Alert worth for which playstyle?

Since the shrine is mostly crap, I thought about spending shards for alert instead of skipping the shrine this week again.. Like before and before and before...
But, for who is Alert designed? Really onky for stealthy survivors?
Can u give some examples?

It gives you the location for the killer, so you can know which pallet he destroyed or gen

The breaking the pallet/generator is only the slightly useful bit. The best part is the time after that.

It lasts around....5 seconds? So you see the killer kick the pallet and then most importantly you see which direction they go.

I didn't think it sounded great but I gave it a go and it's pretty great. It's also nice because you know when someone is in a chase early on before anyone gets hit becauase you'll see the killer smashing pallet after pallet.

For aura reading perks I prefer Bond though.

Alert is great if the killer breaks pallets/kicks gens. Its awful if they don't. Like most detection perks, its kinda hit or miss. Fair warning: it does literally nothing against freddy unless you're already asleep.

I play stealthy survivor and I always run Alert. it's really handy to see where the killer is and which way they're going. (unless they're good at mindgames)

Alert is amaze balls now.  Knowing where the killer is the best way to win the game.  If you know where he is, you can keep from getting hit or need all the other defensive perks.

I run alert, premonition, spinechill.  4th perk is a toss it but usually the one that helps find totems.. .Brain farting the name.

Depends on your playstyle, i personally find bond + open handed better than alert.

Since were on it heres my solo build calm spirit iron will self care so I don't have to deal with beeping 3mans farming me for points when I can heal alone and currently I run hope because the speed boost is worth it big time

I tend to use in my survivor builds Object of Obsession or Alert. Because both of them give me the information I need when I'm playing on my own, this is, the pallets that have been used during the trial. That is the reason why I love those two perks, because I have control and information of where there are pallets that haven't been used yet. Honestly, I think Alert is underrated right now.

It's a very versatile perk. It can be used on a defensive playstile to try to stay away from the killer because you can know his position. But it also helps you in an aggresive playstile so you can plan where to go before a chase starts because of the information the perk gives you.

For example, I had yesterday a game in preschool where my team mates used a huge amount of pallets. Thanks to Alert I knew I still had up the pallet downstairs of the school, the pallet at the second floor of one of the houses and the shack pallet. The other pallets of the map where all gone by then. But it gave me enough value to have the killer behind me for 2 minutes, enough time for my mates to finish the last two gens and open the gates.

Also I think it's important to mention that if the killer is a Nurse, the perk is almost useless, because the Nurse doesn't care of pallets and usually they don't bother to break them neither.

Spine Chill and Premonition are better detection perks IMO. Alert is okay, but you don't really need it.
