Crouch and flashlight spamming: Why?

So this question is specifically adressed to people who are waiting at an exit gate spamming the crouch animation and flashlight at the killer apparently to taunt them or something.

Why are you doing this? Does it make you feel good in some way and if yes why?

I'm genuinely curious because from my perspective (and it's a subjective one) when I see my opponent or teammates doing this... well you just look like you're relieving your stress from a very pathetic life trying to make someone else feel bad or frustrated because somehow you managed to escape (and most of the time the worst survivors who got carried are the one doing it the most).

I really feel pity for anybody doing it. Really I feel bad for you to see you need to do this. So now I would like to have your insight: Why are you doing this?

They're just doing their native dance to symbolise the end of the trial. Spin around and enjoy the fun lol.

    Because survivors are ######### people.

You are confusing, they just do the exit dance, it's a simple ritual that you have to do before leaving.

It's the same reason why my teammates worked with the killer to get me one hooked last friday:

To irritate the ######### out of people.

Survivors have an innate chaotic energy that possesses them during the trial. Try to get them to stand still for more than a minute. They will begin to spin, nod or emote. It is not in their nature.

If you are seeing the ritual you are playing killer wrong...

Mmmh what do you mean? When they seem to be at exit gate I shouldn't go at exit gate to push them out? What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should afk in a corner of the map instead? I mean other than wasting time I don't see the point. Better grab a few blood points on them and end the game quicker, no?

Nah that is what they want...what you do is go inside the shack or building and see if the are brave enough to follow you and then try to down them 😂

Or you can go get destruction points breaking stuff...lay traps with hag and trapper for points, frenzy with legion, phase with spirit, etc.

Victor has helped me get a few end game kills thanks to those big brained plays. Don't discourage it!!! Also, when you 4k as killer make sure to pick up the last survivor and drop them a few times on the way to hook if it's close. That's the killer dance.

I mostly play Myers or Wraith so... yeah hitting a survivor is the best way to get a few points.

It's funny cus I had a conversation with some friends about this the other day. I told them if it was me, I'd put a mechanic in the game that makes it so that if they're downed at the gate that they can't crawl out. To me if you're a survivor and your mission is to escape alive, you sitting there at the exit and taunting the killer kinda goes against what you're supposed to do. So why punish the killer by robbing them of a kill for someone being cocky and not completing their objective right? I mean I dunno, like I said if I was in charge for a day I'd totally do something like that, but then again I admit that on a good day I can be pretty spiteful person, so maybe that's a good thing that I stay away from any sort of decision making roles lolol.

Funny how nobody went there saying "Oh yes I'm doing it because [Reason]". It's like they know they're doing sh*t and they're afraid to admit it. I find it funny.

Anyway thank you for your replies everybody.

Hopefully as I'm a rank one I won't be matched with the new Rank 20s.

But even then, it's a rare occourence that I go out of my way to "bully" someone. Using flashlights and sabo is all I did though.

Why? To savour feeling of victory before their next match which will be vs god nurse or basement bubba hopefully

I've gotten a handful of kills with Victor like this, but even better is when you have Deathslinger + NOED and you just drag them out of the exit and down them.

Add Bloodwarden on that and if they're stupid enough it becomes hilarious on so many levels.
