Does Spirit or Hag take more skill?

Yeah I think Hag. With Spirit at the end of the day it comes done to how well you can hear. Hag you gotta keep you area intact. Recognize wether the survivor is in your lunge range. And learn area movements since you can't just trap loops then survivors will just go around since she is too slow to catch-up. And as well mindgame if to tp or not if the phantasm is still up. And how to corral them to your traps. And good reactions since just spamming a button will backfire. And how to deal with flashlights and SWFs. But what do you think?

I think Hag is significantly easier to play that most people say, but like you said, Spirit is just 'Are your headphones good', and do you know what actions are being performed by survivors based on their sounds. Hag still requires map knowledge and a pretty deep understanding on how survivors play.

This is such an unpopular opinion but I vote Spirit. Hag doesn’t really take skill she takes more knowledge and I think of a player understands where survivors go, has good game sense, and knows how to set up a 3-gen, Hag can become inevitably easy.

Hag is more about map knowledge, Spirit relies more on predictions and mind games for the most part, she is way harder to master than insta teleporting from 40m away and getting free hits all around the map.

Hag, but it doesn't mean you can't play hag in a way that takes less skill, since hag is much better at camping you can easily camp someone out of the game which arguably levels out with chasing and hooking the survivor 2-3 times as spirit, so yea a hag that plays scummy for the win I would say is the same amount of skill as spirit playing fairly, but if they both play fair and get the same results the hag had to play more skillfully

I think that the Hag is definitely easier. All the challenges in learning how to play her are purely technical, like knowing where are the best trap spots, how her playstyle works and how to react to certain teams. On a mechanical level, she is just as easy as smashing Ctrl and reacting fast with a hit.

Spirit on the other hand is the second hardest killer in the game as she requires game knowledge and mechanical skill to play. As a Spirit, you have to know all the usual spots which survivors normally run to so you know where to go once you are phasing. Also, you need to constantly keep making mind games, right reads and precise hearing,, which is definitely not easy.

Ah yes the fair counterplay where all she needs to do is standstill.

For real, I understand if you play her and want to defend her, but don't pretend she has reasonable counterplay lol The Survivor should see what she sees when she's about to use her power. That thing she does with her arms.

Maybe I'm being unfair here but I honestly think people massively overrate how hard Hag actually is. Sure, if you try to play like any other killer and chase Survivors then she sucks and becomes very difficult to play. However, if you forget about chases and just worry about defending your web of traps, most games become trivially easy. Especially if you bind teleport to scroll wheel, lol. Spirit is relatively easy too, especially when you use stridor. However, there's more mechanical skill involved (Not to mention that Hag also has a sort of stand still mind game if a Survivor triggers a trap at a pallet). Overall, trying to decide which is easier is like comparing Apples to oranges but I guess I'll go with Spirit.

Stridor Spirit is the best out there.

I dont know how I feel about this poll. I used to main spirit, and now I main hag. And tbh they both have completely different gameplay that I don't think that they can even be compared. Spirit is a chaser, hag you don't chase at all,you push survivors into the direction of your Web. Spirit you focus on 1 survivor at a time to get your downs. Hag you're all over teleporting hitting everyone and applying pressure round the map all while keeping your web of traps ready and in good unsuspecting places. Spirit you have to know the loop structures and make the right predictions, whilst being blind and using only your ears and environment queues, hag you have to know your map layout and where survivors are more likely to run, and in turn place your traps in such a way to get a strong "cam swing" which makes your insta teleport hit virtually impossible to dodge as the pull to the trap denies the window or pallet drop, guaranteeing hits. Not to mention the reflex of the teleport. I think they both require skill, but both have very different play styles. I turned to hag because I find her alot more chill to play. I just go about my day setting up my traps. I find my spirit games more stressful and annoying tbh
