SoloQ Survivor gameplay is a pain and should be buffed.
I'm a solo player and I play both killer and survivor equally, and I have to say, playing as a solo survivor is the biggest pain there is in DbD right now.
It's not even about getting a bad team or getting screwed by your teammates, that sometimes happens in every team game, it's having absolutely no communication with your team whatsoever, to the point where although you are supposed to be a team, everyone makes decisions on their own, and for their own good. I mean, there's literally no method of communication whatsoever, except the two pointing and waving gestures, that are completely useless and 99% of the times are just used for BMing the killer.
What all that results in, is a HUGE discrepancy between SWF and solo survivors matched together, to the point where it influences the outcome of the match way more than it should. This discrepancy is felt not only when playing solo survivor vs playing survivor with a team on coms, but also when playing killer. Like I could FEEL the huge difference when I'm playing versus SWF's as opposed to playing against 4 random suvivors... the latter have no idea what's going on the majority of the time, no coordination whatsoever, and very frequently are screwing each other more than they are helping.
And all of that comes to one thing - no methods of communication. When playing on coms, you basically have an idea of where the killer is and what the killer is doing almost the entire time. You also have an exact idea what your teammates are doing at all times as well. This information is HUGE, it's stronger than every perk, item or mechanic in the game. And it's not an advantage that comes from the game design itself, it's an advantage you get purely because you're playing with friends. That's it. And it comes without surprise the fact that 80% of red rank survivors are indeed, SWF players.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe players should be rewarded or punished for reasons outside of their gameplay, skills or control. And that is exactly what's happening right now with solo survivors.
What should be done? Add hotkeys with additional methods of communication with your team. Add a hotkey that tells your team you're being chased by the killer, so your teammates can focus on objectives. Add a hotkey indicating that you're going for the unhook, so two survivors don't leave their gens and go for the same unhook due to lack of communication. Add a hotkey telling your teammates that the killer is near the hook, so Kindred does not become and unofficial "must have" perk when playing solo quo.
Basically give solo survivors the same things SWF's have, or at least a portion of it. Just... something.
And for all the killer mains who hate this idea, thinking that giving solo survivors communication is going to be the end of killers... like... no. All of those things are already happening when playing against SWF,100% of the times. And in red ranks, you're mostly matched with SWF's anyway, so you should know how to play around that by now.
The only thing giving solo survivors more communication will do, is to make the game more enjoyable and fair for people who want to play survivor, but don't have friends to play with, or who have social anxiety and are not down to make a Discord team. If one can have it, the other should as well. And let's be real, there is no way to nerf SWF's, you can't tell people not to be on coms when playing DbD, so whether you like it or not, they will exist. BHVR can however, make the game more enjoyable for solo players, so solo player does not become synonymous with killer.

If they Buff SoloQ, they are buffing SWF, so no thanks, they are enough overpowered.

Be honest, did you read my post at all? Giving com mechanics to SoloQ's is not going to buff SWF's, they already have they, they won't even use the hotkeys as they communicate anyway.

This has been a common complain since ever, people have suggested that we get some features that other games have, like identity V has predetermined messages like: ''The killer is nearby'' to know if the killer is camping, ''Focus on decoding'' to know that you are looping the killer and the others should be doing generators, but for some reason behavior just doesn't want to do it, I guess they know their killer population would go on strike if they give survivors the tiniest buff to their gameplay, their only argument is that they will buff SWF but SWF are usually on comms so adding some minor fixes like predetermined messages wont buff SWF only Solo play in my opinion.
