Is camping hatch bad?
If you're playing killer, and camping the hatch against the last person alive. Does that count as holding the game hostage? You're forcing them to do Gen's revealing their position or they give up and try to get hatch. But since the game can technically still end if they were to do Gen's, does that count as holding the game hostage?

No, it does not.

It doesn't count as holding the game hostage but unless you're running No Way Out it's a waste of time because stomping the hatch will activate the exit gates anyway. Even with NWO it's still pointless.

No because you’re letting the survivor do generators without interference.

Survivor can just 99 the remaining generators, do them at once and sneak to an exit gate. This is basically the same scenario as closing the hatch instantly but with a lot of time wasted for the killer.

I'm main survivor and... No, it's not taking the game hostage in my opinion. =)

They can do gens, and if they're smart they'll 99 as many gens as they need (or all of the remaining gens if they want to). Pop one, hide in case the killer comes to check, sneak to another one and pop that one.
It's what I do in the pretty rare situation where the killer doesn't just close the hatch. It's rare, but when it happens it's like a 50% chance the killer turns around to call me a tryhard or something for doing so even though it's just the smart thing to do. But no, not taking the game hostage.

No it isn't considered holding the game hostage. You can still finish the match.
This video shows an example of a killer holding the game hostage. With the killer blocking them the survivors are unable to complete the objectives and finish the match.
