The new tutorial is cool but....
....let us chose the killer in "kill the bots" mode, so we can practice with a killer we are not used to.
Do you all agree with that ? I dont see any problems, and people will play killer more because they will be ready to play a new killer against real players, without the fear of getting bullied.

I absolutely agree with it, and think that there's a good chance that the devs will be going in this direction. They mentioned bots favorably in the 5th anniversary stream so I don't think that this will be the end of it. I'm no programmer but I would also imagine that adding more options would be relatively easy to do. After all, there's apparently already a full-fledged but mode in the mobile version of the game (I can't personally confirm).
What's there is already very good as far as pathfinding and general AI intelligence is concerned. The foundation is solid. I am fully in favor of them fleshing it out even further, adding more selectable options and characters, etc., for a multitude of reasons.

Hopefully that's where they're headed.

There's no reason not to allow that. I don't even know why it wasn't released that way.

Honestly I'd be perfectly fine with a straight-up randomization option. Imagine how cool that could be: Hit a button to start a match with the survivors and killers unknown, the perks and items and loadouts unknown, and even the maps unknown. That would be SO fun. Just a total DBD roulette. It would help to keep things totally fresh while also ensuring that every player who tries it gets exposed to all new builds, strategies, etc.
Of course I also greatly hope that they simply flesh out the mode by giving the player more control as well. I'd love to get in more practice as killer without a bunch of sweaty survivors rushing my game and mocking how poor I am. Or try more survivor loadouts to see how well they work against various killers. Playing with / against bots has tremendous potential, especially when the online game is going through a rough patch like today.

I would like to have this option too. Bots are not the best but they are fun.

The survivor bots when you play killer were actually decent, as long as you didn't single one survivor out at a time to win. They were pretty good all around. They could use improvement or at least a difficulty setting.

Would be nice I hate having my first 2 games trying a killer basically being a throw game

It's absolutely insane to me that they got an offline mode that was near perfect on mobile, but still have yet to do that on the main platforms.

I imagine that they're working on that. They probably don't have it yet because they haven't managed to teach the bots how to handle anyone else's power yet.
Edit: Also this is probably why it's currently locked to a single Macmillan map.

Absolutely agree. The entire point of survivor bots should be as a means to try out a new killer's powers in a low stress environment.

I would love that, I really want to learn a killer without being clapped by full meta perk teams.

I dont play on mobile, can you explain to me ?

they'd need to not only program the knowledge of how to use the power, but also make the killers & survivors move like actual players.

On mobile they added a mode where you can play against ai. You can choose what killer you want and it's not just the default 4 survivors in every trial. The ai was actually smart too so it was challenging.

Offline bots would be the only way I'd ever learn Nurse.

Kinda, yeah.
Though i really wonder how the current Killer AI would work on other Killers than Trapper.
Trapper's AI is quite simple after all: PUT TRAP HERE! CHASE & HOOK!

Be very helpful learning Blight since hard to master so would be awesome to learn in offline bot matches so you can learn all you can before you get wrecked in online matches.

Did the AI use perks on mobiles ?

It's been a really long time since I've played so I might be wrong, but I'm almost 100% sure they didn't. If they did then I didn't notice.

Mobile is developed by a completely different team. So, there's that.
