Blast mine needs a nerf
You should take away the blinding aspect, the stun is fine but with the blinding it's overkill with flashbang and flashlight

The blind is the most pointless part of it though
Blinding a killer who's not in chase or picking someone up does basically nothing

I don't think they should take it away but lessen the time. It blinds you for a very long time.

I think the perk is meme enough that the actual payoff is fine as-is.

Perk is fine.

Use lightborn. You still get stunned but it’ll show you their aura so you know where they went.

I don't think you realize how devastating this will be,bookmark this post when you get bullied and then tell me it's still fine

Yes, *blast mine* needs a nerf when there’s about 40 stronger perks
4 -
Not to mention how much time will be wasted this will generally waste in match, you get blind, stunned and survivor can still complete the gen in your face

Most killers run ruin these days, so they aren't kicking gens to begin with
Even then, some who also run pop + ruin aren't going to be swayed by the possibility of them having a niche perk
Plus how can people be bullied by it?

blast mine is fine at the moment it just buys a little more time for survivors
0 -
Afaik it blinds anyone around it, also how often do you kick a 99% gen when a survivor is there? It could work like that but it'd be extremely situational

Blast mine dont need any nerf the perk is fine the it is. The biggest issue is the surprise blind that flash hurt the eye so bad if i get flash 2 or 3 time in the same trial i quit and stop playing because my head start to hurt and the only thing i see is some red spot in my vision

Do any of yawl actually play the game

I just don't see how you can be bullied by Blast mine. If they start flash lighting you immediately after, it's like flash lighting while breaking pallets. It's annoying, but they're not making any distance.
I find it just that, annoying, nothing really else. I'm still using pop, but what it is doing is making me go for chases if I know I can get a down instead of kicking first.

Having taken a blast mine to the face I think the perk is hilarious. Keep it as is but maybe add some celebratory confetti.

A blind and a stun you don't think that's to much
0 -
Why would you care about the blind? That literally does almost nothing, it's the stun that actually does something.
0 -
Yeah it's annoying anytime survivors are annoyed by something, it goes so I want the blind part to go
0 -
At least with flashlights it gradually increases, & flashbang/firecrackers you get the hiss sound warning. Really enjoying having my retinas burned out, bcuz I haven't gotten lightborne on Nemesis yet.

Because, I don't want to be double blinded and triple blinded by,flashlights and flashbangs and blast minds come on man

Its a one off, so nbd in my eyes. You use it once per match, and you never know if the killer will even kick the gen or team mates complete it or the final gens pop before you get value, and you have to be near to capitalize on it beyond a short killer timewaste

Just look down right after.

Yeah and I've been blast mined and it's annoying but you're not gonna see it again after a week in more than 1/50 games because it doesn't really do anything. Repressed alliance is the stronger but less annoying version of this perk and no one runs it.
Perks that aren't "second-chances" don't stay popular with survivors for long.
Edit: you might see it when there's a stun/blind the killer challenge on if it counts for those

Not at all most of time when you kick a gen is because you have pop so you already make the choice to let the survivor go for pop you just waste 5 more sec before you can pop

My thing is that Blast Mine really only punishes killers when they break chase to kick a gen.
The stun lets the survivor make distance and the blind gives them cover so the killer doesn't know exactly where they went. Pop is a powerful perk, and if killer wants to break chase to apply it, I think it's fine they get punished for it the way blast mine does.

It's a stupid perk
But that's 45 secs

Blast Mine can certainly be used multiple times in a match.
3 -
yes

Or you could anticipate a blind and squint your eyes before kicking a gen. Currently, you'll only have to do this when Jill's in the lobby, but soon any survivor could have it.

Its actually a light burn aka if it successfully blinds it stuns the killer which is how it interrupts kicks.

The perk is fun to use but it's not great. The killer could have Ruin + Undying, or may never kick a gen with a trap regardless. Even when it does work, it delays the killer for just a few seconds. Then they get right back to kicking the generator again.
I can see it being useful in scenarios where a killer tries to greed and kicks a gen whilst in a chase so the survivor gets distance, but that's about it.

Ohh, maybe im confusing it with flash grenade then. Heck, it actually sounds pretty strong for those that play boldly and finish gens in front of the killer. I can dig it.
0 -
Both Flash Grenade and Blast Mine can be used multiple times as long as you are able to repair gens long enough to reactivate it after the first time.
0 -
Blast mine only needs 66% gen completion flash grenade is 50% completion
0 -
I could swear one of them deactivated upon use...
0 -
Blast mine says it deactivated after successfully procing
0 -
Yes, in that once the bomb goes off, you lose the ability to plant more bombs on gens and need to do 66% gen progress again to re-activate the perk and re-gain that ability.
0 -
Ohhh. Not super clear from the description. It uses that same phrasing for DS, and for that perk it means "once you use it you can't do it again"
0 -
Yeah, some of the wording they use from perk to perk is inconsistent. IMO perks that deactivate temporarily should just use "deactivate", and perks that deactivate forever should use "deactivate permanently."
1 -
DS and Lucky Break both say "disabled for the remainder of the Trial."
So they already use wording to convey that.
1 -
Oh, well that's good at least.
