Now that the dust has settled, can people admit the twins aren't that bad
It's been months since they've been released, & many new strategies and builds have come along with them. Given all this time I think saying "the twins are bad" is just false information.

This isn't me saying yes or no to "Are the Twins bad?" because I don't play them, but I was under the impression that the one strategy they have that actually puts up results is the slug and/or camp strategy. What else is there?

As a Twins main, even though I don't camp/tunnel. It's pretty much impossible to not slug, but bodyblock, using Victor to figure out survivors location, guarding a gen, & being in 2 place at once are some other things they can do.

They arent bad just annoying and like the definition of boring (this coming from a person who never uses boring even with killers like spirit) being on the floor or camped isn't fun for either side id assume. Then when they try to go for a whole team slug even if ya kick victor hes back like 6 seconds later.

Constant slugging and camping with them just makes for many miserable games.

Sometimes the majority is t always right. I’ve personally found that, unless the survivors serve themselves up on a platter, trying to mass slug with Victor is the best way to play Twins. The crush mechanic is the great big red flag that supposed to discourage players from doing this with Victor.

They’re very strong. I’ve turned around with them. Pretty much only played them at release.

The twins definitely have potential to be good outside of camping and tunnelling and can even be okay without overly slugging
Id take a twins over a nurse or spirit anyday

I wish I could find my old posts, but I’m lazy and gave up.
I have done a complete 180 on Twins. Sure the first week I was having fun like most players, and expressed as such. Then I quickly HATED the Twins, thinking they were the WORST designed killer to ever be added, and I wasn’t shy about expressing that on these forums.
In fact I was very rude, which I’m embarrassed about now.
For some strange, masochistic reason though I didn’t drop Twins entirely. Like some sort of self punishment. Over the months I’ve played them for longer and longer stretches, from 1 match at a time, to exclusively for days on end.
And wow, I really love them now, and have a lot of success with them now, without the common scummy camping or mass slugging, EXCEPT where grouped up survivors basically make it too easy for me to ignore, making me an idiot if I didn’t.
I’d temporarily forgotten my own mantra that it takes my mths for new killers to come into their own and have their potential realised. Twins reminded me of this mindset. They’re a very deep, clever, well designed asset to DBD, with some smart nuances.
It still frustrates me how easy it can be for competent survivors to dodge Victor, but it is what it is. It’s always, ALWAYS incredibly satisfying landing a stealth pounce though. I can only imagine how badly those survivors mess their underpants.

Yeah I feel the exact same. While I don’t play them personally I went from thinking they were horribly designed to realising they are actually kinda well designed but just need a specific playstyle from both sides

I LOVE leaving victor blocking a loop, forcing the survivor to stop and kick him to pass, resulting in an easy hit from Charlotte.

They were always good.
People just don't like how they are normally played

Unless you want to spend the entire game facecamping and eventually mass slugging people, Twins are terrible. Just hop in a locker and the killer can't snowball, run around small objects and Victor can't hit you, pair up from the start and Victor can't down you, and they're still super weak against the generic second chance meta.
But apparently it's only the survivors that I go against that know any of this and everyone else just gets potatoes that never heal and split up.

They may good but the execution of their power will every be terrible.
I think there no way to change them without reworking their whole ability and maybe there character as a whole.
until then I will never play them.

They feel horrible to play as because of how janky and punishing they are and they’re just miserable to play against. All that camping and slugging can be horrible but that’s not something I can blame the players for, that’s just how the character is meant to be played.

Definitely A tier. I really don't like facing them, so I don't play them as much.

They are definitely powerful, but their playstyle is imo pretty unhealthy. And the reason their only viable playstile is terrible for survivors is because the killer is the most inefficient killer in the game.Good, coordinated survivors can still destroy them if they know what to do.
I'd honestly prefer if the devs made the Twins more time efficient and viable against really good teams, but limited their current slugfest playstyle.
Also that 5 second cooldown on Victor just feels awful...

Just jump into locker kappa

They aren't bad power-wise, they just are the very definition of un-fun, they are so boring that I don't know if I ever will get them

I used to think they were the most annoying killer, but them I started playing them. Instantly fell in love and now I main them.

They're not weak like everyone claimed them to be but boy do I hate playing against them and playing as them, probably the first killer I've ever felt like this.
Going against them usually ends up with you being slugged which is never fun and Victor's hitbox is just incredibly inconsistent. Playing as them just feels very clunky and off whenever Victor is on the loose. I'm most likely playing them wrong but I really don't know how to play them well without end up slugging and proxy camping with either Victor or Charlotte. They just do not feel fun to play at all imo

What absolutely trash survivors.

No never thought they were bad, or weak killers as I assume you mean. It's just the way most tryhard twin users play them, extreme slugging. Wanting to slug everyone from the get go. Which is why I think they are most boring killer to face, and one of the most annoying killers as well.
0 -
They're good IF you play them in what is considered the most toxic and unfun playstyle. Absolutely bad if you play them like a normal killer.
0 -
honestly from what I've seen the gameplay just isn't fun I wanna get coup DE grace I'll wait for that to show up in the shrine lol

Why was an injured survs fast vaulting towards the killer? I know he's trying to get a save, but come on

You can pounce survivors around any small and medium object. You don't even need add-ons. You must not aim directly at their model dead center, but toward the outside. The hit cone is very generous and will get them, almost like a Blight hit. You can also run ahead to briefly bodyblock them to buy time to charge up.
There was nothing premature about saying they were bad in the PTB. They were outright atrocious. All survivors needed to do when chased by Victor was to hop in a locker. That was it. He couldn't interact back then. And he could even be kidnapped indefinitely.
Maybe that stigma carried over at release when Victor could actually pounce through lockers, even though I remember the Twins being used in tournaments almost immediately.

I have yet to be pounced on or pounce on someone while running around a generator attached to a tree or some equivalent, because by the time Victor is charged the survivor is on the direct opposite side of the object and cannot physically be hit.

The moment I hear Victor pop out I know the game is going to be a horrible and drawn out experience.
I'd rather have nurse kill me in 15 seconds than slugged then picked up then someone else is slugged etc. etc. with The Twins.

You gotta come over to the EU. Our Twins players are cracked. All 3 of them.

you can see the full game on his channel if you want... it on his mmr twins video...somewhere

They're not bad, but they're not good, either. I still think they're very easy to counter both on the end of each individual twin being oppressive, and on the end of disrupting their ability to work together. The issue is that because nobody plays Twins ever, Survivors don't get that many opportunities to learn and practice this counterplay. Hell, Twins have been out for half a year now and I STILL have about a 5% chance of meeting a Survivor who understands that crouching towards Victor disables Killer Instinct in any given match, and an even lower chance of meeting someone who realizes Victor's stun time was increased to 5 seconds a few weeks ago. If most people still don't have that down, they certainly don't know actual good gameplay tactics against Twins.

I play them a lot, they are not weak.
But, you do have to play towards the playstyle they do best, which would be camping and slugging.
Survivors hate it, and its unfortunately causing a large dislike towards twins in the community.
On the other hand, a lot of times if a killer is not playing like this they can tend to have pretty rough games making them seem weak.
I love the twins so much, but they're gonna need some sort of rework. Number tweaks will not do it for them.
Maybe, with the new AI, we can see some interesting stuff.

I like the twins
It seems to me a very original and creative design
I would only change them something about victor camping hooked issues
The other issue, slugging, is something wrong in the game, it is not a twins exclusive thing

I thought twins were good, until I versed a comp squad who did the buddy counter, making them much weaker than they seem in pubs.
I'd place them about just under top tier, so about Freddy level.
