PS4 lagging after the Resident Evil Update
After the latest Resident Evil Update (which btw took ages in PS4) the game is constantly lagging. I kept losing matches because was teleporting from one place to another, or my screen was just freezing, especially during chases. This was never an issue before. I gave up playing cause I kept depipping and couldn’t finish my current tome challenges, which is sad cause I have paid the auric cells to get all skins and cosmetics. I hope the devs will fix the issue soon. Anyone else having this problem?

Same here,before the update the game performed perfectly. Now i have freezes after gens are completed in chases etc. Unplayable right now unfortunately

The reason it takes ages on ps4 is because of the file copying on the ps4 side.
This has nothing to do with bhvr or dead by Daylight.
The lagging was already before this chapter.
I came back after 4 months last Saturday and noticed a massive amount with lag

It never lagged before, only after the Resident Evil update. 🤷🏻♀️

Aren't there always threads about performance problems after a new chapter? Isn't this by now the standard for dbd between a chapter release and the inevitable hot fix one or two weeks later?

I never had such an awful lagging issue before the Resident Evil update, Hope the devs will fix this soon.

The problem is that those things can be quite different for everyone. I never had a disconnect since release on 3 different PC.
A few weeks ago I got kicked out of the loading screen 2 times resulting in a 5 minute timeout. No idea why or how but sometimes stuff like that happens.

Yep. PS4 here. Lots of lag. Made the gaming experience less enjoyable for sure.

Neither did I, but when I started playing again, I noticed a lot of lag during different matches

ah so i turn off the ps4 and reinstalled (ing) for noting then. i had a error on the home screen and thouth maybe that was doing it but was also looking to make sure its not just me. someone im guessing needs to make a video to show what we mean. been playing on ps5 but if i want the 100% again need to turn on ps4

On ps4 I can see a white blink on part of the map (ground and trees) when I'm running. It's not all over the map, but I see this detail in all of them. Maybe this will help fix the lag issue before 5 year event. Thanks

Yeah game was running much better before the update. I hope they fix this soon.
It is a big handicap in chases.

Yip its bad, even worse when facing the doctor so im just dcing him every game and moving on to my next till they hopefully fix it soon.

The lag and flickering seem to happen almost every match. Sometimes it doesn't affect much, if I'm just walking somewhere, but while in a chase it can make a lot of difference.

Perhaps i need to play another game, but i have a launch day 1st gen ps4 and it was "fine". I didn't have large pauses or spikes, just te usual trash tier framerate that is somewhere in the 10-20 range.
Have you guys changed your thermal paste or is it still on the factory paste? i changed mine and it ran way better and quieter afterwards.

Nope. I have ps4 pro and I don't have this problem in other games.
