Left 4 Dead AI Director Concept.

So hello again guy's and this time I am back with another Left 4 Dead concept, and since we got the introduction AI mechanics in Dead BY Daylight through Nemesis's zombies, I wondered that if it is possible to implement something like the AI Director from The Left 4 Dead games into dead be daylight.

Now in regarding's as to how the Infected and special infected would work, I already put some concepts down for on how the Tank and Hunter would work.

So with in regarding's of the whole AI director mechanic, I will go over how each and every Infected and Special infected would work, and their stats.

So first off on how the Ai mechanic would work is that every 30 seconds, their would be a 75% chance a Common Infected would spawn, and a 25% chance an uncommon infected would spawn. And Every 1 minutes, a special infected would spawn, BUT, You can control the Special infected. Now if another minute goes by and another Special infected spawns, you can decide to go control that one if you wanted to, but if you don't, an AI would control them instead, but that special infected would not be able to use it's special ability unless you control it. Ok so with those basics out of the way, let's go over everything now.

Also by the way, you would get audio cues for when the special infected spawn.

Common Infected.

Would have a movement speed of 95%.

Would Be attracted to loud noise notifications.

Could Be killed By Pallets.

Could Be stunned be Flashlights.

Can lose sight of you if you go far enough or at least hide.

They would need to Land 4 hits on a survivor to injure them.

They will need to land 4 more hits to down a survivor.

Their hit cooldowns are 3 seconds.

Ok so now on to the crazy part about the common infected.

When all 5 gens are repaired, A crescendo event would be triggered.

The crescendo event will get rid of all common and uncommon infected on the map, and will spawn 20 Zombies near the last completed generator.

There's a 90% chance that all zombies during the Crescendo event will be common infected and a 10% chance that it would be a VERY special uncommon infected.

Ok so next lets go on with the uncommon Infected.

CEDA Worker Infected.

Would have a movement speed of 95%.

Cannot hear loud noise notifications beyond 10 meters.

Can Be Killed by Pallets.

Won't be stunned be Flashlights, But will instead drop Boomer Bile.

They would need 6 hits to Injure and down a survivor.

But if they do land their 6 hits, the survivor would go into the Blindness and Oblivious Status effect for 10 seconds.

Ok so before we go on to the next uncommon infected, I'm gonna let you know that this chapter concept would be as long as reading a Harry Potter Book, of course I'm being over exaggerated, but this chapter concept was probably my most ambitious Chapter concept yet, but first, I am going to address the SPECIAL ITEMS AND WAYS YOU CAN KILL THE INFECTED AND SPECIAL INFECTED.

So let's first go over the items that are exclusive to these killers you use against the Killers name, THE INFECTED.

Also the items in the match also become Left 4 Dead items, not Dead By Daylight's items, unless you equip a Dead By Daylight Item in your load out in the beginning of the match.

So the first is the Left 4 Dead med kit, witch "Sorry For the pun" can heel you in under 3 seconds.

Next is Pain Pills, which gives you a temporary health boost for 2 minutes, so if you were healthy, then injured, then used the pain pills, and became healthy, after the 2 minutes, you become injured. Now if you are in the dying state, and used Pain Pills, you would go into the mending state. And finally, Pain pills would take 2 seconds to use, "But for a funny little Easter egg Louis, if he was a legendary skin or survivor, only takes 1 second to use the pain pills, and also say his Iconic line that you probably know what it is".

Next Is a pipe bomb, which is simple, you throw it, Every Infected within a 20 meter radius would go to it except the Uncommon infected and Special infected, and when it explodes, they go kaboom.

Next is the Boomer Bile, which is also simple, you throw it, every Common infected would go to it, but Uncommon and Special infected would not be phased by it UNLESS you throw the Boomer Bile Right on them which will send the Common infected to go attack them.

So next is adrenaline, which if you inject it into yourself, you move at 110% speed for 20 seconds.

Next is Molotov, which if you throw it, any type of infected that would get caught up in their would be burned, but if your if there, you would Become Injured, also Molotov would have an 8 meter radius.

So last but not least, is the Defib, which could only be used once in the match, and this would revive a dead player.

So next I want too at least go Over how the base game items would Infect "I need to stop the puns" the match.

The Tool box would do nothing.

The Flashlight Would apply to every infected except for one.

Keys would also do nothing.

Flashbangs and Firecrackers is the exact same description as the flashlight.

