Again I am asking what's the counter play to iron will
People hate stridor spirit but love iron will.
I find this rather confusing because unless you have a direct los on the surivor
they basically are a slower spirit they could leave the loop while you try a mind game and you would not know.
Simmlar to how you wouldn't know what the spirit is doing
Ok now I've said my piece. yours
The fair argument I've seen.
Eyes
Nurse
Foot steps. but I like to have ears because of chase music
And stridor. but people dont like stridor spirit

What's the counterplay to healthy survivors
17 -
Having sound aka normal breathing
Iron will removes that completely
6 -
Does everything need counter play? There’s tons of stuff in DBD with no counter play.
3 -
Eyes.
22 -
1) Stridor, duh. Just because people hate it doesn't mean you can't use it.
2) Footsteps.
3) You can usually guess where the survivors are just by pure prediction. It's just like playing against healthy survivors except with more blood.
2 -
This comment belongs perfectly in the "nerf spirit" threads as an argument against nerfing spirit lol
7 -
Eyes and game awareness.
Iron will is honestly pretty niche. I've never lost track of a survivor in chase due to it.
2 -
I predict a flood of "Nerf Iron Will" posts are about to flood the forums
2 -
I just want it to be fixed it currently completely removes normal breathing I could care less about bait the reduced amount noise while injured
0 -
What is the counter to brutal strength?
3 -
Well it depends how problematic it is.
What’s the counter play to hoarder? Never pick up an item again?
What’s the counter play to territorial imperative? Never go into the basement again?
What’s the counter to an early tombstone your team fed Myers? Always jump into a locker every single time a Myers pops tier 3 the first time?
The majority of the time there’s no counterplay to any of it because you are not even aware they are running the perk. Especially in solo Q, where you can be easily killed on first hook.
You spawn into a match, go loot basement chest and the killer is territorial imperative Bubba. Game over. No counterplay. But how many people are on here complain about territorial imperative?
11 -
A lot of truth here. I main a couple of killers (admittedly, not spirit as I hate her noises) and I dont find Iron will to be an issue, stop relying on only sound!
Spys from the shadows, bloodhound, shadowborne.
Adapt!

Exactly but then there are posts about how spirit has no counter play so if we are using that logic spirit is fine
btw I dont think she is
1 -
If you have problems with Iron Will, equip Stridor. Easy as that.
3 -
So then people can be mad that I'm playing a good killer using a perk to cover the possibilitie of a perk thhat removes the killers only way of efficently trackin?
0 -
Only way of tracking? Footsteps, grass moving... Like, I play Spirit without Stridor and I am doing fine.
And dont pretend that you care about Survivors complaining.
4 -
No see it's fine that there is no counter play to a perk but the spirits whole power needs counter play
0 -
Stridor is a perk that counter IW, otherwise there is the predictions of mindgames, vision, footsteps, blood( there is the nurse add on but no one cares).
3 -
Fair enough lol
1 -
Depends which Iron Will you are talking about? The perk just use stridor, the bug then nothing you just get fcked.
0 -
Foot steps are the only other way of efficiency tracking but I would like to have hearing
in door maps dont have grass scratch Mark's are inconsistent but its possible
And no I dont care for people's complaints I do care for double standards.
So I suggest either they both get changed
or iron will keeps your normal breathing not your injured pains

Windows

Pray.
We have eyes that cannot see & ears that cannot hear, down to this very day.
Anyway, if that doesn't work then idk.
2 -
Half a perk build to possibly counter 1 perk they may not have
0 -
Both
1 -
Maybe the idea of having so many perks in a game is that you will not get to counter every one of them?
Based on your logic, a survivor shouldnt need Calm Spirit to counter the doctor then
3 -
There are a few ways of tracking survivors while injured with the sounds of pain being only one of them.
Scratch marks
Eyes on target
Blood
Crows if disturbed
Footsteps
2 -
Then I guess you counter iron will with one shot killers and perks. Also, don't hit healthy survivors and don't chase injured survivors.
1 -
If they can find healthy survivors to .. injure them in the first place...then why does iron will matter?
They healing? Nurses calling, add sloppy butcher for more fun
1 -
Not dropping pallets obviously
5 -
Can't break pallets if pallets were not dropped.
That is a big brain move.
1 -
Try hitting the killer with the pallet instead of dropping it in from of them
1 -
Bloodhound
1 -
So then the counter to iron will is not hitting healthy survivors. This game is so easy.
1 -
Brutal strength works on generators too, so don't forgot not to do gens.
1 -
But they dont they can get in lockers if the think he is going to use blast most commonly after a hook
0 -
Stridor counters Iron Will... Iron Will does not counter Stridor.
2 -
I was gonna say it was so tempting to flip that ######### around on them.
1 -
I think many people here missunderstands this thread. Its not about nerfing iron will, its about aksing why most people are fine with iron will but not with stridor.
2 -
I am okay with Stridor, just not when it's used by a Spirit.
0 -
I can assure you as somebody who loves Iron Will it does not make you even close to invincible. As long as the killer can see you, your scratch marks, or your blood, you can be tracked relatively easily. It's basically the same thing as being healthy, you can still go from healthy to injured easily, they don't need to nerf healthy survivors.
0 -
I mean. The only counters to Iron Will are Stridor and Add-Ons like "Metal Spoon" and "Coarse Stone".
The reason why I don't like Stridor is not because of Spirit. It more because it literally removes Iron Will and I don't want to hear my character moan the whole game xd

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying. Are you saying those perks are problematic or not?
I've honestly never seen a killer run hoarder and the only time I've ever seen a killer run territorial was on a baby huntress with one perk slot.
Those are very niche perks that only work well against survivors when they're synergized with other perks, at least in my experience. Otherwise they're kind of a waste of a perk slot. Then they're only effective or fun for 2-3 trials before you end up with a lobby that doesn't play into your build. That's the thing with those perks too, if you use them in a build that synergizes with them it's kind of a one trick pony where the survivors have to play into the strengths of your build or the right conditions have to be met for it to work, and that doesn't happen all the time. At least not frequently enough to make it worth it. I really only run things like that when I get tired of running the same gen regression perks over and over to spice things up but after maybe a couple trials it doesn't work at all and I end up with a 4E so I just switch back to the meta.
Hoarder is fun when paired with franklins on a killer like trapper where you can make the survivor drop an item and then trap it. That kind of synergy is pointless if the lobby isn't bringing any items into the trial though. It's honestly more of a meme build.
The only time I've seen territorial really have an impact was in basement hook scenarios. It allows the killer to leave the basement area to patrol because they will get a notification if anyone attempts to enter the basement to rescue a survivor on basement hook. I can't think of too many perks that synergize with it though, even in that scenario. If you use it in that sort of scenario though it really only gives maybe 3 seconds over the unhook notification so imo a 3 second head start isn't really worth it.
There's definitely survivor perks like that as well but you don't really see killers complain about them.

I couldn't help myself and copied and pasted it into one of the recent threads about nerfing spirit 🙈🙊

That's really my point. Not everything needs a counter. Woosh.

Counter to Iron Will is eyeballs and intuition.

What’s the counter play to lethal pursuer?
The only counter play to it is distortion.
Whats the counter play to premonition?
There is none.
