Should map offerings be retired?
This is just a thought. I personally feel like they split up the player base even more, both killer and survivors. 90% of the time when either side brings these offerings, they are brought in to gain an advantage. The other 10% is mostly just to see a new DLC map/get to experience it.
Some Pros I can think of:
- No more abusing on either side/Gain advantage
- Less Spent BloodPoints in the Bloodweb
- More space for items/add-ons
Cons:
- No more Spoopy Myers
I don’t really ever use these offerings (except maybe MacMillans, as they can be 50/50 for either side) other than that, I don’t touch these offerings. What are your guys thoughts?

Should? Idk, idc.
Would i remove them? Oh absolutely, i never use them, don't care where i end up, and they're just a 5k BP sink.
Would greatly prefer to see more room on the Bloodweb for BP Offerings & all the Add-ons.
I'd even prefer the ######### Add-ons, cause i still use those sometimes.

Nah, I like them. Actually I think we should have more. Offerings such as the Harvest Festival Leaflet and the Psychiatric Assessment Report shouldn't have been removed, in my opinion.

don't really care if they stay. I never use them...
I would remove the fog offerings first... no one uses them unless they wanna meme.

I forgot those things existed

Yup. Oh, and set every match to Coal Tower too.

Map offerings are one of the few actual useful offerings. I'd want them to stay tbh, if someone wants to play on a certain map/realm so be it.

Nah keep em but they should retire mist and luck offerings

I like them and would miss them. There are just days where you get a specific map or realm thrown into your face the whole time. I like to use offerings then to get some variety.
i am also using any map offering on either side (well some maps I avoid on specific killers..)

No but I do think they should make Sac Wards more reliable.

I wouldn't mind the removal of the map offerings, the pros listed are pretty good reasons.
That said, I would only be in favor of it on one condition: The map rotation would have to be reworked. There are maps I hardly ever see (I mean literally like once every 50 or 100 games) and then there's Coldwind, MacMillan and Autohaven. Throw the stupid swamps in there too.
Someone said this before, it's not my idea, but it's a good one: The randomization needs to look at the realm FIRST before picking the map. When some realms have a single map and some realms have five, there's an obvious imbalance (see the realms I listed above). I like Coldwind fine but I'm sick of getting it literally half the damn games that I play. I would have no need to use a map offering if the game paid attention to how frequently certain realms were represented. Every individual map should have an equal chance of showing up an equal amount of times per day. That needs to be fixed.
TL;DR: Sure, get rid of map offerings, but fix the map randomization process so that they're not needed in the first place.

Something tells me you might be biased but i can't quite figure it out 🤔

While they were kinda cool they did just clog up bloodwebs of those good add ons you want

I would love to delete mist, basement and hatch offerings first tbh

Yes please.

Hm, idk

I tend to use certain map offerings because most of the redone maps don't run too good on my PC. So if I get one for a map that my PC handles better, I'll use it. I also just use them for the maps I like. The majority of the time I just get the same maps over and over and over.
If I had a good PC, though? I probably would use them less than I do now.

Worth it, in my opinion. They were way too nice to be discarded.

I would enjoy the mist addons if I felt that they made any significant difference. But since the devs seem to have eliminated the mist altogether they're pretty much worthless. Those and the "hatch / basement spawn" offerings. Between those and the mist addons I always have about 30 or 40 just sitting there doing nothing, waiting to be thrown away by the time I go to prestige. That's around 150,000 BP or more that just goes to waste. I don't use these when I play so I'm certainly not going to spam dozens of matches just to make sure that they get used before I start back over at level 1.
EDIT: I forgot the luck offerings, which appear to do nothing as well. And the "start with other survivors" offerings, which just make things easier for the killer. Then there are the flashlight and map add-ons, and I never use flashlights or maps.
...Good lord, I just realized that like half my BP are completely wasted. Now I'm depressed. :(

Just Haddon and Bedham.

I'd get rid of a lot of offerings honestly. Maps for sure. Instead I'd make it so in the lobby when it counts down from minute survivors get to pick 4 maps out of 7 that they don't want to play. Then the killer gets to pick the map from the remaining 3 without the survivors knowing which one it is.

Map offerings should be for killer only
Would increase the number of bloody streamers survivors get by a metric ton

It would be awesome if they could somehow think of a system to allow players to vote for the map they want out of a selection, maybe 3 assorted maps that get voted on out of all of them. Unfortunately, with survivors being 4 and the killer being 1, I don't see that working out.
But my thoughts? I agree on all your points, especially the fact that they're a bloodpoint sink that I never use, like the fog offerings.
Only problem: you put "No more Spoopy Myers" in the wrong category.

I'd get rid of the useless hook offerings first. Why did the moon offerings have to go? I quite liked those

Yes. I don't use them myself, I just use BP offerings, but I know those that use them, use them for something specific. Usually it's a SWF who wants to try for an easy game.

No. I sometimes use map offerings when I don't want to play on the same 3 maps every game.

Nah, becomes sometimes I get sick of being sent to the junk yard three times in a row and I want to be sure to mix things up for the forth. Of course, sometimes you get a competing junkyard offering and guess which place we get sent? I’ll give you a hint: not mine.

Map offerings shouldn't be a thing. I really hate it when a teammate sends us to Saddonfield. Basically forcing us all into a boring game that few actually enjoy. Survivors and teams shouldn't be able to choose where they go.
I like the idea of the killer choosing the map though. You know you're in for trouble when the 5th offering is Mary's Letter or a Hawkins Lab I.D.
