The Twins Need some sort of nerf
okay before whoever sees this comes for my throat and says that the twins are weak or whatever i get it. i know they are i dont think they need any changes for victor or charlotte but... im so tired of people playing the twins and justifying camping at red ranks just because you can sit really close to the hook with charlotte and then go into victor mode.... I believe they need some sort of super small change that extends that range because it is too close and its so boring to go against, and i want to actually have fun when playing dbd and its impossible when playing against the twins cause they just camp with victor and charlotte is right basically right there. i dont know if anyone agrees nut let me know i guess? i find it extremely boring, so if someone can maybe enlighten me on how it isnt broken or boring i will listen with open ears, but i dont think anyone will be able to... thoughts???

🙋 if we're going to nerf twins we should also add a pig nerf. Pig mains and twins mains alike will appreciate this

The twins getting a nerf would make no sense. If you try to play twins like any other killer (lots of chases, lots of hooks) without camping and slugging, you'll have a bad time. The strongest way to play the twins is with camping and slugging. If you ruin the twins ability to camp and slug effectively, you move the twins from high tier, to low tier. I get that camping and slugging is boring, but it's still the best way to play twins. If you're going to nerf them so that they don't camp so much, you'll need to buff some other aspect of them as well, so that they still have a chance.

Twins are fine where they are

Oh, do you mean something like punishing them for playing well?

You can't sit close to the hook with Charlotte and switch to Victor.
Twins are already nerfed too much so this is pretty funny.

No. The switch to and from victor is already wonky as hell in a lot of areas. They're fine as is.

The Twins need a rework, not a nerf. They need to be reworked to make Victor actually feel like a chase power and not a "hey, you're injured so now I'm gonna down you no matter what because I'm 50% faster than you with a hitbox the size of a planet and a lunge speed faster than a Nurse blink :)" power. The switch times also make no sense. Why does it take a century to switch to Charlotte, but switching to Victor is instant? This is what makes them so disgustingly good at hook camping and tunnelling, and terrible at everything else. What if the opposite happened, and it took time to switch to Victor, but switching to Charlotte is fast?

They need a rework. Every counter in the survivor handbook was crafted into their current kit. Camping/slugging is all they can do at higher levels, because of their inherent weaknesses.

Twins need completely reworked. Thoughtless killer mains think it's perfectly okay for a killer to only be viable through facecamping and mass slugging. Anyone that's ever played survivor knows it's not.

Again?!

They did get a nerf.
Now playing optimally and downing someone actually punishes you if you have another survivor running next to you. They have 5 seconds to kick Victor and then pick up their friend. Rinse repeat.
Is that not enough?

Easiest killer to bully in the game doesn’t need a nerf

The twins need a full rework imo, they cant be too strong as they are since they basically have to play in such an unfun way.

Even Twins players who may not want to camp are semi-forced to.
- hit with Char
- change and chase a Vic
- knockdown
- return to Char and walk over
- pick Up and, obviously, go to ‘nearest’ hook.
RIGHT HERE, THIS MOMENT
we now have both Char and Vic near hooked survivor and the player only having control over one of them. You would literally have to walk away both of them to “not camp”.
Ya know what would be a simple fix? Being able to scoop up Victor and go hunt the next person (together). Killer was built to camp. I blame Devs for this one~

The Twins need changes 100%... the suck against coordinated teams that know how to deal with them, but stomp on everyone else by playing in a horrible way.
They're the most inefficient killer in the game unless played in a way that is just kinda terrible for the survivors. You cannot use your power to down, switch back, go to the downed survivor, pick up, hook and then go look for another survivor. You just don't have the time.
This results in Twins players using Victor to snowball while leaving everyone on the ground until enough pressure has been built.
The change they made to Twins did nothing but make them feel clunky to use for no good reason. Imo Twins needs changes and almost a full rework, and the fact they're adding AI to the game with the Nemesis makes me a little hopeful that they might do something like that with the Twins.
Imo, what they need to do is make the Twins more time efficient and in return make Victor available less frequently. For instance, say that Victor started dragging a downed survivor to a hook or to Charlotte, or maybe Charlotte gets her own version of different hook states like Pyramid Head involving Victor. Say maybe when you're controlling either of the Twins you can press a button to have the other stand still, or go roam around. This way, the power will feel more like a utility instead of just being useful to hit multiple people in quick succession. The Twins will feel like they are in two places at the same time, and Victor will be less available to snowball, since he will be occupied taking care of the survivor that was downed.
Just a thought, and I'm sure the devs are testing different ways to change them internally. I don't think it's fair to Twins players to just gut them while they await a rework, but I agree something needs to be done.

They need an overhaul. Their encouraged playstyle just isn't healthy. It's pretty much the only killer in the game that I think actively promotes "one sided fun" with that boring ass slugging and proxy camping playstyle.
They clearly know there's a problem because they (for some godforsaken reason) decided that instead of fixing it they'd just punish Victor for actually landing hits. If a killer has a design problem you don't fix it by punishing people who play well.
