Why does every body I know says that Lethal Pursuer is a Great Perk?
Idk about this man. Sure its an okay perk that is neither strong or weak, it's just meh. Like I had this Match while using it, 2 Survivors started working on Generator sure I saw them working on it through the perk but Discordance would have yielded the same results while being reliable throughout the whole trial. Like a fellow friend of mine said that he loves Lethal Pursuer more as you know where to find survivor at the start of the trial but wouldn't just Discordance, Undying or just heading to the opposite direction as a Killer would get you the same results rather that just getting to see the survivors for a few seconds at the start?

Its great at causing crippling depression.

Because the start of the game is the major part of the Trail where you can lose time if you make a mistake (EX: Go searching for Surv in the wrong direction)
It's a strong perk because it lets you know where a survivor is ASAP, and start creating pressure.
It's important to remember different killers too. Yeah, the perk wont have as much effect on Leatherface as it would on Nurse, for example.

on hyper aggressive killers like nurse or blight who can be on the survivors before the effect of lethal pursuer ends its amazing to start the snowball

because one or two streamers said they like it, so clealy that means its good

Its not a good perk for anybody that's been playing the game for a while. Its "good" for new players to learn survivor spawns but its not needed since like you said other perks do the same job but better. I hate killers perks that get disabled throughout the match, why would I willingly only play with 3 perks for the rest of the match? Its like how some hex's aren't good enough to even warrant them being hex totems, the high risk high reward style they should be. I can only say I hope no more perks come out like this, but i know they'll keep doing it.

Lethal pursuer allows you to see exactly what every survivor is doing at the start. You can start a chase and zone the survivor to bother other survivors.
You can make a decision about which gens to prioritize and which ones to let go. You can decide which group of survivors to tackle because you know for sure how many there are at a given location.
Once you get into a chase with the knowledge of everyone else is more or less, if you're good, you can start pressuring survivors immediately.

You'd use Lethal Pursuer with Corrupt Intervention to get value during the early game, that's what I been using on my killers to prevent the loss of multiple generators starting the trial.

Not true it’s great cause early game killers and people who can pressure can dominate with this perk like Oni, Nurse, Blight, Myers, Billy and more it removes the problem of having to find people
1 -
I hate that idea though because at some point you'll only be playing with 2 perks, and that just doesn't sit right with me.

This is my opinion also - the perk is only good on killers who:
A) Can get to survivors before the perks ends.
B) Snowball well off early downs.
By contrast for most killers without very high mobility, Whispers will allow you to find survivors almost as well and is useful through-out the game. So LP is IMO a well balanced perk - useful but not game-breaking.

Yeah, but you're not losing any generators AND have early game pressure. That's worth two perks to me, but I understand having two perks afterwards isn't for everyone.

I feel like it's a very weak perk. I mean you might as well use Corrupt and protect gens close to survivors in the beginning and survivors come to you instead. Could be good on Plague perhaps if you bring a couple of apples and get you vile purge straight away. Other than that a perk that last seconds and then you have three perks all game..no that can't be good.

I honestly don't know. I personally feel like the perk is extremely overrated by a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, being able to find and chase someone very early in the match is genuinely amazing. However, in my opinion, that doesn't warrant playing with 3 perks for the rest of the game. If there was some way to make the aura reading trigger another time in the match then it would be a really good perk. As it stands now though, I'd say the perk is on the weaker side of things.

The faster you down someone the earlier the pressure you get, so basically lethal persuer is great with aggressive killers, while whispers does the same lethal persuer is just good I wouldn't consider it amazing.
I use it with billy and blight and it's just *chef kiss* easy early downs, easier time continuing the snowball mid game.

Step 1. Play Nurse
Step 2. Lethal, Agitation, Starstruck Infectious
Step 3. Injure all 4 survivors in 2 seconds
Step 4. Games over

Lethal Pursuer tells you exactly where everyone is and what they are doing at the start of every single trial. No other perk in the game saves you that much time and gets even a basic m1 killer into a chase within 15 seconds every trial, it's basically the best slowdown perk there is.

its a good perk on certain killers that have good map mobility/need to charge their power
it also wastes less time on certain maps (lerys, and midwich for example) and helps you get into chases quicker

I haven't used it nor do I plan too, but unless you're running Corrupt, its so easy to find survivors early. Discordance and failed skill checks for a start

I run discordance all the time, and I find it is too easy to counter once the survivors guess you have it. I think lethal pursuer has more advantages. It shows you EVERYONE. That means you can spot the ultra sneaky survivor, the idiot, as well as the team working on the gens - unless they run distortion, which finding out that can help you, too. I main Shape as killer so I would use lethal pursuer to find the idiot running around like a chicken with his head cut off, because he'll be the easiest to track and he will stand in the open the most for stalking. The gen rushers like to hide around the edge of rocks crawling around and you can't get a clear fix on them unless they don't notice you stalking them while they plow through a gen, and the sneak is going to go for a save or finish a gen sometime so they'll show up, usually.
I don't think I'd ever run both, but lethal pursuer has advantages for sure. I've noticed that most games against good killers (other than people learning Nemesis) that are using this end before the second gen pops. It is probably too good.

Except that you don't actually get proper value from all 4 perks every trial. You think you do, because whatever perks you're using are still "available", but in reality you may as well have empty slots in every trial, depending on the flow of the trial.
So, you can either risk that, or run perks that are guaranteed to give you massive, genuinely consistent value but then go away.

It isn't about finding survivors.
It's about finding the right ones.
The difference between chasing the first survivor you see and starting a chase in a cluster of 2-3 survivors is huge in terms of pressure

Let me give a few examples to why Lethal Pursuer is better than you think:
- Survivor spawns are not consistent, sometimes they all spawn together on the opposite side of the map, sometimes only 1 person spawns on the opposite side while 3 others spawn on the same side.
- Knowing where the survivors are EXACTLY is better than having an indication. Sure, Discordance might have a similar effect, but Discordance only lets you know that there is more than 1 survivor working on a gen, it doesnt tell you if the 2 other survivors are in that same area or if they are splitting gens across the map. It's better to make sure they dont break apart any 3-gen early on at the start of the match, than it is to catch 2 survivors. Essentially, Discordance tells you where 2(or more) survivors are, maybe saving 1 generator while probably losing 2. Lethal Pursuer gives you knowledge where all survivors are and allow you to save all gens if you play it well.
- Undying only works around inactive totems and those totems are randomized, you might have an entire game without any survivor being shown to you with Undying, as Undying doesnt give you a notification when survivors are revealed to you(meaning if a survivor does a totem behind your back, you wont know at all if they ever were there). Lethal Pursuer guarantees the info.
- The higher tier you are as a player, the less likely other information perks work. Surveillance only works if a gen is actually regressing, and more often than not, high tier survivors tend to finish gens before you can kick them, making Surveillance not worth the slot. Discordance might work once or twice, but they might use it against you while their teammate finishes a very important generator alone. Lethal Pursuer gets better with your personal skill. If you're not a high tier killer, it might not seem useful as the survivors you face arent high tier either.
