Dropping Survivors Late In The Wiggle
Is there a point where you can no longer drop survivors, perhaps once they are a certain percentage into their wiggle?
Many a time I've tried to drop a survivor, knowing I won't make a hook, but it hasn't worked and then they've suddenly wiggled free. Is that a thing? Or am I imagining it?

yes. dropping a survivor jumps their escape bar by I think 20 Percent. you can usually only drop them 4 times before the drops and the time they do have to wiggle completes their bar.

this is a think because killers countered old DS by dropping survivors before they hit the skill check while still caring them for a few meters

It's 25% per drop. If the survivor wiggled 75% or more they jump off.

Wiggle drop penalty was 25% untill killers started dribbling DS users to hooks. The Devs up the penalty to 33%, stating it was due to a bug where Killers could drop survivors more than they should. 🤔 Soon™ after DS was changed to prompt during pickup animation, the penalty was reverted to 25% with no explanation. 🤨

Other than it being 25 percent instead of 20 percent, this is exactly how it works. Drop them too late in the wiggle, they get off your shoulder instead of just getting dropped.

good to know. I assumed it was 25 but thought that it was a possibility that it was under because you do get to wiggle a little bit before they can drop you again.

A really interesting question is how long do they have to be on the ground for their wiggle meter to be reset?

I didn't think it ever got reset.

As soon as you're dropped it starts regressing, I don't know the numbers, not sure if anyone does.
