If killer is so hard and unbalanced, why do you play it?
I see a lot of complaining on here about how awful and difficult it is to play killer, how unfair the game is, yet most of you are killer mains. So why is that?
I played killer only for a long time and it was just too easy. After that initial learning of the game, I never had to get better or develop new skill so I switched to survivor. I also like the teamwork aspect. So, why do you continue to play killer if it’s so bad and makes you angry?

I continue to play killer through the unbalanced perks and stuff due to me enjoying the roll. However that doesnt mean i hate toxic survivors and swf groups due to me finding it unfair espesially with bugged match making

Because it takes more skill than survivor and i find holding m1 for 80 seconds to be really boring.

I find it more difficult than survivor (and more stressful, which is why I play survivor a bit more) but when it's fun it's really fun

There is so much to do as killer the match is intense from start to finish. When i play survivor its the same thing over and over not being chased work on a gen not unhooking work on a gen you can do totems if you want but always be doing gens

Ive never found killer to be hard to play I find it easy to get the 4K. I find it takes a lot more skill and coordination playing survivor. I just think some of these killer mains just cry when they get looped for 5 mins cause they suck and gens get done. This is why dbd makes more long range hitters to give all these libs a chance

It’s not bait. They call anything I post as bait because they cannot answer honestly. The fact is they play killer because it’s easy. They just don’t like to admit it.

I find killer more fun to play than survivor. The lows are lower - the other side has way more ability to be nasty to you and there's no one to back you up when you make a mistake - but the highs are higher. Outplaying feels really, really good, and I enjoy being able to (generally) control the flow of the game and decide whether we're all playing softball or hardball. I also enjoy being able to make funny moments happen. If I'm a survivor and a killer spots me crouched in the corner, 99/100 I'm going to get stabbed and have to start running. As the killer, I can slow pan over to them, or make a 'get out of there' gesture, or shake my head. Basically I'm the one who controls whether communications happen, and I like that, because on the other side, the gestures pretty rarely work.

Killer is easy until you get outmatched which isn't very often if you are decent and run S tier with meta perks.

Don't be ridiculous, neither side is somehow extremely hard to play or do well at. You average match of random killer vs random survivors is quite well balanced and better players usually comes on top.
Problems being when either sides begins to use top meta stuff against unprepared opponent. You average red rank solos just don't have good chance to beat good nurse or spirit, tryharding with best build and addons the same way average clown or trapper can't beat 4 man meta equipped gen rushing SWF of good loopers.
But that's asymetrical nature of DBD we all love/hate so much and keep on playing the role we enjoy, be it killer or survivor.

Correct, average matches are fine. But high level ones are not. This is why so many of us fear MMR, because we don't want high level competitive matches every game when the only way to play at that level is to camp, lose 3 gens, and hope NOED gets you the other 3, just watch any high level tournament match.

I usually agree with the survivor points you bring up but this isn't really a fair question. I say this because killer players can say...
"If survivor is so hard and unbalanced, why do you play it?"

Because you honestly should stream and make a living out of playing killer since it's not hard or anything.

When I want to chill and relax, I play survivor since you don't need to stress over holding M1 on gens

This post is coming from the guy who wanted killers to be 4.2 movement speed. Slower than the Huntress or reduce a killers' lunge to make survivor easier. I would take his post's with a small grain of salt.

I get far angrier as a killer than I do as survivor, but I just find it more fun. There's also, admittedly, a power fantasy aspect to it.
I think the two most enjoyable things in this game are playing killer against survivors that aren't TOO good, and playing survivor with a friend against killers that don't camp and tunnel. Winning and losing doesn't matter at that point for me

To be truly good and gain an understanding about the game you need to be good with both roles. My killer experience has made me a much better survivor and vice versa.

I enjoy killer for the challenge and because maining one side is only playing half the game.
But, I also think the game is in a good spot right now and win much more than I lose as killer.
The big question is why do I keep playing Solo survivor 🤔

As somebody who mostly lurks the forums from time to time, I see far more antagonistic posts from survivor-leaning players pushing the whole "entitled killer crybaby forums" narrative then I do actual entitled killer mains.
Anyways, I play a bit of both and I actually think the game is fairly well-balanced for what it is. But yeah, I play killer because static shock go brrrr and chainsaw sprint go vroom.
