It still makes me sad that we won't get a Nemesis feeling Nemesis killer
As much as I think he's fun he still simply is not Nemesis and I probably won't stop until something is done about it which I doubt something ever will because I'm just 1 person. Resident Evil means a lot to me. Its the game franchise that I talk most about. I play it the most. Nemesis means a lot to me. I have been playing with these characters for years. This is the biggest horror game franchise ever made. Why can't we get Nemesis to feel like Nemesis? Is it because he would be OP? Nope. Is it because it wouldn't fit? Nope. I keep getting told DBD isn't RE but the problem is the things that make Nemesis feel like Nemesis are things that DBD has done over and over. We've had running ability killers. We've had very lethal power burst killers. Why isn't Nemesis one of those? He just feels like a generic DBD killer when he could be that AND feel like Nemesis. I feel like I'm playing a slightly better Mr. X who is basically a severely weaker version of Nemesis in a way. What is this? Its sad at how poorly one of my favorite videos game villains has been demolished this and last year and this is by far the worst version of him. He feels more like Nemesis in even RE Verse. I will probably end up playing that game more than DBD because of how poorly he was executed. You guys said you don't wanna transform killers into something they are not. Where did that go? Nemesis is supposed to be lethal, fast, and very destructive. In DBD he's not any of that. The zombies sure as hell are lethal though. The best part of him in the game has NOTHING to do with Nemesis. And why does he just feel like diet Pyramid Head with his tentacle? It was a horrible job and I hope the devs can give a better feel of what it is to face or become THE Nemesis. Not A Nemesis. I'm probably just gonna end up playing REsistance over this game like I have already been doing. How was everything except the map and Nemesis on this chapter good? Lets talk about the map for a second. Everything is great EXCEPT for those weird mutation bubble things. WHAT ARE THOSE!? Why are they there? They ruin the beautiful look for me sometimes. Its random. People tell me its the entities stuff but it just looks like some sort of RE mutation but my biggest question is WHY THIS MAP ONLY!? Why is the RE map corrupted like this? Every other map doesn't have anything like this at all. It just falls flat and is really random and takes a lot away from a huge RE fan such as myself. Idk what can be done anymore but at least give Nemesis his running ability please. You have a standard speed walking animation already in the game. I would talk about Nemesis' skin color and shape of his face because that was messed up as well but just give me his running at the bare minimum.

I don't know how you could make Nemesis feel like Nemesis unless he was super OP. That's kind of why he was scary in the games, because he could punch through brick walls and pull rocket launchers out on you at any moment. To make any killer balanced and fun to play against in dbd you have to downscale them a little bit. How could somebody like Trapper, a dude who has bear traps even compete with the canonical Nemesis, it just wouldn't work at all. I understand your frustration but sometimes you have to downscale stuff if you want a balanced PvP video game.

What you're asking for is for the Devs to make a ridiculously overpowered killer.
It's the same problem I have with Xenomorphs, everyone keeps talking about how cool it would be to add one but it's just going to be ######### lame. Oh, look, it's the fast, agile, terrifying insect-monster that moves very slowly, can't climb things and randomly put people on hooks.

Resident Evil 3 is the tentacle game. Nemesis has tentacles. We have Dead Hard to mimic the juke mechanic in RE3. All we really need now is a rail gun and a rocket launcher.

Could you compact your post a bit? You are throwing out repeating remarks that don't really.say anything.
Make it a bit more constructive
5 -
You can make him feel like Nemesis without being OP. He'd be strong but not OP depending on the numbers they choose.
1 -
Holy wall of text. Enter key is your friend.

Yes I don't see the issue with the killer that runs insanely quick, whips you with a tentacle, punches you several times in quick sucession, punches through bricks like they're made of polystyrene, has a flamethrower, rocket launcher, and mutates into several horrible monstrosities that can only be beaten finally with a rail gun so powerful that it cracked the floor.
I see no issues whatsoever.
3 -
Obviously he wouldn't have the mutations or weapons. Everything else would be perfectly fine for DBD and would still feel like Nemesis.
0 -
Yeah bevause it's completely believable that something cabale of breaking bricks like paper would be stunned by a wooden pallet.
1 -
What about changing the map there a bit.. Like swapping pallets with someone that could realisticly stop him for a short time.
2 -
The problem lies with the Nemesis not being the original version,of himself. If it we're Nemesis from 1999 the character would be able to break into small sprints and punch
Personally they should have waited with this chapter, if Capcom didn't want to give them the original they could have declined, but with the 25th anniversary, they probably we're in a time crunch
Capcom really screwed us over and alot of fan's but the introduction of the remake Nemesis, and never released a statement as to why the design had changed.Given the recent flak the recieving, I would guess the design was from someone else and that can't use it ,but I don't understand why the moveset changed also they could have kept that at least the same, but all of this literally will still fall back on Capcom, because you know Bhvr wanted OG Nemesis, I said I would buy the chapter but I don't think, I will because I am also a Resident Evil fan and this isn't what Resident Evil chapter should be, with the survivor perks being a middle finger to all killer mains there's nothing in this chapter, I want.
Overall Bhvr could have done better with Nemesis given how short his legs look he looks terrible
And it doesn't make sense to buy a Chapter for something that I can't even play, because of all the latency issues.

