Does anything make you cringe more...

Than survivors who switch at the last second?

5 seconds to go and they pull out the legacy skin, purple flashlight, and of course when you get in the game they have Decisive Strike.

Am I meant to be intimidated or something? Or impressed? I just cringe.

Even sadder when its a high rank trying to get in to games with smurf accounts. This game is just full of toxic bullies who set out to ruin the game for everyone else.

Feels good when you put them down.

I always laugh since I know they're going to do it and it just make sit that much more satisfying when you destroy them. I don't tunnel them per se but I also make sure if i'm in a chase with them they're dropping onto my hook.

You mean the toxic crybabies who disconnect when they're downed? I give a total crap about those guys.

i use the secret techniques of the tunnel and campers, to overcome this great challenge.

usually these guys think they are waaaay better than they actually are, so it is easy to lure them out and usually to outplay them too.
and as long as no one in their team has BT, they will die.

I wouldn't say they make me cringe, they make me angry because some time the killer decide to dc and I end up loosing an offering and time because of those #########

I mean you could just Alt-F4 out during the offering/load screen if it bothered you. A survivor's still a survivor, they all run the same direction, loop the same way, die the same way regardless of their equipment/skin.

  • powerbats
    powerbats Member Posts: 7,068

As a survivor when someone does it I won't go out of my way to rescue them since it just puts me at a disadvantage since they've gotten the killers interest. If it's safe to get them sure but if the killer is camping them and i don't have BT you're screwed.

I've seen this once when my brother was playing lol. Smh 3 red ranks queuing up with a rank 18. I took over and 4kd then messaged them lol.

Usually when I see four survivors join my lobby at rank 1 without any prestige (hiding their stuff). I'll assume they are gonna switch at the last second so I'll play try hard Nurse with... ofc a mori and omgablinks.

Easiest way to stop last-second-switching is to force Survivors to have to put in their entire perk, offering, and item builds when they switch to a different Survivor.
So you can't go from a default Kate to a P3 Claudette with a Utility Flashlight and Macmillan's Phalanx Bone offering, using the SB DS SC BT meta.

@KingB That's the thing, a lot of them try to queue to get with low rank killers. It's an attempt at bullying and it's really pathetic.

@powerbats I hate it as a survivor because I know I'm gonna be sat trying to rush gens all game because these clowns are only going to be running around with a flashlight looking for attention.

Theres also the fact that they go down in about 10 seconds most of the time. If you're going to be toxic at least try to be good at it lol I'm always content to leave them on the hook if I get the exit gates open. Then they get salty at me.

    Oh look it happened again.

Switch to P3 claudette with decisive and a flashlight at the last second, and burn a coldwind locket too.

Utter ######### garbage game. With the most cancerous community ive ever seen.

I know peole say punish them, but they take sprintburst and then manage to make it around the 50 pallets on the map. Cant really afford to take decisive because it grants them another few loops. Before people say bring enduring, nope becauze of how the #########  game works i cant have enduring unless I put millions on millions of points into whatever character I chose.

So its basically throw the game to punisb this person or let them get away with it. I was running no add ons because i wanted to try a different killer and have ######### perks with this killer.

Again, when they have no fear of the killer because of the stupid mechanics if the game i guess....pretty good job so far.

    Same.

They can waste a fair amount of time though with DS. Plus they'll burn offerings for their best maps and get their mates to bring instaheals.

It's really sad. I know survivors complain about nerfs but they can't have it that hard when so many have no fear of the killer.

They complain about nerfs because they fear that soon they have to fear the killer.

Yes its sad, but I dont understand why these type of player purchases a horror game in the first place.

Would be a shame if the game crashes or if there was some IRL thing needing your attention.
Those flashlight guys need your attention, they want to know that there is a human they can bully. If you simply go afk, they DC most of the time, but sometimes there are some rare individuals that dont get bored tbagging and flashing and afk killer for ages :sarcastic:

More cringe when they get Fedora dwight out. I think it was dwight.

I kinda cringe when I see people trying a little too hard. Not playing more ruthlessly, but obvious bait tactics. I'm chasing a meg, and she stops to heal herself briefly.
It's the last hook and the gates are open, or I'm doing a 3 gen strat and there's obvious "chase me!" people trying to bait me away.

I normally get them and go toxic on them. But in this case I couldnt be bothered throwing the game to camp them.

They sprint burst to a pallet, found loads more so I had to cut chase.

Downed them later in killer shack. They hit decisive. I did that trick where you drop them on the stairs but it doesnt work without enduring. This is what DS apologists dont understand. They still mafe it out and onto cowtree and since I was using LF and dont have bamboozle or enduring I had to let them go.

So they got out. Could have got them but would have lost the rest.

Really hate the perk grind. Half of the killers are useless without chase perks.

It's a scummy thing to do yes, it was born out of a problem killers actually created though, you never used to see this before they started dodging lobbies when certain items or clothing were used.

The solution could be to time out either side for leaving a lobby which increases the more you do it, you can then make survivors have to lock in early so killers can setup before the match starts.

They should also have a rule that if the ping was over a set amount you don't get timed out as imo that is the legit reason someone should leave, real life doesn't matter as the timeout should be over with by the time you get back.

And Killers started dodging lobbies because Survivors wearing those clothes were abusing everything under the sun. Remember the insta-blind bug? Flashlight usage spiked during that time, for whatever strange reason.

What's up with that smurf thing? I was at a friend's house trying to teach them how to play Killer and there was a 4 man SWF group playing as Claudette. One of em were purple rank and the rest were rank 18-19. They literally bullied my friend so bad he didn't even consider keeping the game downloaded. People really do the most just to look good against new players it makes me sick. Now I see why new players never stick around.

When things are broken it's understandable anyone abusing them are the worst type of player, the thing is when they get fixed and it still happens all the time then that argument becomes void.

Exactly. I got it too on my third game.

Funny enough I stayed low rankish this month so i could play with my garbage killers like pig, LF and myers etc....well myers aint garbage but none of them have any good perks. Just your basic level 1 junk perks.

I've seen a number of these groups come in. Last second switching to flashlights and decisive. Instaheals, coldwind offerings, one or two of them are always really high rank and they run clicking their flashlights. I camp them out Leatherface style and they cry so much salt.

They want to play toxic and bully other people but don like it when they get bullied in return.

I don't know if i was here fr that or not but I never abuse any mechanic like that and I was here for the Tinkerer II exploit and didn't use it either. But good grief the amount of Billy's, Bubba's etc abusing it skyrocketed through the roof.

I often switch at the last second because... I was doing something on another character and didn't want to actually play that one, just doing bloodweb or whatever...

But mostly wanted to post this image. "RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!!!"
