Counterforce?
Is it any good?, i mean, the speed cleansing sure helps, but finding the totems can be a bit rough since it tells you the one thats farthest from you, and in some maps it can be annoying to find them.
I think Small Game is overall better tbh, even at lower tiers, but i could see combining both as some Totem Hunter build.

I think it's the best totem perk. The speed boost + showing exactly where the next totem is makes it the best in my opinion.

It's a decent perk, but I still prefer detective's hunch since it affects more than just totems
3 -
It okay, I guess. I ran it a couple of times and more often then not, it didn't get much value. Either I had teammates that found totems before me, robbing me of stacks or the killer just wasn't running hex perks anyway.

I guess you get more value if youre in a SWF, since you can have one person dealing with the totems, mainly for NOED

It is perfect. I am cleansing first totem and then going to next totem. But i am not cleansing new totem early, starting gen to near this totem. After finish gen, cleansing totem again and it shows me next target. :) With this way, i am not wasting time and totems going so fast.
And if killer has Corrupt Intervention, i am cleansing all of them. If you are protecting gens from me, then i will take your all totems in start. :)
I really do not know why this perk is here. It is kinda op.

it destroyed me

Counterforce + Small Game IS the counterplay to NOED, and all other hex perks. Welcome to the new meta: Lightborn Killers and Totem-Rushing survivors.

It's fine. Detectives Hunch is still better in my opinion.
In my opinion counterforce is a synergy perk and when paired with small game can be good.
It's definitely not op

Good bye hex perks. All it take is each Survivor cleaning one totem, add this and totems are finished at the start of the match.

Well, theres still Haunted Grounds to bait them, wasnt there also Undying which showed you the aura of a survivor near them?
3 -
Only shows auras of those near DULL totems.

Well better than nothing i guess, would need to be unlucky to have the Hex found first out of all totems

For seconds. So maybe they sit on totem when you were not look this side.

Have yet to see a killer zero in on me over a dull totem. Haunted ground is one of the few to capitalize on the cleanse, but also easy enough to wait out. I never put much faith in hex perks as I'd rather have something I can use the entire match.

Theres also Thrill of the Hunt to protect the Hex totems

I actually do not using hex totems except Devour. After this update, i stopped use this too. Only Noed, Ruin, Undying users will get hurt by Counterforce.

I think the combo is more of a counterplay to undying and thrill of the hunt. That extra 20%/40% enabled me to cleanse both Ruin and Undying in just enough time before a Blight could stop me. I think the aura reading is really only essential in getting the fifth totem which can be a trick to locate even with small game at times. But counterforce WITHOUT small game is kind of meh. Its a useless perk if you can’t locate one to begin with before others cleanse.

Every time a killer has stopped me from cleansing using thrill of the hunt it has always been within a hair’s length. He won’t have enough time against counterforce unless he is close by.

No. This perk is bad. Especially compared to all other totem perks

it's ok.
detective's hunch remains the king of totem locator perks.

I haven't gotten to use it personally (because I don't feel like playin a level 1 Jill RN TBH) but theoretically I think it's probably the strongest totem hunting perk in terms of actual effect. Sure Small Game is a free option that's available. Sure, Detective's Hunch might give me information on where multiple totems are. But the way I see it, as long as I trust in my good totem knowledge, I shouldn't be spending much time hunting for them anyway since there's usually 2 or 3 easy ones to find on a map.
Main reason I think it's the strongest is because it's the only perk, from my memory at least, that actually increases your own totem cleansing speed, therefore saving you time and speeding up your game. I don't count Leader here, because almost nobody runs that and the people that do I imagine are using it for their team mates to heal/unhook them faster, and aren't lingering around totem areas for their team mates to benefit from it.

i like it because you can find 3 totems on one end of the map and possible see where 3 more are hiding when you do go to that end of the map later on. the speed boost is pretty nice too.
