What is happening to the game for PS4 users

I play the game daily but am getting sick to death of it now. For past 3 days I can’t play either because in game I lag really bad and when running from the killer I suddenly lag back right in front of him and get caught or when running lag back to where I started. It’s ridiculous ! I also sometimes disconnect from the game randomly and because of that loose points and go down a rank. Also can’t connect back to game for a few mins for “leaving” even tho I was kicked and then when I try to rejoin it says I have lost connection and keeps freezing at camp fire menu and kicking me again. This game has got awful lately and it’s the only game it happens too. I have spent a lot of money buying characters etc and I can’t even play anymore hardly.

    Are you hardwired to your internet modem or using wifi?

    I play on PS4. Hardwired in with AT&T fiber 1 gig internet. I can play multiple hours of Fortnite, Call of Duty, or any other game online without even one second of lag ever, much less being disconnected. When I play DBD I get frequent lag and relatively frequent "no network connection" disconnects.

    The issue started the moment they implemented dedicated servers for the PS4. I don't know why it affects some people and not others, but you aren't the only PS4 player that experiences this. Not only is DBD the only game it happens with, but it's the only thing I ever have any trouble with it all period. I can stream 4k movies from Amazon on WiFi 3 rooms away from my router and never buffer, but somehow DBD can't go without lag and disconnects connected to the router by ethernet.