And finally maps would serve the same purpose.

Ok so you may be asking, why are keys and tool boxes useless going against the infected, well that's because the entirety of the gameplay you know Dead By Daylight is for is going to change.

You would still have to repair 5 gens on the map, but these would be the Left 4 Dead ones.

Each gen needs at least 3 gas cans to fully repair it.

the gas cans would be scattered around the map.

When you find a gas can, you can go pick it up and bring it to the gen.

It takes 3 seconds to use one can a Generator

And here's the crazy part about this all...

WHEN GOING AGAINST THE INFECTED, THE HOOKS YOU KNOW AND LOVE WOULD NO LONGER BE PART IN WHEN FACEING THESE GUYS, BUT INSTEAD THE LEFT 4 DEAD DOWNED MECHANIC WOULD BE INTRODUCED!

When downed, The Common, Uncommon, and Special infected would deplete your downed health bar.

The only other way they could prevent zombies from attacking you on the ground is either you take it like a champ, or you can use one of your items and all that, but here's the unique thing.

The survivors have an exclusive secondary inventory spot that can only be available if you have a Blighted Serum injector.

There would be multiple Pestualla Petals throughout the map that after you use, they become unavailable to use for the rest of the trail.

There would be at least 6 Pestualla petals.

When your Blighted Serum injector is full, you can use it in very dire situations.

When there is a bunch of zombies after you, Downing your health bar, or pinning you, you will be able to inject this blighted serum into the ground.

When doing that, any infected that was chasing, Downing your health bar, or pinning you, would get killed by the entity.

Also I forgot to mention this but it would take 5 seconds for a team mate to help you up.

So after injecting it into the ground, it would deplete, rendering it useless unless you decide to fill it up again.

Ok so now with all that out of the way, let's go on with the other infected ideas I was supposed to say 2 hours ago.

Fallen survivor infected.

The fallen survivor infected has a movement speed of 95%.

Hears loud noise notifications.

Can be killed by pallets.

Can be stunned by flashlights.

This Uncommon Infected however, needs only 1 hit to injure you, and if he does that, he will go sprinting at a 98% movement speed out of the trial.

If you successfully kill him before he jumps over the fence and escapes the trial, he would drop a Med Kit, Pain Pill's, a Pipe Bomb, and Molotov.

Clown Infected.

Would have a movement speed of 95%

Hears load noise notifications.

Can be killed by Pallets.

Can be stunned by flashlights.

Takes 4 hits to injure and down you.

But the thing about this one, however, is that if this guy is chasing after you, his loud rubber shoes will attract any Common infected to him within an 8 meter range.

Mud Men Infected.

Would have a 97% movement speed.

Hears Loud Noise notifications.

Can be killed by pallets.

Would be a bit harder to blind him with a flashlight because he's always crouching all the time.

Takes 4 hits to injure and down you.

But the Thing about this uncommon infected is that for each hit he does to you, their would be a splash of mud on the screen that would make it harder to see what's going on for 3 seconds.

Worker Infected.

Would have a 95% movement Speed.

Doesn't hear loud noise notifications.

Can be killed by pallets.

Can be Stunned by Flashlights.

Takes 4 hits to injure and down you.

But when you do try to use something like a pipe bomb or Vault, etc. This guy will go full on berserk mode at ya moving at a 102% Movement Speed.

Also I forgot to say this earlier but the Common and Uncommon infected can fault, but the Special infected Don't, except for one of them.

Riot Infected.

Would have a 93% movement speed.

Can't hear loud noise notifications beyond 16 meters.

Takes 2 pallets to kill this guys.

Takes Twice as long to flashlight stun this guy.

Takes 2 hits to injure and down you.

For as strong as this guy may sound, if you Flashlight blind or pallet stun him from the back side, you can successfully take down this guy.

Now finally for the SUPER SPECIAL UNCOMMON INFECTED I was talking about earlier, it would be none other than...

Jimmy Gibbs Junior.

And note that when the Crescendo event happens, this is the guy that has a 10% chance that he may spawn.

Would have a 100% Movement Speed.

Hears Loud Noise notifications.

Takes 5 Pallets to kill this guy.

Can't be blinded.

Takes 1 hit to send you into the Mending State.

Now you can see why this guy is the Rarest Uncommon Infected.

