Perks w/ unnecessary downsides: Cruel Limits
If you don't know what this perk does, because you've never seen it or whatnot, it basically blocks all windows within a 32 meter radius of a gen when that gen is completed, and they stay blocked for 30 seconds.
32 meters is really not that big of a radius in the grand scheme of things, especially on big maps. And like Blood Favour, the survivors usually won't be affected by this perk at all if they do the smart thing which is run straight away from the area. If they recognize you have the perk that's what they'll do, but smart players will do that anyway.
30 seconds for the windows to be blocked is an inconsequential amount of time. A survivor could probably loop you around just a pallet for 20 seconds, and then they wait a few more and then your perk is over. I guess the perk can help to make survivors use pallets quicker because they (kind of) can't use windows, but if you're having to get through more than 1 pallet in a single chase and still haven't downed them, you're probably wasting too much time anyway.
At least this perk doesn't have a cooldown. Nevertheless, this is a terrible perk. You would use it for Demogorgon's adept challenge and that's it, unless you're going full meme one day.

And what is that "downside"? Survivor looping at pallet?

It should either:
Block windows 24/32m of the killer's terror radius
OR
Block all the windows in the map.
Honestly, perks shouldn't even reward you for having a gen getting done, including Fire Up. Coup de Grace and Bitter Murmur are different scenarios though.
1 -
Should be a map wide perk they didn't take in account to maps where gens are literally nowhere vaults lol
2 -
How about just blocking the survivors from moving beyond 32m radius of the completed gen? For 30-45s probably.

Should block round the killer, still less requirements than surge etc.
1 -
that would make it fairly SWF sides though, they can communicate when would be an OK time to pop gens where randommers would screw eachother over without knowing it.

All it needs to be good is remove the duration and make it last the whole match. Maybe lower the range to 24m if it's too strong.

Definetly should block around the killer, not the gen completed. Would be kinda playable, after all while you are chasing the other survivors are working on gens so it makes sense.

It would be annoying for the survivor who is getting chased I suppose. Imagine you were doing well vs a bubba and someone else pops a gen right before you try to vault and get instadowned.
1 -
Well there is nothing wrong about a perk being annoying. The problem is when its oppresive.
Yeah, itwould screw up some survivors in chase but that's the point about perks, and both killers and survivors have to try to play around them.

And block every window on the map?

you could just say all of demos perks tbh

I would just like to know why "Cruel Confinement" was to changed to "Cruel Limits". That doesn't even make sense.
0 -
It was triggering to some
0 -
How can "Cruel Confinement" possibly be triggering?

Any perk that relies on survivors finishing gens should be strong, since you have no control of the perk.
1 -
What if it blocked all windows within 32 meters until the next gen is done, i dont think that would be too powerful.

Ok so why don't they buff Cruel limits to block all windows AND PALLETS within a 32 meter radius?
Basically make it a dead zone for 30 seconds.
I still would probably never use it lol... but at least it would be somewhat useful.

No different than Haunted Grounds.

For the small number of people that have been kept prisoner within their own homes by a family member. I think that’s the reason they gave.

The idea with fire up is its supposed to make the game harder on the survivors as the game ends, which isnt an awful concept at all imo. Really fire up needs a buff
1 -
Oh...this is actually much more serious than I thought.
0 -
Yeah... I changed my mind, I was really overthinking it, sorry.
You're right, I think Fire Up is a nice concept and deserves a buff.

My post to you inspired me 😂
I wish more stuff went with that concept honestly. 👍
1 -
Oh boi.
I'd probably add Bamboozle somehow since it makes vaulting faster, lol.

Little off topic but i call this crack doc and its a fun build 😂

A bit weird for those people to be playing a game whose entire premise revolves around being trapped as a prisoner in an eternal cycle of abuse.

Can’t disagree with that, but then trauma is a complicated issue isn’t it. Sometimes logic or reason doesn’t play a part in it.
