem like they're better than they really are.
But who knows, maybe someone will show their worth once the chapter goes live, or after a while. Especially that one Nemesis perk that lets him see the auras of survivors for a few seconds & then it's gone. People seemed to really like that one for some reason.
Personally, if I wanted to end up playing with perks that could last a few seconds, I'd go in with a hex only build.

The perks are pretty weak for killer and survivors. But I'm getting ready to see a bunch of leons running around with flashbangs in live version as in the ptb pretty much every leon was trying was to flashbang you. But I have to say I did try eruption with surge and worked out pretty well since I had set up a 4 gen and I downed someone near the 4 gens, and it did 14% damage to all the gens. But overall the chapter is not that interesting to me, nemesis does play kind of similar to pyramid head, but it feel it's more boring to play him. Since he is a slow paced killer. The map is actually worse than midwich since there is a lot more narrow hallways and is huge. At a first I thought the map was going to be survivor sided since of how big it is. But after playing it I actually think it may be killer sided since it has a a lot of narrow hallways with small rooms. And I found it was actually hard to find gens, now maybe because we don't know the spawn locations yet but the map felt more killer sided after playing in it.

Yeah, I feel sort of the same. The newness of it all went away fast and I am very disappointed with the strength of Nemesis. The only part of the chapter I liked was Leon being in the game.
The map is also a huge disappointment since we know BHVR isn't going to fix it any time soon (at all), and it is actually so bad it is insane.
As for the survivor perks they are alright, mostly fun which is good.
But I guess I can't really complain because the devs confirmed in the RE reveal livestream that lots of good things are coming. I guess we just have to keep waiting... but that's all we ever do.

Not excited about the killer's tentacle power. I very much agree it feels like PH 2.0, and saying I'm not a PH fan would be an understatement. Still I think the zombies are a pretty cool and unique addition.
I'm definitely excited for the new survivors and the map, though. RE 2 Remake was one of the best PC games I've ever played so I get a real kick out of how faithful they stayed to the police station from that game. While I totally understand someone not into RE being frustrated by the gameplay if the map just doesn't play well - I haven't tried it - I think I'm going to be happy enough with how spot on it is to enjoy playing there regardless.

Nope, this is probably the best chapter for me in while as I'm in love with the killer. I didn't enjoy a killer power this much since I've began to main slinger.

I like the RE franchise but I was kinda disappointed when they revealed Nemesis' power. Idk, I guess I just expected more than just another version of a ranged attack. The concept of having AI that could help out the killer seems interesting though so I'm curious what they're going to do with it in the future.

its a funny way to see it but this chapter came to break the entire match ruin and bring in a way selfcare to clutch, leon perks need a rework as I said in past posts, Leon need rookie spirit to maybe reduce the regression of a generator by 40% at a time, then it would be a good perk as 4 rookie spirits would make ruin 120% regression on 4 gens, BtB needs to make you heal faster when in the killer terror radius, and flashbang its jst a bad perk and Idk how to buff it or if it even needs a buff just like many other bad perks at this game, counterforce is gonna make ruin last the time it should as it shulndt last all match as ruin is a perk not to take 2 gen in the first minute of match, the 50% heal off the hook might make selfcar worthy as it is gonna heal you with the normal speed but its still better just to let someone hheal you and the gen mine is not coming in clutch by any way as the gen is gonna be popped neither way and the stagger isnt considerable as killer are not gonna pop gens that someone just got out be cause they have the chance of having this perk altho its bad. Thats my view of the chapter, nemesis has the starting of the game average perk that can make some interesting meme build to jumpscare survivors but still not phenomenal.

Nope, Leon is one of my 4 most wanted survivors (now that I have a person that weirdly smiles all the time [yes, I wanted that since the start of the game and was very happy when Ace was announced], Steve Harrington, a blonde survivor, and now Leon Scott Kennedy, I have every survivor I ever wanted and won't ask for anything relating to future survivors ever again) and I'm extremely happy he's here.
I will admit I'm not the biggest fan of Jill, but I know a lot of people love her and for that I'm happy she's here.
The Zombie A.I. opens up a lot of possibilities for the future I'm excited about. Mainly as a Doctor main, I hope the Doctor Hallucinations will go after survivors, but it opens up potential bot matches and DC bots which I'm excited about.
The new map looks awesome, admittedly bad to play but looks cool.
And Nemesis, I'm speechless but know I love him.

I am RE fan and i am really waiting this chapter. But Nemesis need little buffs, i hope they gives that before release.
2 -
It's not my case. I have never played any RE, but I am very excited about this chapter. I really like the new killer and the map.
0 -
Yeah, I get ya.
Despite myself being an RE fan, I'm kinda disappointed with the character selection we got. (No characters or maps from any of the modern RE games.)
Gameplay wise the R.P.D looks like it's going to be a #########-show.
Nemesis seems like a boring rehashed version of other killers.
The thing I'm most excited for is Leon+Jill's perks.

