The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Just FYI, I can see you
I get this ALL the time when I play killer: Survivors that don't seem to grasp that I see them (rank 1 BTW). They stay crouched in a bush or in a corner I just walk right up to them, stare at them point blank for like 5 seconds, then smack them in the face. Whole time, they just sit there like they are invisible or something. NEWSFLASH good killers know the shape of all objects in the game. When the shape is different, it can only mean one thing. A SURVIVOR IS THERE.
Here's a few ways to tell a killer sees you:
1. They do a double take. If you see the killer look in your direction, then look away and IMMEDIATELY look back, they probably saw you.
2. The killer is looking directly at you and walking in your direction. Now there can be some context here, maybe he saw scratches and not you directly. Maybe there is a running gen 5 ft from where you are cough stealthing cough. Use some common sense here. But better to err on the side of caution and just assume they see you, because not doing that will get you killed WAY faster than getting a head start on a chase that had a very low chance of not happening because you were just so... hidden.
3. The killer uses their power on you from a distance. This can vary but if a Huntress charges a hatchet, be sure she is aiming at you. If you see Myers just standing there, for sho he is stalking your "stealthy" butt.
4. If you are wearing pretty much ANY of the store cosmetics, yes I can see you. David. You are bright ######### blue man. Unless you are a bloody Claud or Jake, you're gonna stick out like a sore thumb on most maps.
Oh one more thing... I also have ears... and a $300 5.1 headset. If you are hiding in a bush near me I will hear you move, trust me. I will probably even hear you breathing. Just... try not let me get that close to you.

Movement makes you much easier to see. You'd be amazed how often survivors get missed by just staying still in certain places, especially when the killer is looking around a lot. Thats not to say these pauses are always successful, but its a very effective way to avoid being seen at times (especially if the red stain is moving rapidly, aka the killer is checking multiple directions quickly.) Just think of it like hiding from a T-Rex

Your comments contradict a bit though... Why mention both hiding next to a running gen, and your $300 headset? Clearly the two would contradict in that scenario, since the generator is loud as balls. Its almost like strategies are situational and players need to be adaptive. 8-)

You can still hear footsteps and grass moving near a running gen. I meant running like not finished though, not running like finished. A finished gen is way louder than one that's even 99%. The "ears" comment was more to the fact that people like to Urban right next to you as if you won't hear them move (ie. stop walking through grass because it's loud).
And if you want to be stealthy learn how to break line of sight. As long as you keep an object between you and the killer you can move very freely without being seen. And obviously you want to keep some distance too, because then you can't be heard either.
Like I said unless you are p3 Claud or Jake I will see you hiding. A superior tactic would be to not let yourself be seen period by breaking LOS.

"Just don't get seen bro"

As long as you aren’t seen by the killer, you’re being stealthy. You can stealth around even when playing Meg and Nea with bright red and blue hair, as long as you can break LOS and crouch when you need to. I don’t always rely in my skills to win a chase so sometimes I will hide in a bush and some killers are blind enough to not see you and sometimes the bushes on certain maps (Haddonfield, Swamp, Yamaoka) are super dense and any Claudette can easily hide in them.
I can count on maybe one hand the amount of times I’ve been spotted hiding in bushes on Haddonfield. It’s not very frequent you are in a match with killers that actually have eyes and can spot you in bushes which is why a lot of survivors tend to hide in bushes.
If a survivor is just licking a wall then that is their own fault for not finding a better spot to hide, but most of the time killers are just oblivious to the most obvious hiding spots.0 -
For the number of times you've seen a survivor, I can petty much guarantee that you've walked right by at least double that amount. Just because you see them that time, doesn't mean that they haven't been missed before.
I can't even tell you the number of times I've had a killer double take in my direction and then walked right by me to go to some unseen notification. It's all a matter of perspective :>4 -
Don’t move! He can’t see us if we don’t move. Their vision is based on movement.

Same. I juked an invisible Wraith who walked by me so closely it was like I was playing Wraith (because of how loud the growl was).

A few times I have hidden behind a worked on Gen, had a Killer walk by, turn around, break it then walk off while I was right behind the Gen. Then I just go back to working on it when they leave.

I'm not saying hiding like that never works. I'm saying that when you think the killers sees you, chances are they probably did and you should move sooner rather than later.

LMAO that reminded me of Jurassic Park XD@Orion said:Don’t move! He can’t see us if we don’t move. Their vision is based on movement.

I had a game like this a few weeks ago with Myers, I saw a Claudette hide in the corner of the map. I got my tier 3 ready and just nodded at her and she still didn't move until I got closer to her and went into tier 3.

Survivors do this because the number of times they're not seen outweighs the number of times they are seen. I've had times where I was crouched somewhere and the killer surprises me by walking up behind me and I'm sure I'm seen, there's no way I wasn't seen, and I'm just thinking, "Oh man, I'm so dead," and then he walks right by. From my experience, it's safer to stay still until the killer hits me than it is to move the moment I think I'm seen.

I'm a low rank survivor, and play Kate. I like to be able to hide, but if you should see me then you see me. I am very hyperactive to choose to run because as a killer main I love the kind of survivors who think I am blind. Sometimes I am so quick to think they saw me that I have actually started running and the killer still doesn't see me.
One guy told me to learn to run before you hide, and that advice has worked out for me.0 -
