Well looks like I won't be playing this till tomorrow lol
EDIT: Oh btw for clarity. This is a 12 hour update IF I don't use the internet at all.

its 3.2 gb it would only be 31gigs if your accidentally downloading the ptb build which is an entirely different install

DBD and simple patch is an oxymoron.
A 16 mb patch often took around 30-60 minutes to complete its installation on SSD. lol.

I think the update is always bigger on consoles I'm afraid.
And yes you might need to restart your console for the update to proc.

😂 I can't even start updating. I'm on switch and it keeps saying server error 😂. System check says server is functioning normally, I updated a diff game 40 mins ago and I was playing dbd an hour ago 😂. I can't download 32gbs extra if that's the reason lol I only have space for an extra 10gb to be used.

Took "only" 52 minutes to download and install the 3,2 GB. Last 20 minutes were probably just patching.

for mine, I got an error and it said, ~51 gb of data needed, but when I started making room it shrunk down to the regular 3

Maybe its smaller for those who already downloaded the PTB? Perhaps it saved some of the assets from the PTB to make the download shorter?

Mine didn’t start automatically like normal. But this worked:
- Go to the PS4 main screen
- Highlight DBD
- Press the “options” button on your controller
- And then select “check for update”.
If this doesn’t work then I guess you’ll just have to wait and keep checking, but it’s at least worth a try!
