Is That Build Annoying on Blight?
I love playing as Blight, he is seriously fun killer and he has fair counterplays.
I am using this build on him: Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer + BBQ
But people keep saying that build is annoying and toxic. What are you thinking?

It's annoying but not toxic. Play how you want. That build might be a bit too oppressive against solo quers but it is what it is.

Annoying, maybe.
Toxic? Hardly. Two perks can be taken out of the game entirely so if that's what they tell you, it's just dumb.
1 -
God yes. It's so unbelievably frustrating to deal with, and honestly it feels like you're showing you don't feel confident as killer if you use it.
Not to mention it contains Tinkerer, my least favourite perk in the game, because of how badly it gives the middle finger to solo survivors. The perk ######### then over more than an Orgy.
Toxic? Probably not. Annoying? Yes. So, so yes.

A lot of people say that builds/perks etc are “toxic”. It really isn’t. Toxic is just a word thrown around far too easily, and doesn’t mean anything at this point,
If the build works for you, don’t worry about what people say.

Tinkerer is seriously so good perk for generator defend. But if they add cooldown for it, i will not feel bad. Because i think that's little op.
I actually using this build for SWF teams. They are so sweaty.

I wouldn't say it's toxic. I guess it's just annoying and boring to face because most people run it on Blight, so there isn't much variety when facing him but it's also the best fiting build for him, i mean he is a high mobility killer so off course you have the right to ruin a build that fit that power. The same way Deathslinger are allowed to use Monitor& abuse and Nurse's calling.
In a way it's boring as survivor but it's also quite previsible so at one point they got to learn how to counter it, either by splitting up on gen or by hiding away from the gen once it hit 70% or cleanse the two totems ?

Just do bone lol.
Try spreading do gen he can't go for them all at once
1 -
Honestly get rid of Tinkerer and I'm fine with it. I despise that perk so much

It is probably the Baby Killer-Build. You get carried a lot when using this build on Blight. Shows basically that you are not really confident when playing as Killer.
4 -
It's amazingly strong on him so I can't blame people running for running it but it does get old.
My usual blight build uses half those perks as well - tinkerer / bbq/ dragon's grip / trail of torment

That is my Blight build honey. Calling people "Baby Killer" is so rude because of perks. I am trying different builds on different killers. For example:
Freddy - Pop + Devour + Undying + BBQ
Legion - Sloppy + Thanatophobia + A Nurse's Calling + BBQ
Pyramid Head - Pop + Sloppy + I'm All Ears + A Nurse's Calling etc.

Baby killer build

I said, it is the Baby Killer-Build. Not saying that you were a Baby Killer.
When I used this Build on Blight while prestiging him (granted, with old Undying), I never lost a game. On a really difficult to learn Killer. Should show how strong it is.

Oh, sorry i get it wrong then.
For learning Blight, i watched guide videos. And most them were suggest this build

I just play the Killer once it reaches Level 50 and use the 100%-Offerings (or more, if I have BBQ unlocked). And I got pretty lucky because I had Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer every time I prestiged (not on Tier 3 all the time, but still).
So I did not have that much knowledge, but still 4Ked a lot with Blight. And I am pretty sure that I was not really good with him, since he needs a lot of practice and has a very high skill ceiling.

It is a really strong build when you lean into it correctly.
I wouldn't call it toxic, but I 100% find it annoying. Mostly, I find it boring.
I don't particularly show much respect towards killers who run this build, because it just feels lazy. The game plays itself, and if my teammates are low-risk takers the game is going to end 30-40minutes after it begins.
I play mostly solo-queue, and I'm tired of losing games because either Blight wins thru fruition, or my teammates all decide to start looking for totems with 1 gen left--giving the killer 7 whole minutes to create an end-game snowball.
I've seen far too many 4, 5, & 6k hour killers running this build, and it just makes me sad.
If you're learning a new killer, this is a very forgiving build (on more than just Blight). But I encourage everyone to move on to other perks as fast as possible.

I hate Tinkerer on any killer. Yesterday I faced a Trapper with Tinkerer in solo queue and we were unable to finish the last gen because of it. There was only two of us left and nothing we could do.