So now the moment you've all been waiting for, let's go on with the special infected, Which can only be killed by the Blighted serum or items, so pallets would not kill them, and also for their power Icons it would be the same exact icons as in their game, and every Special Infected screen would be blue when choosing a spawning location, and yellow when they are alive in the trail.

The Boomer.

Would have a 90% movement speed.

Can be Blinded.

One Hit Injures them.

Power: Similar to Plague's vomit, The Boomer will Puke on survivors with Boomer Bile, alerting the horde.

When the Boomer is killed, anyone within a 8 meter radius will get Boomer Bile on themselves.

The Spitter.

Would have a 100% Movement speed.

Can Be Blinded.

One hit Injures them.

Power: The Spitter can spit a pool of acid at a survivor.

If the survivor is standing in the acid for at least three seconds, they would become injured, or downed if they were already injured.

When The Spitter dies, she also leaves a pool of acid around herself.

The pools of acid are at least 6 meters in length.

The Jockey.

Would have a 95% movement speed.

Would be harder to blind since he's small.

One hit injures them.

Power: The Jockey could jump and latch on to a survivor to control their movement, and like I've said before, you could inject the blighted serum into the ground or use explosives to stop and kill the Jockey.

If the Jockey stays on a survivor for at least 30 seconds, that survivor would become downed.

The Charger.

Would have a 105% movement speed.

Can Be blinded.

One Hit injures them.

Power: The Charger can Dash at a 200% movement Speed for 5 seconds.

If a survivor Is on the sides of the Charger when he is doing his dash, they would fall down for a second then get back up.

If the Survivor is IN front the Charger however, The Charger would pin them down until somebody saved them.

If the survivor gets pinned for at least 15 seconds, they would become downed.

And how you can kill the Charger are the same reasons as for Jockey.

The Smoker.

Would have a 105% Movement Speed.

Can Be Blinded.

One Hit Injures them.

Power: Similar to Death Slinger, The Smoker can pull you in with his tongue.

When Doing that, the Smoker's Tongue, if your lucky enough, could be destroyed before he gets someone pinned.

If the survivor is pinned also for 15 seconds, they would become downed.

And how you kill the Smoker are the same reasons as the Charger and the Jockey.

The Hunter:

Would have a 110% Movement Speed.

Can be Blinded.

One hit injures them.

Power: The Hunter will be able the Crouch, Jump, and Pounce onto survivors.

When Pouncing on a survivor for 10 seconds, they will become downed.

And finally, how you kill the Hunter are the same as the smoker, the charger, and the Jockey.

THE WITCH.

The Witch would be the only Special infected that can't be controlled by the player.

The Witch will spawn when 3 out of 5 generators are completed.

She will either be siting down or wandering around.

The only way the Witch could attack is if she gets looked at for at least 5 seconds or she gets...

STUNNED OR BLINDED BY A FLASHLIGHT.

When that does happen, she will be the only Special infected that could vault windows, and even pallets.

She would Instantly break Breakable walls and pallets.

She Would Move at a 115% movement speed.

She can also instantly down a survivor a make their dying bar go down in 15 seconds max.

But there are ways to counter the Witch.

Listen out for her Crying and Little Terror Radius theme.

And don't even mess with her.

And when she does get her target, she will go back to sitting down or wandering.

It would take to a total of 3 Items or Pallets stuns to bring this thing down.

But the best thing you can do to defeat the Witch is by using an item right by her to instantly kill the witch.

So last but not least is...

THE TANK.

The Tank Will spawn when 4 out of 5 generators are completed.

He would move at a 115% movement Speed.

He Can be pallet stunned.

He Can be blinded.

BUT if the Tank hits you, you will become injured or if injured, then downed, but the survivor will get launched 12 feet away from the Tank.

And we can probably guess what his terror radius is.

Power: The Tank throw's a Big Rock.

When Holding the Big rock you move at a 105% movement speed.

If you throw the big rock and it successfully hits a survivor, they will become downed.

The Tank CANNOT DIE WHATSOEVER.

So I think that just about wraps it up guy's, and looking at the time, it approximately took me 4 hours and 29 minutes to write this, but you know what.

It was fun.

Now I don't know if my concept sounds balanced or weak or all that, but at the end of the day, I just wrote this for fun overall, and because of this you can probably tell that I really want more Left 4 Dead 2 content in the game at this point.

But ya that's basically it, and if you made it this far into reading this, thanks, or should I say, TANKS! "Sometimes I just need to released my puns into the atmosphere even if they don't belong there".