The new map is completely horrible for both sides; it's like they tried their hardest to make the worst indoor map ever.
Nemesis i find him quite boring. I don't like the concept of zombies that you can't control giving you advantages literally for free, there's nothing skillful about it and you can feel totally robbed as survivor when you see the dumbass zombie sandbagging you. I feel like it's worst kind of RNG. The tentacle ability is alright i guess, but Pyramid Head's punishment is more interesting.
3 -
Yeah I'm not an RE fan. I can see why they chose it as it fits well but I'm not that bothered about it at all. Killer doesn't offer anything new apart from some zombies that don't do a lot. Im glad we got a new map but that looks like a nightmare for Oni and Trapper lol. Quietly and respectfully waiting for the C21 Halloween killer
0 -
That's what its all about. Hopefully others feel that way about future chapters. I'm still stuck on ghostface 😅
1 -
I'm not an R.E. fan so I was never hyped in that aspect. Nemesis looks like a retread of previous killers (though I get its hard to come up with a new unique power after twenty something killers).
The new map is visually beautiful but looks like a nightmare to play on for both sides, except maybe stealth killers. I am indifferent to the new perks.
1 -
Zombies just seem too rng dependent to be useful. On indoor maps they will be very strong but on maps like mother’s dwelling or ironworks they’ll be useless
1 -
I like the perks. The killer is okay but he's not fun to go against- and the map is HORRIBLE. I literally like to play in Hawkins this map is just terrible. It looks cool? Yes. But who cares in a game that's all about chases and stealth? This is not an exploration game.
0 -
Yeah the map is atrocious. Not midwich level bad but close
0 -
Yep.
Map is atrocious gameplay wise, survivor and perks seem neat,Nemesis is whatever i guess.
Like,i'm super happy for all the Resident Evil fans out there but i really don't care too much about this chapter.
The only thing i'm interested in right now is Optimization and some more controller settings

Well, I like the Chapter. The characters are nice and perks are relatively interesting. The map is atrocious tho.
My dissatisfaction comes from the current state the game, not from the new chapter.
0 -
Yep all I want is more killer balancing and map reworks (not visual gameplay wise)

I understand where you're coming from, but I admit I'm quite excited for it!
One thing I was not feeling was the infection on survivors. Although I like how it buffs Nemesis over time, it was a shame that survivors weren't affected much worse than a bit of coughing. It would have been fun for survivors to ultimately die and come back as AI zombies, so I feel they missed a trick there.
The perks are decent overall. I especially like Bite The Bullet, Resurgence and Blast Mine. Nemesis has weaker perks compared to the survivors, but the information gained from Lethal Pursuer is a great way of starting the game. The other 2 perks are decent enough and add a bit more chaos to proceedings.
And I do love that zombie couple!

I’m super excited for this chapter. I do like RE a lot and I have played RE 2 so I know the map pretty well but I can understand how people will find it confusing.
2 -
map plays like doo-doo but otherwise Im pretty pumped for it
0 -
I can understand that. I feel like overall killer design has taken a step back since now every killer seems to need a way to damage over pallets
0 -
Imo every single thing, except balance, took a step back. But I agree with you on that one, killer design has been... not that great, recently.

I myself am not an RE fan but after seeing the PTB I'm pretty be excited for this chapter.
0 -
I like that they went with iconic RE characters.
Nemesis I will say I am a little dissapointed in. His power is ok but I feel its not much of an RE power but one which fits the game.
Survivors I really like how they look and Leon or Jill was who I was hoping for. To have them both is great.
The map well it looks amazing so I give credit to the art department. For game play though I don't really like the indoor maps as much as they feel too restrictive for both sides and hard to navigate.
The zombies I am not a fan of them. While it fits the chapter I feel they add to much rng to chases especially in indoor maps and at times you can be outplayed by them blocking the way for both sides through no fault of your own.

I went in not caring as I don't care about RE. That said, I like the perks and love that the killer just straight up punches people.

Gin Ichimaru as a survivor
Aizen as a killer.

I do understand where you're coming from but I couldn't disagree more. It was fun playing as and against Nemesis, I'm thrilled with seeing Jill and Leon be introduced and I, honestly, do like the map although, yeah, it's def on the large side. Also, when it comes to zombies being map dependent, I honestly didn't see it all too much, they were in general, pretty darn good. That said though, I did use both quite a bit of speed and detection addons for my zombs which helped quite a lot. This is probably my new favorite chapter they've made so far for DBD, knocking Stranger Things off the pedestal for me.

I'm the opposite it's been a while since I was this hyped for a chapter, at this point i don't really care about perks, instead of bringing new mechanics they just keep releasing perks similar to the ones we already have I would be ok if they announced they would stop making them.