Feels like Nemesis to me.
What's the problem? Nemesis was always scarier when you were fighting him 1 to 1 in a closed area, not when he was stumbling around with a stupidly large rocket launcher.
I agree on the remake design being trash. Hope we get a legendary for old Nem or something.
2 -
When you fought the 1999 Nemesis, dude was a bullet sponge withstanding massive amounts of damage even with a grenade launcher in hand, the new Nemesis goes down with one grenade but, I'm guessing that's just a normal difficulty thing .
He does not feel like Nemesis I haven't played the ptb, but from the videos, I've seen it's pretty sad to watch he doesn't feel invincible pallets shouldn't be a thing to him and when he kicks a generator survivors shouldn't be able to work on them for a few seconds, maybe like 20 secs ,he should be able to just punch out breakable walls.I don't care about him having the rocket launcher that's not a big deal
If they we're to add it it should spawn or drop in next to you ,when all generator's are done.
It's just himself is the problem after getting an original Silent Hill chapter, do you think fans want a remake Re3 chapter ,no but Bhvr wanted to do this for there community and ,I get it but like ,I said they should have held out to get and actual Re Nemesis chapter.
I cannot make this anymore clearer because it would just be rinse and repeat, but we wanted The Purser not a Nemesis
1 -
Same here but I don't ask for anything real nemesis just can't be part of dbd u gotta aceept that because he's damn beast in resident evil games and that would be broken as hell no he can't rocket launcher survs from across the country so yeah he still got his basic power if anything I think we will get used to it
0 -
I played a bunch of the PTB and felt powerful playing him. The sound effect of his huge boots stomping and injuring survivors with just a punch felt great, breaking a gen with one big kick is another example or breaking a wall with one slow punch.
And that's not really true about him being that strong.
You could beat him at the front of the RPD in RE3 just dodging his punches and blasting him with a pistol or shotgun. In the remake you can down him with just a pistol. And Jill could usually tank a pretty large amount of hits from him too.
They aren't going to just make Nemesis immune to all stuns or something. He already practically invalidates pallets with his power anyway.
0 -
I know they wasn't going to make him incredibly strong, just look at the hate Spirit gets, it's still a little disappointing
I get that how one punching breakables equates to how strong Nemesis is but, I still can't buy the chapter when I can't even play the game. Its been this way for year's one day I'm having stable internet or somebody cheats and lag spikes you but this week has just been abominable, I've literally de-rank because people are lag switching and I know it's them doing it because they get all gens done and escape ,so it isn't my internet it's literally people cheating, I guess im going on another vacation
1 -
Yeah I'm a little disappointed too but I'm okay with Nemesis as is. Granted I feel the most fun way to play Nemesis is in Resistance admittedly. I like the idea of Nemesis actually doing what Nemesis was made to do and use weapons. Also the occasional sprint in game is scary. In DBD he's reduced to just using a tentacle appendage.
Really wish there was one time use weapon crates around the map for Nemmy and maybe they could be sabotaged by survivors. Just having that opportunity to use a Rocket Launcher for example or a Flamethrower would be awesome. Even potentially even being able to break out into a sprint like in the games.
Nemesis is definitely underwhelming compared to every counterpart in every other game tbh. However I'm at least glad they chose him and Leon / Jill. Granted I do feel the survivors are the winner of this chapter.

