After RE Update - Nintendo Switch DbD Game Crashes

Myself and MANY of my followers on twitch who play DbD on the Nintendo Switch have tried NUMEROIUS times to play custom matches after we have all done the RE update (todays update). None of us have even tried a "regular" normal game. But in the custom matches. Everyone ends up crashing.


Usually the crashes happen one at a time or two then one then the last one. The crash takes us back to the Nintendo Switch Home screen.

We were playing with new killer on the new map in custom matches.

I've heard other games (regular games are crashing causing dc penilties, up to even 2 days worth now).

It is so fustrating, a couple of us streamers just ended our streams and turned off our games.

This was suppose to be a BIG event for us UnderDog Whisperers (Nintendo Switch Dead by Daylight Streamers) and it has turned out to be a total failure after all the hype.

    I can confirm that this happens with standard matches, as well. Every SINGLE match I've tried since the update has crashed.

    So hard to be an OFFICAL Nintendo Switch Dead by Daylight streamer and STRONGLY promote our platform with this game when it doesnt work right. This is why we are the UNDERDOG console with ZERO representives. I really think we need a Fog Whisperer on the Switch so that person can have a direct line to the devs to help get issues resolved.


    #UnderDogWhisperer (something we created and have a small community already)


    Please DbD, get the switch version fixed so we can play this game....and stream it.....and keep the growth and commaunity strong.....I just paid for the new chapter and I can't even use it. How freaking fustrating.

    I've had this happen to me twice after the RE Chapter release and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not but both times it was against a Nemisis. I don't want to incur more DC penalties so I haven't been playing much after it happened. I never had this happen to me prior to the RE chapter.

    Holt, I am not positive this is just one bug. There seems to be a 5.0.0 bug, and some from the new content. My experience has been the new content is crashing the game, as I am having little issue when he new content isn't in the match.

    Happened again and I realised it was on Auto Haven all 3 times so it can be Nemesis on Auto Haven causing issues that make the Switch crash.

    yup it's been happening actually since the All-Kill Chapter but the RE chapter is very bad on the Switch :(

    I had it happen again but this time it was on Coldwind Thompson House against a Nemesis. It's frustrating.
