Has dc penalty been disabled? Also, hook bombing increase.
I have been trying to get some survivor challenges done today, played about 16 games so far, and in every match at least one has dc'd first down and in some matches two or more. Every single game.
Also what the heck is going on with all the hook bombing? Someone asked me on ps5 why I didn't unhook them. They were on their first hook, 10 seconds up, then dc'd. I then got a message that went similar to this.
Him - why didn't you unhook me
Me - because someone was looping right next to you and got downed. I was waiting for the killer to pick him up and walk away.
Him - I had ds obviously
Me - how was I supposed to know?
Him - because most people run ds.
Me - not as many sine the nerf.
Him - 3% less after the nerf. Still 63% run it, you should have known.
Me - so he would have downed you off hook, hooked the already downed survivor. You ds him, he tunnels you and hooks you again.
How was I supposed to know as a solo queue survivor what his perks were? Why are they trying to force me to become a part of the hook bombers. I wanted a safe hook rescue not a 'I'm farming you for points' unhook. I remember when hook bombing was frowned upon but it seems to have become a normal part of the game now.

For the hook bombing part, you can never satisfy people, not as killer and not as survivor.
To the dc penalty, there was a post yesterday saying they were off because of the frequent crashing. Its no wonder that the dc apocalypse would be back without the penalties, maybe opens the eyes of some people that want them off permanently. Or most likely not since those people tend to live in their own reality.

That guy was full of #########. DS's pick rate is waaay lower than 63%. I see one survivor running DS in a typical match, sometimes zero, max two.
Not your problem if he wants you to be telepathic or an idiot. In another scenario, he'd be screaming at you for doing exactly what he wanted you to do this time with the exact same knowledge you had of his perk loadout.
Safe hook rescues should always be the goal unless the team is in panic mode and you don't have time/a realistic opportunity for the killer to leave the hook area.

Oh so they are off. I must have missed that news. No wonder there are so many disconnects, it ruins the game imo for both other survivors and killers.
I thought it was lower than that as I rarely see it on the tally screen anymore. Every game I had as survivor had hook bombing happening, people getting downed every 10 seconds, had to switch to killer as it was sapping all the fun from survivor.

I had a game about an hour ago, i hook steve, jeff immediately unhooks steve befire i can take 2 steps. Steve immediately goes back down before he can take 2 steps. Steve does not have DS. But im the tunneler apparently 😂

Yep, it's off. This is exactly why I said they need to just fix the problem quick, not just disable the penalties.

Well on one side great I didn't advice them anything that could lead them to getting ridiculous timeouts.
On the other great, good luck getting to play a round from start to end without someone dipping out because they didn't like how it went. 😩

Looks like I will take a break until it's fixed then. It's not fun to have people dc, no matter if I'm playing killer or survivor. This is supposed to be a team game, survivor side of course, but the dc's and hook bombs are seriously showing survivor selfishness.