This is Dead By Daylight, not Resident Evil. While it would be nice if they could simply drop characters from other video games into it and have it work, it wouldn’t. Modifications need to be made, particularly with a killer that is ridiculously over the top powerful in its original interpretation.
1 -
Ok, single punch of his now instantly kills survivors. Better ?
Seriously, they obviouslyn needed to downscale him to make him work in DBD. Not that suprising.
1 -
Surprising? Not at all - Admittedly I expected him to be even more toned down than what he is now. Disappointed? Not exactly just his power feels too one dimensional to where he's another killer whose power is basically fake to zone people out or they have to drop the pallet early. I genuinely hate how his power breaks pallets because it just feels like a boring killer who will just hold W in chases now. I just don't like the entire interaction his power has with survivors in chase it's boring after a while. If you get good enough with his power I see zero reason to use his normal m1 for example and I feel that's an issue. Same thing with Demogorgon's new shred addon it just feels like a "Why do this when I can do this?" kind of situation.
So yeah - I wish Nemesis did more than just use a tentacle because the tentacle alone is just going to be boring in chase after a while. It's barely a new interaction at all compared to some killers we have in our roster currently. The main difference is it gradually gets stronger as the game goes on if you're doing well.
1 -
Does this surprise you? I have always believed having Nemesis in DBD wouldn't be the best. Not because they couldn't do something cool or anything fun about him, it was because he was just too much for DBD. This is why I'm hesitant to add Alien or the Wendigos from Until Dawn, they just can't come in and be done justice to who they were. It would've been better for Mr.X or Jack Baker someone who isn't unstoppable but still fearsome. Yeah, they are just in it for the money.
1 -
Spirit gets hate because she gives no feedback and is a one sided coin flip. Nemesis has clear counterplay, I enjoyed playing as him and against him. The only thing I can see people getting annoyed with about Nem is the zombies that are pretty RNG.
Also I have no idea what the reply to my post was about. Sounds like you need to take a break for a week or two. Everyone gets dbd fatigue at some point.
1 -
I like the Remake Nemesis. He still does things that make Nemesis feel like Nemesis to me at least. I don't care which one they choose I just want him to feel like Nemesis and the remake still almost felt 100% like that to me. He needed more time to have that feeling more but from what they were able to accomplish it was good. He's goofy in DBD.
0 -
Obviously I know its DBD. The things that make Nemesis feel like Nemesis have been put into many killers. Such as running and high lethality and good destruction. I'm not saying he should just be able to idk break into a sprint every 5 seconds like he would but he should just have those abilities some way. Not... Zombies? They aren't even at least the Nemesis Alpha parasite zombies. Its just zombies.
0 -
He simply wouldn't be OP. He could have his destruction, speed, and lethality intact without being OP.
0 -
still wondering how in the name of god Jill managed to lift the damn thing let alone fire it without breaking every bone in her body and rupturing every single organ
1 -
I'm feeling the same way. I couldn't play the PTB so I've just had to watch videos for the time being. I'll give Nemesis a try when the chapter releases.
0 -
When a brick wall is a mere plaything but fire is too much, idk what that'd be
0 -
i dont know either.
Just wanted to say that it could work pretty well with future killers. Might be a cool concept.
0 -
Well I, don't like remake Nemesis, but the devs design makes him grow on you.I also stated reasons why we don't have the version you are asking for, he doesn't sprint like he does in the original because of an entirely different moveset, did you not read what I said? I'm only adding to the points you created The Nemesis is the version from the remake that works ,since you like the remake Nemesis you shouldn't even have made this post.Im only stating what I,don't like. Why did you even rile people up if you're going to buy the chapter,my reason are not because, I don't like the chapter there's just things I ,don't like.
Especially the survivor perks, can you imagine being blinded at every generator that's going to be fun
How does being tired of the game have anything to do with the outrageous amount of lagg I've experienced.I had two 28 minute bans because, I was lagged out of the game. How I'm I suppose to enjoy a game that I, invested so much time in only for someone on the other end to flip a switch and cancel it when ever they want to.This isn't about you defending this game, but enough is enough. They need to implement better systems in order to prevent this from happening, I've put so much effort and money and time ,do you not think I,deserve better service .

It's more that your complaints came out of left field and don't really have anything to do with the subject of the thread.
0 -
How ?
0 -
You know what's funny you never answered any of my questions?
0 -
We were talking about Nemesis. And you sort of just threw out all these irrelevant complaints. Just chill dude.
0 -
How is it irrelevant?
0 -
A monster with a rocket launcher who can smash through walls and chaingun down all that stand in their way.
OP?
I think with a few slight tweaks it could be balanced.

I don't know where people keep getting the minigun from. Its not the movies.
0 -
But it could be....
