Why the nerf to franklins?
What was the thought process behind the decision to nerf franklins back to it's original state?
Is because to many crybabies were crying about the fact the were losing their dear items?
Come on bhvr, big chances that those little crybabies were sacrificed most of the time anyway when franklins was in play.
Big freaking deal if the items are lost, that is the risk you take when you bring items i to the game.
It was a good perk to consider bringing, now it's a MEH perk.
A job wel done BHVR 🤦♂️

Because they couldn't figure out how to make it not affect the new vaccine item survivors need when facing the new killer.
In other words, incompetence.
38 -
Looks like I can't counter keys anymore. 😓
14 -
Vaccines and flashbangs
0 -
Nope, you can't, sorry. Even if you tunnel them out the game, the key will still be there on the ground.
Then people wonder why killers feel like the devs are survivor biased and don't want to play killer.
13 -
I think it's fine. Franklin's didn't help you win anyways. It was just a toxic perk meant to ruin other people's fun. There is quite literally no purpose in running it outside of ruining other people's fun.
2 -
A typical bhvr move.
Always said it, they don't think ahead, they are like the dark Knight joker.
They don't have a plan, they just do things.
And when it doesn't work?
Well we just nerf something randomly (?)
13 -
Yeah so?
Don't see a problem with that tbh.
But if they are so concerned about that, than they should have thought about that earlier
1 -
A toxic perk to ruin other people's fun?
Are you joking right now?
Than what are 4 toolboxes, or medkits with those insta heals, keys, flashlights?
It's exactly the same dude
12 -
Insta heals don't exist.
Toolboxes are weak.
Flashlights are easily the weakest item in the game. Look at a wall.
Keys are strong, but if you slug early on and win before they can use them, they aren't a problem.
Franklin's does not help you win, even against keys. If they want to escape by key, they'll just drop the item so Franklin's will do nothing.
Franklin's was just a griefing perk, meant to waste survivors blood points, of which they already don't get enough.
1 -
That was the only reason to really run Franklin's, you'd see keys load into the lobby and would have the advantage to switch perks in order to even the playing field. However, now killers cannot do anything, literally you minus well let them escape at that point unless you think you're able to hold the majority of your generators to prevent hatch from spawning.
Next Mid-Chapter should be a key update, if not then I'm going to be very disappointed at the developers. I usually always keep an open mind when it comes to changes, give benefit of the doubt and let them have leniency before I begin getting upset. However, we have nothing to combat keys with AND they haven't addressed this since the beginning of the game. 😡
4 -
They could just, idunno, make it part of the animation for searching the crate, like plague's fountain
2 -
Yeah sorry but I have to disagree with you on that.
Toolboxes are still strong if you know how to use them especially in combi with some perks.
You know what I mean by insta heals, they are still basically the same as the were.
You use it and any hit you take during that time will apply deap wound, so basically you have still a extra health state.
Before it fully health you, now it's heals you over time and during that time a hit will be converted to deep wound.
So yeah you can ignore all you want but insta heals still remain, whether you believe it or not.
Yeah looking at a wall or tree can counter flashlights, but how many times do you actually down them next to a wall or something to counter that?
Yeah exactly not that often.
The keys, yeah sure if a survivor is smart which a lot are not.
They hold the key in their hands the entire game.
So yeah it was a good counter to keys.
That reminds me, I wonder why it takes ages to come up with a key rework? 🤔
Yeah yeah yeah don't come with that bs about it's more than simply changing some numbers.
We all know that is a load of crap, if they really wanted a rework that it would already be in the game by now.
It is only an excuse to try and keep the people quiet, nothing more nothing less.
8 -
That is why i said, they wonder why there are more survivors than killers and some ers actually switch to survivor because of that.
Any other gaming developers would stay neutral when 2 sides are in play, but not bhvr.
About the key rework, I wouldn't hold my breath, I expect it somewhere in 2022
1 -
"Ruining the other person's fun?" I'm sorry but since when are the roles responsible of the other roles fun when they don't even care about each others fun?
3 -
Man, don't take the bait. You will regret getting into a discussion with him.
2 -
That is actually a decent idea.
0 -
You never hear me complain about one perk

