Why is this not filter but Potter in Harry Potter is?
Someone telling me to suicide is not filtered, but when I talk about Harry Potter, I see this "Harry ######". Why not remove filters if they don't work?

Emphasis on "perfectly", because the filters do work, just not perfectly, like literally everything else ever made.

On the other hand, a filter that mostly censors things it should, but then also censors some things it shouldn't and doesn't censor some things it should, definitely works, just not perfectly.

It doesn't. It's trivially bypassed by anyone with even a tiny streak of intelligence. And I really don't know of any reason why swears in M rated games should be filtered, while suggestion to suicide should not. BHVR had a ton of swearing on recent stream where they presented the new killer. Why censor swearing in game while having it in their own promotional video?

Especially considering how many times swearing comes up just in things like perks/add-ons/items/offerings and Ash's dialogue... I'm not sure they should have implemented it unless it was to keep people from bullying each other. Even then it doesn't work because it doesn't seem to do that either.

Yep, agree. It's total failure as a bullying filter. It's more like a kiddy filter in M rated game. Not sure what the point of that is.

And then people get reported for bypassing the filter. Either they get banned, or the filter gets improved.

Edit: people don't get banned for straight up bullying. I even created once a customer support ticket with screenshot of chat. I was told to upload a video or take a hike. Video of what, text chat? LOL

Why Google, Apple, Amazon, etc... have AI voice assistants that can parse and reply to sentences... BHVR still lives in the 90th with their basic regex parser that is barely working. I'd be surprised if an intern spent even a day writing it.
