TBH is surprised just how dramatically they buffed Eruption & Hysteria.
First, to be 100% crystal clear, I’m not saying either of these perks are strong, OP, or weak. I’m still assessing that and giving them the time they need.
I’m simply surprised by just how much they reduced both perks cool downs, and removed the basic attack requirement.
We can all probably agree they were going to tweak and change some things with these perks, but to the degree that they actually have was a curve ball.

Usually when they want to change something, they usually add a nerf along with it. So when they not only changed the activation requirements, AND lowered the cooldown, I was suprised

Let's hope they do it for other perks limited by a basic attack requirement.

Like surge and knockout

Yeah pretty much. Because their affects aren't so devastating but getting ridding of an M1 requirement would go a long way in improving their. But for perks like STBFL and Sloppy I believe they should stay focused on the M1 but what do you think?

Surge would be OP if they removed the cooldown or basic attack requirement. Insta 8 percent regression and regression on gens within 30 feet if the killer gets 2 downs relatively quickly thats 16% instantly on a gen, and if the survivors don't have the time to tap the gen or something or even if they tap the gen, the killer can just pop the gen and now they lose 25% as well. Eat would just be the icing on the cake for a perk like Ruin, bc surge effects already regressing gens.

*Cries in surge*

But Surge does not proc on already damaged gens iirc? Same for Ruin gens.
3 -
It does, but all a change to surge's conditions would do is make it moderately effective.

They changed it this year. Surge always instantly regresses any gens within range by 8%.
1 -
surge's 8% regression will trigger on any generators within range when it is off cooldown - including gens that are already regressing

I agree there are some perks that need the basic attack requirement like sloppy butcher for example it wouldn’t be fair to have a huntress hit you with a hatchet and apply sloppy butcher it would be OP there are perks they should keep the M1 requirement like STBFL and Sloppy Butcher but others should lose it like Surge, Knockout, Dark Devotion, Franklins Demise, remember me, Gearhead and Hex Blood Favor

Heh. Hysteria is even better than you think. Because of one little fact i accident picked up when i was testing with friend.
Upon injuring survivor by any means, all ininjured survivors get oblivious status effect. Including survivor you just hit. Its really interesting actually. You can just slap a guy without anyone being injured, and that guy suddenly has big problem if he doesnt have line of sight on you. Also it procs by any attack, which will be REEEEEALLY interesting on Legion. Especially with cooldown of 30 seconds. I might actually considier buying Memesis for that one.

Right, but at that point you probably already lost a lot of progress anyway.
Surge requires you to hit 3 gens to get more value than pop. It really should not have such a long cooldown and should work on m2 as well.
They need to start buffing all of these perks, then making them like exhaustion so you can't stack them.

I'm eager to see how Hysteria works on my Plague.
