Are Survivors getting too overconfident with themselves?

I was playing killer for a while and i kept seeing Survivors who, instead of doing gens, just run in circles and t-bag before the match even starts. They continuously loop in the same places and body block even if they aren't SWF.

It feels like they take more joy in mocking the killer than seeking terror by avoiding the killer. Why do you think that is? Is it because Survivor side is too easy? Are they trying to show off? Because usually a toxic survivor groups has clothes that stand out and use lights or keys

It just feels like more and more Survivors are not respecting the killer and its hard not to take personally some times. I mean, i sometimes think 'do they do this with everyone or just me?'

I just think survivors are getting too overconfident, like they think they'll win every time no matter who they're with or what happens. Also, i'm pretty sure they can see through the walls, they manage to know where i'm going even of they can't see me.

What are your thoughts?

They can't see you, you just have a terror radius

Also think the horror ambience of the game is definitely lacking lately

What do you mean you faced me?

I don't tunnel or camp unless i'm forced too, like if the survivors are gen rushing and i haven't made any progress

If a survivor is decent looper it's pretty much obvious they will ask for chase let's be real doing gens is boring and as long as others do them while ur getting chased it works perfectly but I agree about tbag etc that's unnecessary maybe just a try to bring attention on them

Well yeah their already cocky and thats not going to change unless killer gets to be a threat. Most the killers aren't scary. Survivors normally know where the killer is since there is a TR. Games just not scary simple as that.

On PS4, once you get a killer you have 1 min to looks in the parameters, to see the "playing now" menu and look at the 4 people matched with you. This way I used to dodge some killers way before crossplay of course

Idk, but I can get them to be overconfident by sucking at the start of the match.

Iconic, how many do you have? Can you count them all with both hands ( both front & back).

Survivors need to respect the killer as much as killers need to respect survivors. Survivors who got sick and tired of being tunneled out started using builds that make them really annoying to catch. Since survivors WANT each other to win, they will body block and tank hits in order to keep their teammate alive.

It's actually best to hit anyone close to you as 1, now they need to heal and can't bother you, or work on gens giving you a massive head start in chase as they are injured. Because if they body block a survivor and you don't have 120%+ movementspeed, you won't be able to run around them. So any second spend not hitting them is a waste of time.

Bodyblocking is the survivors best mechanic against tunnelers. Blame tunnelers for survivors using those mechanics against non-tunnelers. Remember, survivors don't know your intentions at all. You could be another filthy tunneler, in which case it's better to be safe than sorry. Survivors losing 1 teammate early on means survivors lose the ability to finish gens.

I don't know why people get so upset when survivors aren't "afraid". This game has no potential of actual physical harm. Of course survivors aren't going to be terrified.

Yet at the same time killer only users dislike stealthy players.

Well yeah, that's what happens when any game gets more "solved" over time. Lives turn into resources, people know what they can get away with.

The Spy in TF2 is supposed to sneak around and backstab people and die if he's found out, doesn't mean it's surprising to see spies dance around in people's faces trying to stab them like some kinda bullfighting matador. I'm sure sniper rifles in FPS games were never "supposed" to be used as what is basically melee weapons, yet quickscoping became an entire subcommunity in stuff like Call of Duty.

I've had that happen too. I'm not sure if they're just looking to farm and me being the buzzkill puts an end to that once I start the stabbin or if it's just dummies doing dummy things but it is always a little strange to run into.

The reason why they’re mocking you without fearing you even though you’re a killer is because it’s a video game and they know that no matter what happens, their life and your life will end up exactly the same as it was before the match.

The game can only be scary for so long, after around 100 hours you’ve seen everything.

"Is it because Survivor side is too easy? Are they trying to show off?"

Both, among other things like survivor being boring a lot of the time, so they try to find ways to entertain themselves, usually at the expense of the killer. Holding M1 and run in circles to win gets pretty boring after all. A new objective or something to add to their gameplay should really be added. Its not like the killers who all have different powers and such to spice things up.

Its influenced by certain content creators and of course people want to especially show off in front of their friends as well. The survivor culture is just very cocky and toxic unfortunately.

I don't get it personally, I can't really have fun being a jerk just for the sake of it.
