What's your favorite map, and why?

Mine is a toss up between the Red Forest and Glenvale. I love the gloomy feel to the Red Forest and it is the map to my favorite killer, the beautiful Huntress. However, I absolutely love Glenvale and think it's one of the most beautiful maps. I love the piano playing in the main building, the hung man in the streets and it's probably the map I learned the quickest.

Survivor main. Unfortunately, I don't escape these two maps very often. 😂

Mmmm great question, back in the day I would've said coal tower but now...... I don't really have an answer, I just hate these map reworks.

Coal Tower because it’s a balanced map for both sides. It’s small enough and has enough safe structures to make it an even playing field. Many maps can’t say the same.

    Father Campbells Chapel.

Perfect size. Strong tiles that can chain into other strong tiles but doesn't chain the whole map. A main building that is decent for survivors and not a nightmare for killers, a carnival area that is somewhat weak but can still buy a decent amount of time if used correctly, and decent gen spread.

My only complaints are 1. Shares it's realm with Crotus Penn. i hate that map and i don't want to use an offering that might send me there. 2. The totem spawns could be better.

For a very, VERY long time, Old Lery's was my favorite map. I absolutely loved it, both as survivor and killer. The creepy hospital ambience was amazing, its visuals and detail were easily among the best, and it was a perfect map for my "all-seeing Freddy" build.

    Until, the rework ruined it.

Now, I believe Mother's Dwelling and Midwich are my favorites. Those two maps still have the ambience that other now lack.

Coal Tower, not unfair for either side, with just enough resources to use as a survivor.

My favorite maps are related to aesthetics and not to actual pallets and balance.

So far lery's memorial institute, Springwood and Raccoon City Police Station.

I think I'm doing well with looping at these maps, because every loop is not too far from each other and i feel safe running around.

I remember that map. I truly do.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I liked Old Blood Lodge. This is just a meme.

Yeah, just like most maps. Unless she gets hit with some random bug, that is.

I absolutely love the Red Forest. 😜 Autohaven with the gas station is my favorite version of that map. I like the gas station a lot.

At first i HATED the autohaven rework. But its really grown on me as alot of it is very well balanced and fun to play on, my personal favorite is blood lodge, it has strong loops but not too many in one area (looking at you suffocation pit) to the point where its a kicking simulator. The main building has a strong window with an actually well designed breakable door.

Next up is old thompson house. This used to be my all time favorite map ever because it was pretty well balanced but its not above blood lodge since ive played on the rework like 3 times. However the times i have played it it feels very nice, the breakable doors have good design and for coldwind the loops arent bullshit like cowshed. I simply love the new atmosphere with the texas chainsaw massacre vibe.

For the third is the groaning storehouse. Its balanced, and holds a special place in my heart because it was the first map i ever played on. I actually like the macmillan rework quite alot, though i wish it still had the blue tint.

As either Survivor or Killer, I really love Midwich. It has great spooky atmosphere, and great visual details.

I love Midwich as well, for exactly the same reasons. Additionally, when I first played Silent Hill back in 1999, I got to Midwich (for those who don't know, within the context of the first SH game Midwich is an elementary school that you enter very early in the game during its first "eclipse", a spooky event in which you hear the now-familiar siren and the game world turns to black night. Once inside the school, you're attacked by what are basically undead children with knives). It's a very creepy and memorable location. But for me, what's even creepier is that after I spent my first night with the game, saving it and going to bed after having gone through a school killing the equivalent of children, I woke up the very next morning to the Columbine massacre. Midwich will always be a strong symbol of creepiness and melancholy for me in a way that many other people can't understand.

As for my own favorite map, it would be The Game. I know that many people hate it but I simply love the design and aesthetic. I love the first three Saw movies and the map is a fond reminder of them, and I also like that it's a complex map with multiple levels as well as a mix of open and narrow areas for lots of places to hide as well as get caught completely exposed.

Mount Ormond. Cuz its a decent map, the main building is very cool to run and I love snow maps <3. Also I love Legion and their story.

I feel like i have the most fun and balanced games on the McMillian maps, so guess they are my favorite from a enjoyable point of view.
