Which side do you think is the most entitled?
Comments

Just to say that I'm totally agree with you. =)

As someone who has had 2-3 year blocks maining each side and keeps swapping between them, I feel like I'm less susceptible to being biased in my decisions.
As such, the players that tend to be the most entitled are:
Whichever side I'm not on at the moment.

Whether there actually is a definitive answer or not, is this a healthy question to ask?
My thoughts are that a discussion surrounding such a question might only manifest further division amongst the community.

Neither, because choosing a side doesn't make them entitled; being an entitled brat makes them entitled. A role does not define the likelihood of the individual, but the individual chooses roles based upon what they individually want out of the game.

Survivor

At this point, the most entitled side is the eSport-wannabe-sweatfest-ers. In other words, the anti-fun group. Loud. Whiny. Obnoxious.
Casual players that just want to have a good time? They have no seat at the table.

It's funny, the only complaints I've gotten from killers about how I "should" play has been here on the forum. In-game I have never gotten anything negative from a killer. Nothing. Nada. Not one comment that could be construed as even the slightest bit rude in any way. On the contrary, my nicest post-match conversations have been with killers.
Survivors? In-game? Pissing and moaning.

This is actually a very fair point. I had a great day of playing today, I think I'm going to make a nice thread about it.

Coming from a survivor main, I genuinely think killers are more entitled. They've mostly gotten nothing but buffs the past few years and the meta has changed for them multiple times but survivors have gotten mostly nerfs and the meta is still iron will, BT, unbreakable, and DH, oops but not DS anymore cuz they nerfed it.
Every killer in the game also has well over a 50% kill rate while Freddy has 75% in the average red rank game and then still complains when they've been outplayed. Solo survivor really gets the short end of the stick.

Yeah the only time a killer has complained to me was if I was playing a stealthy build which is silly because even though I don't do it often it's still a legit playstyle, or I've had the occasional accusation thrown at me that I'm in a SWF even though I only play solo.
Survivors though whenever they complain it's usually when they've made the most silly plays like trying to get hit when they have BT and then calling you a tunneller because you waited it out and downed them lol.

Yeah my time in the game is relatively low, perhaps incredibly so compared to some (about 400 hours) but I think it's interesting that across 400 hours and hundreds upon hundreds of matches, I never had a killer say one negative thing to me ever. Meanwhile I've had probably a dozen survivors make sure I knew that they didn't approve of something I did, or didn't do. Or the killer, or the match, or almost anything.

Yeah it's kind of crazy that some survivors seem entitled enough to tell you how you should be playing as killer or survivor. You bought the game so play how you like they're usually just mad because they lost that match so they need someone to blame other than themselves.

The Entity side.
Piece of crap always steals our kills on the meathooks.

Killers by a ridiculous amount, but it's very clear that it's people who only ever play killer.

I've had so many killers complain that they were genrushed when after 5 minutes, only one gen had been done. And so often do they whine about the fact we try to survive.

It's weird, the complaints I got from survivors happened even if we WON.
The first post-match feedback I ever got, when I was like a week new to the game, was when I was sent to Lery's hospital for maybe the second or third time. The opponent was Demo. I didn't know the map and, I guess, did stay a bit more on the periphery than I should have. But I tried to contribute, I tried really hard to find gens while Demo was skilled enough to get one player to ragequit almost immediately, bringing us to a huge disadvantage right from the start. Meanwhile I'm trying to learn the layout, find the gens, avoid the killer, and a much more experienced player is doing the gens before I can find them. So the match ends (we lost), the KILLER says good game and even apologizes for our disconnect, but all the other remaining survivor has to say is "wow, what a ######### team. One DC and oh hey Mike thanks for just hiding all match while I did all the gens. Useless".
Then, on some other day in some other match, we win, but that's still not enough. "Hey Meg, good job not contributing to the match at all", despite the fact that our point totals were like a thousand apart.
You ARE correct about this. I find complaints about "genrushing" equivalent to complaints about the killer hitting a person again right after they've just been unhooked. I mean that's what they're supposed to do, isn't it?
What does "genrushing" even mean? It sounds like a catch-all buzzword that simply means "the survivors are effective and I don't like that". I mean I prefer to explore and check out the layout for a short time myself but what are survivors supposed to do, wait an arbitrary amount of time just standing there until the killer feels that they've had an adequate chance to get a few hooks in?

Both sides are entitled.

Definetly survivors, I play bot sides and as Killer the only thing that I ask is not to get TeaBagged. But if a survivors hide badly shortly after they got unhooked they get mad and accuse you of tunneling or expect you not to use noed and insulte you if you do. I played a game earlier today where a survivor snitched another one in a locker and got mad when I gave the survivor that got snitched the hatch.

I've been playing for a long time and I get matched with players who I can tell are pretty new and I just try my best to help them as much as I can. I can't resist trying to protect a baby Meg or dweet especially lol.
Sadly some people just take this game way to seriously and talk crap about newer players who are learning the game but they forget that we were all new once. I can still remember playing as a blendette years ago hiding in the corners to self care and thinking empathy was the best perk in the game. 😂

I think we could base our answer on the number of Spirit threads.

I think, most often, killers complain for BHVR to change things and survivors complain for killers to change their own play.

Yeah it's pretty much a catch-all term used to reference the original form of BNP's that I, and in fact, the majority of the player base, wasn't even around to bear witness to. Except now it's used out of context to complain about survivors trying to survive, just as some killers get mad at people being good loopers and them not going off to find the inevitable weak link/s.
Don't get me wrong, there are games that feel unwinnable because survivors are seemingly being incredibly efficient and splitting up on the gens. But it's always because it's a huge map and they all spawned apart, which is something the devs in the past claimed shouldn't happen at base. But the fact is, that games where I see this complaint about 'gen rushing' or 'SWFs' are always games where the survivors spawned together but did gens incredibly slowly. (Look at the latest Tru3 debacle with ScottJund where he literally points out that as Nurse he only got 6 hooks in a 12 minute match before the generators were completed...that's not genrushing or because of SWFs but he complained about both lmao)
That actually leads onto a minor change that I want: both of the shroud add-ons that change spawns of survivors (other than the 'opposite end of the map to killer' one) should be available to both sides. That killers can shoot themselves in the foot when they're brand new to the game by forcing survivors to spawn separately around the map is ridiculous.

I play both sides and in my experience, definitely survivor.

Both, killers in these forums and survivors in the game.
Killers don't think that making the game fun for everybody is worth it. They defend tunneling and camping because it's a good tactics for them and don't care if it ruins other players' game.
Survivors are entitled in the game. They complain about NOED all the time, and complain about camping WHEN THE GATES ARE OPEN, when it's not like the killer wants to ruin someone's game early but when he has absolutely nothing else to do. it's also common to hear "don't play this and that killer"