Its not even the strongest blight build. Tinkerer gets a lot weaker when both totems are destroyed. Blight is one of the killer with the best value from BBQ, but Corrupt would be stronger honestly. Tinkerer gives you already enough information. The problem with corrupt is that your totem will be found more likely.
So if you are lucky and ruin stays, its really oppressive and will win you the game. But there will be matches were ruin is just gone.
And imo its the right way to use a build which gives you a chance against good teams. Its not toxic if weaker teams gets destroyed with it, the matchmakikg isnt your fault.

Good build, but I'd swap Undying for Pop. Pop is more reliable. Survivors won't probably like it, but who cares. They have their own very strong perks and they mostly think their perks are totally fine.
1 -
Yes, this will stomp on solo survivors who have no way of telling their teammates “hey I’m getting chased, my gen was almost done go and finish it”. Tinkerer needs a nerf.
0 -
It's like using DH/DS/IW/UB on a full Blendette party, only considerably more common.
0 -
Solo survivors have good escape rates. But you can not escape all games, that is normal
1 -
I personally feel that this is the best build in the entire game on every killer. It's particularly amazing on Blight because he's just so fast.
Not to get vulgar but there's a reason it's known as "the small pp build" or the "basic b**** blight build". It's extremely annoying and half the time you can't do much against it.
Basically every move you can do as a survivor punishes you. Doing a gen will punish you because the blight will get the tinkerer and regress the gen with ruin. Leaving the gen to go unhook someone will also punish you because you left the gen and it's regressing. Finding the totems is punishing because of the same reason. It makes playing survivor a nightmare.

Obviously you can’t escape every game. But dying to someone using this build doesn’t feel fair either.
0 -
4 x UB + BT + DS + DH SWF build is fair? Because most killers facing with this.
0 -
That is reason i am using Small Game on my most builds. If i out totems early game, we will have chance.
0 -
Just imagine that build on Freddy. If you get tinkerer you can just teleport to any generator you want and instantly regress it for free while chasing someone. I think a Freddy with your Blight build is the least fun I can ever have in this game.
0 -
Do the bone, so you don't get the bone
0 -
I did not used on Freddy but possibly that build would be so good on him. I love Devil Builds on Freddy. I already mentioned one of them.
Freddy - Pop + Devour + Undying + BBQ
0 -
Barbecue and Tinkerer at the same time might be a bit overkill since you will always get the most important info from Tinkerer.
It's super effective and boring to face build, but who cares right. Use what you want.

BBQ is not for info, BP bonus
0 -
Don’t slug, don’t tunnel and wait out dead hard. Really not that hard.
0 -
That was point of this topic actually.
Because most times i am facing with this comments: Baby Killer build, toxic build, noob killer perks etc
0 -
Then it is a must have :D
0 -
For my build, Use Small Game and clean totems early game. And now i have to play with 2 perks all game. And both them are just using for info. Really not that hard, is it?
0 -
I wish Tinkerer would give BP bonus, not BBQ. Because countering BBQ is seriously so easy.
0 -
Its not hard, but since the game is so killer sided these perks are a must have.
0 -
Game is killer side? Wow, you are full with surprises my dude.
0 -
Of course some people will complain about that build. Every perk fits his ability perfectly, just like infectious on oni, bamboozle on bubba or... stridor on spirit
Is that a reason to change anything (except for the stridor spirit, no question here)? Killers had to play vs. the same boring meta builds for years.
0 -
If I want to win with Blight I'll run something similar.
Bamboozle, Ruin, PGTW and Tinkerer.
Seems to work pretty well.
0 -
I mean. It's annoying yes. But that's because almost every Blight player uses that build. And it's starting to become really boring. Because not only is that build really annoying to go against, the Blights that are using this build are playing the same. You're getting chased, Tinkerer activates, and the Blight is out of there.
It might not be that annoying in an SWF. But as a SoloQ gamer, when no one does gens, it's really frustrating.
I can't really blame them for using this build, because it's a really good build, and survivors do also have really annoying builds on their side.