There's a difference between not being responsible for the other sides fun, and purposely ruining it. For example, there's a difference between looping to killer and going out of your way to bully them.
They are, but Franklin's will not give a win against that. Those teams are always SWF, and they'll genrush regardless of Franklin's. That's a separate issue that needs to be fixed.
That's one hit though. Old insta heals were much more BS, because you could heal two hits instead of just one. Also, you don't know whether they're running a Styptic or not. For me, those are very rare.
I down next to walls a lot, considering how looping works. Even playing Nurse I down people next to walls. It's quite common. Also, you can wait to pick up to bait out a save on the rare occasion you can't face a wall. You can quickly turn around and pick up to screw with people who were positioning for the save during your chase. There are too many counters for flashlights for them to be good. Although they're my favorite item to use, they're also a noob stomper.
About the key rework I'm actually glad that they're taking their time. Hopefully that means they'll come up with a better fix than they did with moris. I also disagree with how badly they nerfed moris. A number change is not the way to go on either rework. Although I do feel the same way about how long it's taking. It seems like they're trying to allow all the survivor's to use their keys on every character, which is working, as I see one in most games now. That is the BS part. They should've reworked them at the same time and not given any warnings.

I believe BHVR does their best to stay neutral, they just make changes that doesn't make sense sometimes. Such as removing our only key counterplay before balancing keys.
0 -
Commodius's are still strong toolboxes.
Syringe is still a Bs heal tech,
Styptic is still a BT effect to take another hit reguardless,
BNP still completes 1/3 of a gen,
Don't be like this dude, lol
4 -
Yeah I want to believe they stay neutral, but the thing is.
Everytime I hear or see someone saying that, I immediately think back to a certain Q&A stream.
I believe it was the one after the nurse or spirit change/rework.
One of the devs said "after we changed this killer, I was thinking against what killer do I also hate to go against? Well that would be the doctor" (here and there he might have used a different word).
When i heard that, it just showed they don't care of hiding it anymore that they are biased.
And after that there were more instances where they made a similar remark when they were changing things.
So yeah i wanted to believe they stay neutral but they have really proven themselves they can't.
And tbh who can blame them?
Survivor are the ones who bring in the most cash, so why not famour them and make sure they stay happy and buy loads of outfits

....killers always lose their add-ons at the end of a game regardless whether they had a good game or a bad game. Also survivors can do worse and take away the perks of killers if they cleanse hex totems. Like I'm pretty sure you're just trolling at this point because there is no way anyone can be this biased towards any side of this game.
4 -
If only the devs didnt overthink everything. It could have been so simple
1 -
It's trolling when any criticism of survivors is viewed as a personal attack, with you then crying and saying how unfair add-ons, perks, and which way the wind blows in a given map is so unfair for the poor poor survivors. Like you're here every other day making threads about how everything a killer does, from just existing to picking their nose in the corner of the map is considered broken and needs to be immediately changed and nerfed in to oblivion!
So here how about this. We nerf all killers and replace their weapons with colorful pool noodles. It then takes 20 hits to lower a survivor to the next health state, and if a killer somehow manages to kill a survivor at all during a game then they are immediately expelled from the match for toxic behavior and all survivors are rewarded with 600,000BP per game. There, you like those changes?
4 -
🤣🤣🤣
Just stop trying to be the next sluzzy, you sluzzy wannabe 🤣🤣
2 -
Spagethi code prevents them from making Vaccine a different class of item and/or making it immune to Franklins.
They resorted to changing the perk instead, how embarrassing
1 -
Unfair? This Perk wasnt even that strong. What are you complaining about? If you love your items this much u had the chance to pick it up. Like people said before in this discussions, killers lose add ons regardless of how they play and hex totems. But hey lucky break got buffed, a already strong perk. Now its fair. By the way im surv most of the time.
2 -
Either that person is a very butthurt survivor main who wants everything to get nerfed from killer or they try to be the next sluzzy.
And judging by the discussions they made and comments they placed, I would say he's a sluzzy wannabe
1 -
Keys should consume some amount of time and charges to open hatch.
3 -
Yup that could be a nice mechanic.
The hatch requires a certain amount of charges to open it.
That way when they bring keys with aura reading abilities, they have to be smart on how much the use it if they want to escape by the hatch
1 -
This
1 -
I haven't been able to play since the update due to constant lag, freezing and randomly getting booted off. What did the Franlin's nerf entail anyways?
0 -
It was in the patch notes.
It doest destroy the items anymore, now it only consume charges
0 -
You are a joke. It was the only counter to keys. Those ruin people’s fun, too, but you probably think they’re fair and balanced. You are a joke
0 -
Funny, because I'm a killer main. I never said keys were fine, but keys need a counter other than Franklin's.
You're the joke for assuming things.
